  1. Did anyone else see all of the TV ads? I saw 50% off sales at JC Penney, Mervyn's, Linens & Things. I also saw an ad for a sale at Target. What's the deal here? First day of December the reason or something?

  3. You were wise not to bid on that item... I never buy from any seller with less than 50 feedback. There are just too many rip-offs happening and it's not worth it. What's the max. you can pay, elena?
  4. If anyone is after Season 3 of the show 24, I have a $10 off coupon that I'd be happy to send to anyone in the mail (free) if they're actually going to use it. It's for Costco so make sure you're a member and then PM me :) Valid 12/27/04 to 2/7/05
  5. I saw some amazing prices on the Seinfeld DVDs yesterday. Target had Seasons 1&2 or Season 3 sets for $26.99. Costco had them for $31, Amazon for $32.47 (retail $49.95) If you're after the gift set (DVDs plus salt/pepper shakers, original script, playing cards) you're looking at $119.95 retail or I saw them yesterday at Targfet for $89.99 or Costco for $77.
  6. I did end up grabbing BJD on DVD for this awesome price It turns out that it's the collector's edition as well! You're saving $5 :)
  7. Anyone have any major parking problems on BF? For the most part, we were actually really lucky with parks. We managed to score close parks at almot every store. The biggest problems was when we headed to the JC Penney/Borders at Bellevue Sqaure where parking was PACKED FULL. We drove around for about 20 minutes and not a single car was moving out of their park... We finally spotted a car moving out and so we put the indicator on and then some woman (just the woman, no car...) plomped herself in front of the park with arms wide open! I yelled out the window at how she can't reserve a park without a car and she yelled back before we flagged down a parking attendant who said he couldn't physically remove her, even though she shouldn't have been there. Grrr! I guess on any other day, we would have laughed but we'd been shopping for 4 hours and not in the mood for lame park-reservers!
  8. I loved it!! I got the first rush when we snagged the free Santa ornaments at Mervyn's and it lasted all the way through Target and Costco
  9. We got to OM at 5:30am and were about 5th in line... at about 6am, there were 2 more people and we re-evaluated due to our lips turning blue We decided the FAR items just weren't worth it So we mosyed on over to Mervyn's and Target instead.
  10. Awww, brave of you to take the 2yo! We wouldn't even take the 4yo in our house! Sounds like you had a great BF!
  11. LMAO!!!! That is so funny! Lucky you realised before the other Saturn driver had come out of the store!
  12. Hehee! I didn't sleep the night before so on BF I went to lie down for a 'nap' and ended up sleeping right through to the next afternoon! I slept from about 4pm Friday to 1pm Saturday!
  13. Fred Meyer at 4:45am and was 3rd in line for 5am open! Our Target still had heaps for $17.77 DVDs when I got there... they were just the wrong seasons for me.
  14. momxmom ~ that's not so weird! I brought a camera to take photos
  15. I didn't get any sleep and woke my Mum up at 4am. We rushed to Fred Meyer, which opened at 5am. We were 3rd in line (got there at 4:45am) and there was a KIRO radio crew interviewing people! lol I picked up a pin-up girl 50s style calendar for $7, the new Harry Potter DVD for $15.99 with a coupon, Home Alone on DVD for $10.99 and and old classic xmas movie Mum wanted for $9.99. Then on to OfficeMax, where we planned to line up for the Free After Rebate items but it was just TOO cold! lol We got there at 5:30am and were about 6th in line but we wussed out at about 6am (didn't open til 7am!)! Amateurs we are They WERE handing out tickets for the big things though... Mervyn's -- we picked up 2 of the free Santa ornaments and some Hanes singlets for the little sister for $5 ea 2-pack. I really wanted a Happy Bunny set of pajamas but they were all out of my size. Next, we went to Target because it was right next door. I think we did our biggest lot of shopping there! We picked up: A Few Good Men DVD for $7.50 (been searching for that for AGES!), Shrek 2 DVD for $15.99, Frank Sinatra xmas music for me for $11.98, The Rat Pack xmas music for Mum for $12.99, Ker-Plunk board game for $9.99, a Lite-Bright toy for the little sister for xmas for $20.99, 2 huge jar candles for $4.88 ea (1 cranberry, 1 pumpkin spice!) and some soda. Circuit City -- we were pretty disappointed in what was on sale there. The cheap DVDs had been picked clean, though we did pick up Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil for $6.99. A set of hat & gloves for the little one at Old Navy, which weren't that cheap $14 for the set but were really cute and something we'd been searchign for for a long time. Next was Staples where we missed out on the Buy Ink Cartridge Set, Get Free Starbucks Coffee deal. We also missed out on the lighted Reindeer at Walgreen's for $9.99 -- sold out by 10am. We didn't see anything good at JC Penney (though we bitched out a woman trying to reserve a parking spot) as all of the xmas pajamas weren't what we were looking for. At Border's I used a coupon to get Bridget Jones' Diary on DVD for $9.99 (collector's edition!) and I also picked up a really cool organiser for next year for $20. Costco was a good stop too -- we got Planet Sleep Pajamas for $13.99 (retail $45) and probably my fave item for the day: Buffy Season 2 DVDs for $27.99! We also got some other stuff at the usual good Costco prices but in terms of BF sales, weren't anything special. Long's was our last stop and we used a coupon to Buy 1 Maybelline mascara and get a Free Eyeshadow. Phew! We were shopping for about 9 hours in all and I went straight to bed when I got home! My fave buys were the Buffy Season 2 DVD for $27.99 and the Bridget Jones' Dairy DVD (collector's edition) for $9.99 Very happy (but tired...) shopper!
  16. The closet was always the first place I looked But it all depends on how old/savvy the kids are. We've left a couple in the car, as the 4-year-old is too short to see over the back seat!
  17. We got to OfficeMax at 5:30am and we were 5th in line. We actually gave up at 6am we were so freaking cold!!! lol Guess we're just too amateurish to stick it out Fred Meyer were equally as laidback... I stayed away from BB of course but none of the stores we went to were that crazy. None of the register checkouts had lines either!
  18. OMG! I knew it would be insane but wow.... unbelievable!
  19. Haha, technology.. What are the lines like for ya, Heath? What do you want from CompUSA?
  20. Oooh peach would be nice! Pretty much anything fruity is ok with me
  21. Whoever is headed for Target: what are you buying there? I'm thinking of maybe skipping it in favor of the newly added Bath & Body Works!
  22. My very very favourite is an older one -- Sun-ripened Raspberry? Yuuum. I also bought up big on the Sweet Pea scent and I have my eye on the holiday Cranberry scent which I'm yet to try but I know I'll love!
