  1. Sam Goody has been closing a lot of their stores and stuff has been on clearance for months now. At 30-40% off most of the stuff was STILL not a good deal because their prices are so bad to begin with, but I was just there today and everything is now 70-80% off. Lots of anime left at my store, along with some less popular CDs.

I got an RF Modulator, The Godfather Part II, some DVD-based movie trivia game, and a bunch of RCA cables/RCA->Stereo coversion cables.

  2. Was doing my normal rounds Saturday and stumbled on an Eddie Bauer bocce ball set. This isn't your kids bocce ball set, it's the heavy weight regulation set. There were 3 sets no sku's on any. Wodden case was cracked some but all in all everhting else was perfect. I know this cost around 60 or so when they were out last year. Called one of the inventory people over to give me a price. She looks around just decides to blurt out how's 9.99 sound? Sold! Was tempted to get all 3 but the otder half allready gave me that crooked look for buying the one.

The set the comes in a brown bag is $50, the set in the wooden crate is $99 I think.

Edit: just checked, $89, but it's on sale for $69 this week. Either way, you got a crazy good deal. :)

  3. People are allowed to make mistakes you know. I once tried to buy a house that was listed for $795. Needless to say, I could not buy it at that price. Sure tried though (not to hard).

Yeah, don't take it out on them too much if you don't get it... getting in on a price mistake is nice, but there's no reason to complain if you don't.

  4. I found a $70 Gerber hunting knife for $14 bucks, My hubby loves it. All stores are different but there is a particular one that is my favorite.

Nice! A while back I got a 3" Gerber folding knife for 75% off ($10 final price). Would have bought all of them if they had more, I already had one of the same knife and it's my favorite knife I've ever owned. Also got two Gerber money clip knives for 75% off ($4.50 final price) and a Leatherman for 75% off ($12.50 final price). Those are some of my favorite Target purchases ever. :D

  5. Yeah, yeah I get it. For all the flame that I got, I'm surprised that the only support I got was from Rossman. I was just looking for someone else that might be in the same boat as I. But, noooo, you all had to jump all over me.

A deal is a deal, but if you could choose between 50% off and 30% off, no one here would take the 30%.

See, here's the thing... if you came in here and said you were disappointed that you bought the remote previously (at a good price) because you're missing out on the even better price, then you'd get a lot of empathy from us - we've all been there. I buy stuff on clearance at Target all the time that I KNOW will go lower if I wait longer, but I don't know if it'll last that long - so I buy it when it's at a price that's worth it to me. And if it goes down I buy more. My wife gets pissed that I have a several year supply of deodorant, toothpaste and cleaning supplies, but I got a good deal. :P

But you came in here all pissed off at Dell because they screwed you and so on and so forth. That's why you're not getting any sympathy from us, because most of us don't feel the same way.

With electronics more than ANYTHING, the price you buy it at will almost always be more than the best deal you can get in the future. That's an almost universal truth, at least now that the dotcom bust happened and companies actually need to make a profit.

    C'est la vie.

  6. At my Target today they had River Rock brand keychain LED flashlights for $1.50. I can't tell if they're brighter than the generic keychain LEDs I got online for $1 (plus shipping) because it's light out, but they have a similar size LED and they have a reflector, so it's a fair bet they are brighter. They're made of anodized aluminum and twist to turn on - more convenient than the kind you have to squeeze and hold to turn on. They take 3 button cell batteries. Regularly $6, 75% off.

Also found Krypton and Xenon replacement bulbs for 2, 3 and 4-cell maglights. 75% off.
