I hope you get it Heather! My TiVo is the best piece of entertainment equipment that we have, IMO! It's so easy to operate! If the OP's inlaws want something to wrap, they can buy you a TiVo at Best Buy in a box.

My grandmother is always cold, and she really appreciated an electric throw blanket (a warming throw made by Sunbeam-on clearance at walmart.com). You could also try something to make her bed more comfortable, like a heated mattress pad.

I ordered the Pirates of the Caribbean DVD on 12/5 and have yet to receive it. Unfortunately there's no way to track it on their site. I hope it arrives soon too!

How about something that he can use to play his iPod at home? Maybe the iPod dock that comes with a small set of speakers? My 15 year old nephew is happy with GCs from Best Buy each year-that way he can pick what he wants. Or what about movie tickets? The Pirates of the Caribbean DVD is a great idea too!

Kohl's has decent prices on Tony Hawk shirts, hoodies, and pants. I have bought my son some of it for Christmas too. I think that I got the hoodie the other day for $15.xx. The long sleeve shirts run about $11, and the t-shirts run about $9. The pants I think are around $20 (maybe less). If you don't have a Kohl's near you, then you can get free shipping by spending $50 at kohls.com as long as you order by tomorrow (12/14).

My SIL is getting married again next spring. Her fiance has an 8 year old son from another relationship. I have met this boy only one time, but just found out that they are all coming to town for Christmas. My own son is 9, and I think that they probably have many of the same interests, but the problem is that the gifts I bought for my son are well more than what I want to spend for this little boy I barely know. The LeapFrog DVDs are fun too. My kids loved them, and they help teach them to read and recognize letters/sounds, etc. There's also a math one that is good.
