Is it that time of the year again. Personally last year went by much quicker. It was my first time at bestbuy. There were alot of people there but I didn't have a problem getting what I wanted, mind you I was first in line lol. But anywho, im not worried. Although, I wouldn't be suprised if the deals are lack luster this year. I think my best hope is for some good blu ray disc deals, or a netbook deal. Not much else I would be in the market for. In the 5 years I have done this, black fridays have progessivly become not as exciting.

I bought my blu ray laptop last night, I found a better deal with this bestbuy 2 day sale. Ill still wait inline for a friend for the 379$ or cheaper laptop. Unless they have a nice GPS or blu ray standalone for cheap, I won't get anything else.

I line up becuase its fun. I did that last year and there were quite a few people for the 800$.

Im a heavy BF fan, and from what I can see theres nothing that says WAIT TILL BF! Im looking to spend 900-1000$ on a laptop with blu ray. I was hopeing for some really good blu ray deals. Theres no blu ray push! All the blu ray stuff that there selling at sub-standard prices, are old models. The only SOMEWHAT good deal for me, is the Sony Vaio 899.99 besbuy laptop with the free blu ray movie. But right now for 899.99 you can get a HP Pavillion on there website with a 17in screen and a bigger HD and dedicated video memory card. Do I want to wait 24 hours for a sony vaio with a small hd, small screen, and a free bond movie.. No. I just may skip this year. :no: There ad is nothing different then what is out, except thats its got a few "oh look a 400$ laptop".

I think the sony laptop is a decent deal. You won't find a blu ray laptop for under 950$. And this one is a SONY for 899.99 with a free casino royale on blu ray. I like that. The Internal Blu Ray Rom by LG is a good one too. Its 99$ on newegg right now, but this is in store which you usally don't see at a place like bestbuy. Not on sale by much, but id pick it up just becuase its local.

Supercenters are always open, its the non super centers that are usually closed.

For one, those HP Model numbers are completely off, no HP Model number is that long. The 8NR should just be NR no 8, because the series number has always been 5000 6000 7000 8000 etc. No 80008NR. In a quick look of specs, those all look to be el-cheapo laptops. Not too excited, I was looking to dish out a cool 800 or so for a nice blu ray laptop. But there just rumors so who knows. And I am a bit disappointed with the lack of Blu-Ray push on most of these ads, but again its still early to tell.

Not sure about circuit city closings, my location still has all the stores listed under the zipcode. By they just built a circuit city right next to a new bestbuy.

I already have a second part time job, just 8 hours a week. Good pay used to be my full time job. So I kept it. But im going to see if I can have more hours. Mabye bump it to 15 perchance. I already do 40hours a week at my other.

I would say no. Sub 100$ prices with a standardized format is when you should buy. Upconversion dvd players show alot of protential when hooked to a 1080 tv. MY 2 cents. :)

How does compusa regulate two lines? One line for the 5am? and one line for the 9pm to midnight. That HP laptop looks like a steal. Does compusa do tickets?

That is true, in the normal area on the shelf. Thats where I got my non-door buster last-year. :)

As long as your in the front of the line, theres nothing to worry about. Thats where im always, and I have never had any problems everyone in the front of the line is useally really cool and understanding.

I do know you need to purchase the items, then they give you a rebate for the items for free that you need to mail in. Thats what they did last year and in the fine print it says after mail in rebates.

It says in the Circuit City ad, that you get 100$ instantly off any laptop, then it stats right below this, FREE BroadbandExpess Access Card from Verizon after Mail in Rebate, requirs 2 year subscription. I know last year circuit city offered a rebate if you subcribed to vonage for a laptop. Does this appear to be the same thing? Has anyone, any idea of the quantity of laptops per store? Past experience or any store average.
