Theres still a ton left in my area, I bought mine to sell it on ebay for the free case lol. Just sold it above my selling cost, like 5$. Just in it for the case. I will be getting the Compaq netbook at BestBuy, the acer is nice, but the compaq has a newer processor N455 and windows 7. Not a huge difference.
-
There are placeholders for the compaq netbooks, not the desktop package. So some items it seems will be available. There ad is available online also, and the doorbusters page is up and available (might not be publically advertised on bestbuy's website but its there). NO Secret Sales shown. Alas, the waiting game we play.

The forecast for Sarasota, FL shows a balmy 82 high and 60 low. Thoe Friday afternoon and evening has that dropping to a low of 48 and a 40% chance of rain. So if that cold front moves in earlier then expected, we can get some weather thursday-friday transition. If not. Seems global warming is making this a very easy bareing Black Friday. Which... sucks... I like a little excitement.

According to the model number it is highly unlikly that it has windows 7. I went to my store today the floor model was a windows 7 edition and did not match the sale item. This item is not likly a store displayed model and is a special order for them. It should not be on display come tommorrow and you will need a store employee in electronics to get it from the back.

Yeah wild, I was going to stop by the store and just check it out. But never ended up being in the area. Ill be camped in my area soon enough . Hopefully be first, last year I wasn't and it kinda hit me lol. All or nothing baby! Im not changing my arrival time, I have some morals.. but im scared what it may do to the area with people hearing about it lol.

If your in the top 15, usually you get to know what people are there for. I make it known that a friend or family member may come when the doors open. But I also make it known, they are not getting a doorbuster ticket item. Im there the entire time, I may leave if I have someone spot for me to get somthing at home or whatever. But my friend may leave and come back in the morning. Im the only one getting a ticket item. Thats fair to me.
-
Only limits im aware of is 1 ticket per item. Everything else is fair game, laptops big or small your allowed 1 ticket per item. Not 1 item per type. Last year I got 2 different laptops and a desktop that required tickets.

Midnight Wendsday would be a good avg for locations. If no one is there by midnight, just sleep in car till morning. The likly hood of someone campin up till morning is very slim, whos going to wake up in the middle of the night to specifically get there at 3am? No one, my local bestbuy doesn't really have people start lining up (30+) till about 1-3am FRIDAY. But the line does start early thursday morning.
-
Im hoping they provide a ticket for the netbook. Since its not a doorbuster we shall see.

Well there goes another year without a shirt, I tried a couple of times each year. Heres to next year. XL just a wee bit too large for my skinny self. As always thanks for the effort Brad.

1 week till I camp out , got to think minimalistic my friend.

Its all fair game to me, but Target always seems to be a mad house in my area. Can't even more around. I did walmart couple years back and had a breeze, in and out in 15. Target had all the lines backed up. -
Its almost always shipped to house, so sometimes you need to pay shipping. But it has happened where people will order with shipping and then free shipping is offered shortly there after. Its a gamble ordering online just as much as it is waiting in line. You can read the horror stories were people have ordered to never receive the product becuase quota couldn't be filled, or someone got free shipping by waiting, or the page wasn't loading properly and missed out on a deal. Im not saying this WILL happen. Im just saying its a gamble either way. You could very well likly have no issues. I've waited in line at Bestbuy and seen the items come up available to buy online but I choose to still wait in line. Did that last year and managed to snag some of there secret sale items. So ehh. Best sure fire way, wait in line and get your wifi on and order online while in line :-p

The specs are simliar to every other netbook out there in the cheapo range, 1.4 webcam, 5400rpm hard drive, 1gb memory, intel atom 1.6ghz, intel gma video, 10.1 led screen, 6 cell battery, 2-3hr life etc There all the same. Its just brand and design, I like the acers but I will be picking up the compaq myself. You also can bet your bottom dollar the netbook will be available online since it is not a door buster. I plan to still camp thoe, its for the expierence of the day, can't get that online. Seriously who wants to sit at home with relatives, thats what christmas is for. If I was home, id be ignoreing everyone anyways so screw it.
-
The netbook will be hot, but they will have alot of them I predict. Min 8, I would easily see 15, and since they have a 200$ model also, i can so 30 netbooks total. So you'd be suprised. I still would like to see a sub 300$ laptop for sale. Since walmart seems to have smoked them in the laptop department.
-
Don't get your hopes up, those "secret" deals that come out online were preety crappy also. Every year just keeps getting worse and worse. Terrible. The netbook is a great deal, but thats about it. I mean seriously 89.99 for a 1TB external? Target has the 2TB for 69.99, what are they smokin!?!

Do Silver Reward Zone customers get early black friday deals?
Klownicle replied to AleaHBaker's topic in 2010
If its anything like last years, you will not get access to door busters. Just some of the deals that are onsale. Nothing fantastic. -
Sarasota, FL

Refurb. I'm not pulling the trigger till sub 200$ anyways.
-
Depressingly lack luster so far in the netbook department. Im starting to get worried. A 250$ here, and 270$ there, they were 200$ last year. Come on retailers step it up!
-
From some of the deals I have seen so far. It seems that article posting tv deal prices is a little off. Which is good to see them coming out lower. The 26in for 198$, or the 42in for 400$. Lookin good so far. But the laptop deals are lack luster right now. Bestbuy with there 278$ and Walmart with there 288$. There all really outdated specs, im really suprised in that end. These models should be 200$. I just hope the netbooks come down like they did last year. I haven't seen ANY netbook deals

They always tell me, "you always know before us".

And so it begins. Wicked setup, especially the hd antenna and the 5.1 lol. I just run with my car batteries and a laptop. Enough to keep me entertained.

Its not that they want search engine traffic. Its that they are getting listed in the search engines early enough for that when they do update that section, the engines will just update there cache of the page. And they have already been page ranked.
