  1. Walmart corporate policy is 3 returns in a year with no receipt.

Each store is supposed to comply with that.

If you have a valid return, let them get managements approval, they're just supposed to "watch" the people that return constantly but it sounds like you aren't trying to rip them off so no worries. :)

  2. wow, did everybody read that? The MOD will ask "What brings you in today?"

If you say xbox 360, you get a ticket. If you don't say xbox 360, you'll never know they are there, until you see somebody carrying one, then it'll be too late ! heh No more stampedes?

    PS thanks for the info.

  3. Next year, the PS3 shortages will be the same.... if not worse than the XBox 360. I'd preorder ASAP... usually preorders are available the day after e3 expo ends in May.

Definitely. And since EB games oversold their xbox 360 preorders (a friends preorder has been pushed back to 2nd week in january, supposed to get it on launch day), I'll be first in line when they arrive.

Lol preorder and still gotta camp out :?

  4. They say ALL the kmarts open right now, will stay open. They will turn into "sears outlet" stores, no matter how close they are to a Sears (kind of dumb since the mall sears is about 400 yards from kmart here). Selling the same kmart stuff but also high end electronics from sears and BD/Craftsman tools.

Sears stores will be adding the popular stuff from kmart (just martha stewart crap if I recall correctly.)

  5. I didn't, I can wait 2 months until everybody has them :/

But I did see at least 8 people in line with best buy shirts on the night before about 11pm.

Guess they were going to buy them then go straight to work after being up all night?

The line here was ridiculous at 11, probably 30 people. I went in later that day (about 2 pm) and it was almost as busy as BF, did they have some super deals that weren't in the ad?

  6. It shouldn't be a problem for most people that have a legitimate return.

This is mainly for the people that "rent" higher priced products.

Or people that put an older item in a similar box and return it (or older broken things in the correct box).

But the broken/older returns could be resolved by having people at the customer service/return desk that HAVE A CLUE! How about a little better training big business! Before trying to shaft the average joe that isn't trying to stiff you with a 15% restocking fee.

  7. You have to have an odd sense of humor, and a kind of tweaked way of looking at the world to get it. Millions of people do though, his site gets more traffic than 99% of internet sites.

The whole site is hilarious, check out the article "For every animal you don't eat, I'm going to eat three" a jab at vegetarians

  8. each store will have around 40? Why camp, in 3 weeks you won't be able to move without stepping on one in ANY store.

The issues they have had is overheating, it is a quick fix, just set it on something to get it off the floor so the power supply gets a good airflow.

Don't put it in a corner, or in an entertainment center without good ventilation.

It is basically a 3.4GHz computer, in a lot smaller case. Reports are it heats up a room as well as a small space heater.

  9. Is this place for real? lol

Every couple months they drive around my tiny town (guess they deliver to people here?) with a little white pickup with a topper, knock on the door, and say they have "extra" steaks, burgers, etc. and try and sell it for 50 or 75% off.

I'm always leery about buying from them because there are no dates on the meat (when packaged, sell by etc.)

Can I trust them? Omahasteaks is painted on the truck, can't help but think this is one of those things my mother warned me about

"Don't buy meat from two guys out of the back of a pickup" :hungry:

  10. Oh man!......you are making me nervous. What sucks is that on the PNY website, it shows that it has been certified by all major computer manufacturers.

I got the PNY Optima 512MB PC2700 memory. I haven't gotten to installing it, should I go ahead and return it?

Although PNY is the only brand of memory I personally have had problems with (just bad straight out of the package). As with all products, occasionally you get a bad stick. If you already have it, go ahead and use it.

Don't worry about frying the mobo, I've been doing pc repair since memory cards were the size of a manila envelope (16 years, from 8086 up to today) and have never heard of a mobo frying from bad memory, most likely it was installed opposite the nubs or not pushed in all the way.

Just go to radio shack and get an ESD strap (about 6 bux) and don't do it on the carpet.

Google "pc upgrades memory" there are a LOT of sites that tell how to do it safely and correctly.

  11. i added a gig of memory to my bb laptop, and it flies now. i think i paid 72 shipped for the memory from newegg. major difference. i wonder if this laptop can be overclocked? maybe to like 1.6 or 1.7 at the most...

just a fyi - overclocking DOES void warranty.

One stick of 1GB or two sticks of 512MB? What brand?

2 sticks of DUAL CHANNEL is always better (as long as the laptop can use it)

The brand depends on who you talk to. The only brand I've ever had problems with is PNY, I regularly use Kingston or Crucial. They cost a little more but you get what you pay for.

2-512mb dual channel better than 1-1gb

2-1gb dual channel better than 1-2gb

    etc. etc.
