Canton, Ohio. More than likely, Walmart!
-
Im hoping there is more variety in toys. Last year it didn't wow me. Don't get me wrong, I got some great deals, but the toy ads didn't impress me at all
-
I wrap early, usually within a week of BF. Prefer to get it out of the way as I hate to do it.

NO real strategy. All I do is on Thanksgiving, my mom/sister/ and I go through all the ads. Write down what we want. Decide who goes where to get each others stuff so we make sure we get it all. (we seperate to help ourselves out) then meet up for lunch to give our purchases to each other. Works out great. Last year I got Walmart, my sister went to KB Toys, and my mom went to Toys R Us.

I enjoyed the fact I showed up at my area Walmart as its 24 hour and I could wait inside. What I didn't know and made me sooooo happy was they already put all the pallets out on the floor for BF and opened them up. They kept on making loud speaker announcements to go ahead and put what you wanted in the carts but you just couldn't check out till 6am. That was fine with me. So at midnight or alittle later, I had all my BF items in my cart and I was able to go at my own pace to get all my price matched items (only things you had to wait for was the Gameboy sps, laptops, and portable dvd players.). As I didn't want them, it was great for me. I'll be going back to that one this year

Im hoping there will be some great deals out there. My son is so hard to shop and this year he wants mainly electronics so Im crossing my fingers

Do you use your Christmas bonuses strictly for BF?
elena_398 replied to reportermomof3's topic in 2006
My husband does get a good christmas bonus, but oddly enough he doesn't get it till after the first of the year. God only knows why they call it that. A lot of it will pay my medical bills this year. But the rest will pay off my credit card as I will charge most of the BF purchased this year -
Walmart is great for milk I also will buy it at Aldi grocery store (every day price of $1.99)

That first pic looks like Kmart on turkey day trying to get the gameboy advance games. LOL. Every year you are in line and try to keep it that way, but those who were later in line rush you and try to grab them as the associates are passing them out. Its a mess. Although I go back every year!

Unfortunately I will have to use plastic this year (I prefer cash as I usually do ever year), but with my upcoming back surgery and all the bills coming in for physcial therapy, hospital stay, etc I have no choice. UGh

Wal-Mart to end layaway...
elena_398 replied to holly2hottie's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Im surprised they are ending it. Guess no layaway for BF this year. That stinks. I had planned to use it this year -
wow congrats

MY 24 hour Walmart last year had ALL BF pallets uncovered. I was there at midnight. To cut down on pushing/shoving you could put what you wanted in your cart but you couldn't check out until the sale actually started. Only things you had to wait for was the portable dvd player and GameBoy Sps. All other items available as soon as you went in. I was done with everything in my cart and price matching stuff within an hour. lol

What do you do to entertain yourself while you're in line?
elena_398 replied to brynnfromtheblock's topic in 2006
watch the idiots drive around in the parking lots a half hour before opening. LOL. LIke a close spot would be available. (yes its the little things that amuse me lol) -
Honestly I hate dealing with rebates and shy away from buying something that has them. I realize in the long run they may be good, but Im the kind of shopper who needs the savings now. Don't have the money to wait until I get some back. So I usually only buy items that have instant savings

Does Burlington Coat Factory have any good BFsales?
elena_398 replied to jadedmomof2's topic in 2006
Never got an ad from them in years. Not sure if they do or not. -
Kmart always has good GameBoy Advance games for my daughter (kids ones). Last year I bought one of each. Cute games at a great price. That alone makes it worth it to me to run out there
-
I've only been to Toys R us twice since going out on BF (for the past 6 years or so). It was crazy too. I just don't like the checkouts. Never organized. If I can't get there by opening, then I skip it (or I'll just price match at Walmart). Lines at my Toys R Us is all the way to the back of the store. Never open all the checkouts either. The only problem I never had though is lack of the toy. Always had enough

We'll definately see a lot more members this year. Word of mouth has been amazing this past year

I will be wearing my Gottadeal shirt! I'll flash it several times. HaHa.

Wal-Mart to end layaway...

That was on the news today. I called my walmart and they service desk confirmed that. Ridiculous -
Im in line by midnight-1am every year and don't come home till noon or so. Last year I made it home a tad early as Walmart priced matched my items at other stores so I was home by 10:30am or so
-
Great deal! I always stand though. I go out by myself so I prefer not to have anything slow me down. Haha. Race in for a cart and head to the deals

I always get a coffee from McDonalds and head home. Unload/hide the items in the garage then go to bed. LOL
