  1. Blu-ray, also known as Blu-ray Disc (BD) is the name of a next-generation optical disc format. The format was developed to enable recording, rewriting and playback of high-definition video (HD), as well as storing large amounts of data. The format offers more than five times the storage capacity of traditional DVDs and can hold up to 25GB on a single-layer disc and 50GB on a dual-layer disc. Blue-ray, along with HD-DVD, are the next generation formats of DVDs. They are in competition with each other similar to when VHS and Betamax first came out.
  2. If you shop Target, here's an idea (read this on last year's GottaDeal BF forums and it worked perfectly for me): Check out the BF circular on GottaDeal Shop the Sunday before BF and purchase all those items from the BF circular you want at the regular price Return to store on BF with receipt and head directly to customer service to receive your refund difference on sale items I did this last year and made my stop at Target last on BF - in & out of store in 15 minutes. This gave me better planning options for my "assault" on BF sales elsewhere
  3. Just wanted to express my gratitude to the Administrators and forum members for making this year's BF the most efficient one ever for me. By using the ad info, taking advice from seasoned members and using links for coupons, BF was over in four hours for me. Purchased Target BF merchandise last Sunday (got some looks/grins from store employees). Today, in line at Wal-mart at 4:00 (for 5:00 opening), Sears at 6:00, TRU by 6:30 w/ Barbie & TRU coupons and over to Target to price adjust. On my way home by 8:00. Again, kudos goes to everyone involved with this site. You've gained a new lifetime member.
  4. on ebay: xbox 360 premium bundle - 37 bids - $3050.00 - approx. 1 and 1/2 hours left on auction (@ 9:25 pm) absolutely insane
  5. Being my first post, pardon me if I go off on a tangent. To call those who enjoy bargain hunting "whacked" is one's opinion. However, since hearing about this site on the local news and observing the numerous posts, its seems as if what is really happening is a gathering of knowledge to help those who are searching for the perfect deal. To think one would be able to find a "deal" on the IT toy of the 2005 holiday season is absurd. Those who post on this site do so to share their stories of the shopping season, especially Black Friday. And as for the Next gotta have toy, contact your local electronics store to find out when they will be taking deposits for the PS3 so you don't have to search the internet for any last minute launch day "deals".
