WOOO!!! No stores in my area are doing the movie. Yey! I'm surprised the 179$ laptop is available online. I would have thought they'd have one laptop not available. I'd never do online ordering with BestBuy on Black Friday. I've heard of too many horror stories.

I wonder how long till the annouce the list of locations.

I don't think it will change the people that still won't go because of Turkey. I definitely think there will be lots more people for opening. Ie my store has had easily a couple hundred. I can see that increase without a doubt since its still today shopping even thoe its midnight.

Every year at my store, no one lines up untilled around 7pm. So traditionally there are only about 20 people in line at that time. Honestly since they're opening earlier I really don't think the times will change much when most people will line up just because of thanksgiving. I don't think I have to get earlier than I usually do. the lines will definitely grow faster though.

Its ok, Bestbuy's Ipod Touch 32gb is 294$ in there ad, but its 274$ on there website right now.

I don't think you should have done hour by hour up to 12am. This is for the hard core people. You should have done time slots up till Monday - Friday. Somthing like Monday-Wend 8am Wend 8am-12noon Wend 12noon-8pm Wend 8pm-8am Thur Thur 8am-12noon Thur 12noon-5pm Thur 5pm-10pm Thur 10-12am Fri :-p You'd get a much better poll outlook for the hardcores users. I won't dare give up my time.

Not bad. Typical deals. Wonder if we will see more. Its un like Walmart to do this but hey. I'm liking some of those. But others are soso. I mean 10$ for 8gb stick? Even stapled beat them on that.

I highly doubt we will see the big ticket items, and I doubt it will be a full ad. I'm going for utter disappointment. After many years of this "preview" stuff. I've learned not to get my hopes up. BestBuy, Target and Walmart compete year after year. Why would Walmart release the goods this early just to let BestBuy get the one-up.

Make sense for walmart to do Big Ticket at 12am. Everyone else is opening up at 12am that does big electronics. And btw, am I the only one that is scared at the thought of Guns onsale at Black Friday?

Target every year has done a cheap external. But keep this in mind. The hard drive shortage might affect the deals and pricing. You can get a 2tb internal at bestbuy for 79$ right now and you could buy a external case from newegg. You might end up being cheaper that way. Also, every external I have bought from target on Black Friday died a year later. The past one dieing last week with thousands of bad sectors. Just a FYI. I'm usually a big backer of WD, but every external i've had from them has done the same thing. Just my 2 cents. I'd still be buying it this year thoe :)

Yeah thats about the only thing I saw, the 50$ laser printer and 150$ color laser. I don't think there great deals. Maybe the 50$ laser.

The target and best buy sales so far have been good imho. The Walmart sales are just getting started. Wait for the weekend. I bet you walmart will do a laptop for sale before black friday. They have done it every year. Just like I was telling my friends that target will have a "netbook" for sale. It will happen give it time. Every year you get what you want. It takes a special kind of person to see the "good" deals after they get what they want the previous year. IE; I got my TV last year. Its a great TV. Got a great deal on it. Its doubtful anything new will show up this year that will suit my fancy better then what I have. So every year you will see posts like this.

I don't know about everyone else, but im keeping my fingers crossed that BestBuy doesn't evade my line camping with a movie. I'd change stores just for that alone, some people might be trying to sleep. I can't imagine how this will be done at large plaza's. My area theres tons of other stores also open at the same time. Parking lot filled with cars, and people walking and driving by. Just seems like a recipe for disaster.

Considering Target labeled the "netbook" as a "notebook". I wouldn't put it aside that the Target is a LED just like BestBuy.

Well that seals it. Honestly I hope this "cinematic" event isn't at my store. It will force people to get there even earlier due to the more pubic view. Least there both opening up at midnight. They better be packing one heck of a ad to justify this.

I love how ads like these bring out the competition in stores. Something we don't see unless its this time of the year.
