hmmm..... I got excited when I saw the post, but after going to Amazon and reading the listing, I found a few problems. 1) In order to get the $30 rebate you had to buy the mouse & the keyboard. 2) The rebate form on Amazon said the purchase had to be made by 2-27-06.

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2005-06
Cru replied to Gator Pam's topic in Offline Hot Deals
WoW! I'm blown away by some the amazing deals people are getting at Target. I do have one simple request: Instead of saying 'I went to my Target', is it possible to list the town and state? I live in the metro Detroit area and I have 5 Targets all within 20 minutes of my house. Many times I've travelled from store to store to find sale/clearance items and only end up burning gas. Thanks and keep up the bargain hunting! -
Anyone recieve any rebates yet from Black Friday?
Cru replied to skytrain's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I got the laptop, printer, router, sandisks memory sticks, and a targus computer carrying case all from Circuit City. All total I think there were something like 12 seperate rebates totalling $300. So far I've received 4 checks for $105. Keeping my fingers crossed that the rest will arrive soon. Had an issue last year with Best Buy. Thank God I always cover my butt:gd_shake: and make copies of everything I send to them. -
Volcano Bar and Grill, Johnny's Fillin Station Cafe, Gino's Pizza and Brew, and Detroit Joe's. Sorry if this was already posted, but I didn't see it on the forums so 'Long Live My Post!'

Smokin hot! Samsung ML-2010 laser printer $29.99 AR - Office Depot
Cru replied to mrn8's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Well I went in the Walmart website and went to their printers and found the rebate form there. http://i.walmart.com/i/rb/4052.pdf Only problem now is that Office Depot doesn't have any in available online or in my area (Utica, Michigan). -
If you love to go out to eat, heading on vacation, or even looking for a gift for that hard to buy for person, then I found a gem of a deal. Go to www.Restaurant.com and find the restaurants in your area. Most of the restaurants offer great deals on meals. Some are 50% off the entire food bill and others are you spend $10 and get a $25 dining certificate. Now if that weren't good enough, I found a few discount codes that will take 50% your entire bill at Restaurant.com!!! I'm heading to Disney World in Feb. with the family and just got done buying 5 certificates worth $85 and it costs me $11!!! Even though I'll be paying thru the nose to visit Mickey and friends, at least I'll be able to give my wallet a rest at night! Save even more on already discounted gift certificates from Restaurant.com! Enter a promotional code listed below in the field on your shopping cart. Remember to click "Recalculate Total" to apply your savings. Use promo code 99489 for an extra 50% off. Expires 1/22/06. Use promo code 53649 for an extra 50% off. Expires 1/31/06.

hmmmmm........... that kinda sucks cuz the one in Utica, Michigan is actually a newer store (5yrs old?) and when they run sales their price is usually better than office depot and staples.
-
I was just over at ebgames and they have a flyer on their website that has some good prices on a few different games. Also they're running some in-store deals as well. If nothing else you can go to page 4 of the circular and get a free download. http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/ads/promos/FSI/December05/page_1.asp

Went by the local Best Buy shortly after midnight and there were at least 30 to 40 hardcore campers waiting. Must have received another shipment!

Hey I'd like to upgrade the memory and battery. Where's the best place to pick them up? BTW me and my buddy both camped out and picked up laptops. He's having a field day with his and as soon as I finish filling out all the rebates from CC (38 of them!!) I'll actually start running mine thru it's paces.
-
They had 20 of them in Utica, Michigan. Not sure how many of them came with the bs software package, but they were offering people the option. I was 3rd in line and got mine :) , but boy it took forever for them to sign me up for AOL and ring up my stuff ( 3 1/2 hours...... ). I wasn't really impressed with CC and will probably go somewhere else next year.
-
WoW! Hey adster I did the CC thing as well and I have to agree with the slllloooooowwwwwwwwwww customer service. Although I didn't have to endure the nightmare you went through, I did have to wait forever to get signed up for AOL and to get my merchandise rang up. I was 3rd in line and it took me over 3 1/2 hours before I was finally able to walk out of the store. Way too long............ Yeah I think if I do BF next year it will definitely be at a different store. I read alot of positives about other stores but not one single positive about CC.
-
hehe, well I know that I was the only BF forum reader in the Circuit City line. We started talking about who was going to get what, and I had to help clarify all the laptop misinformation people had with the facts that I got from reading this forum. :) I think it's important to talk/bond with the people around you if you want to have a positive experience.

Amen! Thanks to everyone who provided valuable information! I got the tv, laptop, and everything else I was looking for! :)
-
Yeah I bought the 32" RCA tv at CC for $199. Wrestled the thing down the stairs at home and got it all set up just to see 2 distinct defects on the screen. The picture is on the entire screen, but in these areas the picture is a greyish-blue. What a joy it will be to pack it back up and return it....
-
Yeah CC was a joke. I live in the Metro Detroit area and we got in line at 10pm and were 3rd and 4th in line. I got a voucher for the laptop, but when they finally opened at 5 they let all 500 people in line in the store at once. Well after I grabbed all my other items on the want list I went to get my laptop. They had a huge line for people to sign up for AOL (had to sign up to get the $250 off) and only 1 computer that could do it..... Needless to say that took forever. Then I still had to stand in another line for another 2 hours to get my laptop and items rung up. So I got in the door at 5 but didn't leave until 8:30..... Glad I got the laptop, but boy do they make you pay for it in patience......

Camped out at CC from 10pm (3rd in line) and didn't get home until 8:30am. I did get the laptop, tv, and everything else on the early bird list, but damn are they slow at CC.....
