  1. During the shopping in November and December, we start seeing the Salvation Army collectors ringing their bells. Now I don't know about you guys, but I do put in a $1 when I pass them (feel guilt if I pass them up). BUT, my question is, what do you do when you go back to the same store time and time again while christmas shopping. I go shopping all the time and continue to go back to the same stores. Do you drop money in everytime or do you donate the one time to an individuals collection bucket at a particular store? I can't afford to keep giving money as I already adopt a family and provide their entire christmas. What I do is: I donate once to that particular's collector and thats it. I go to as many as 15++ stores during the shopping season so it adds up. What do you guys do? *** Sometimes if I get change though I will drop that in. Im talking about paper money ****
  2. It all depends on the Walmart and your area. I live around tons of diehard BF shoppers. I got at my 24/7 Walmart last year t midnight. I didn't need any of the main electronics on sale (laptop, dvd player, GBA) but thank god I didn't. At midnight, at least 15+ people were already in the electronics department sitting in lawn chairs. LOL

    charity gift trees

My family and I adopt another family for christmas. We take care of everything from stockings, gifts for the whole family, and dinner. last year my daughter even picked out a present for the family's cat. lol. Its a great feeling to know that children still look forward to christmas even though their family's finances may have not been able to come through for them. We usually pick a family that has at least 2 children. I love shopping for them. BF means a lot to me too, to be able to afford to do this. So not only do I shop for my kids, but the family we "adopted"
  4. I save throughout the year and pay cash or use my debit card when shopping on BF. I don't use credit cards

    Charity and BF

My family always adopts a family in need at christmas. We take care of the gifts all the way to the dinner. We've done it for several years now and both my children help out. Its a wonderful thing and encourage more people to do the same
  6. I requested one awhile ago but never got it. I just signed up for an etoys catalogue and it came today already
  7. Lately, I've been checking it more and more. always hoping a new ad will appear. Im averaging twice a day now
  8. I buy all my son's football and wrestling items there. Higher prices, but they do have good sales on occasion. Just a better selection is why I go there
  9. No more systems for my son. He has a Nintendo 64, PS, PS2, and X-box. He tried asking for one of the new systems, but enough is enough. I can afford the systems, but its the games that kill you. As for the TMX Elmos, thank god I have too old of children for those. I only camp out on BF lol
  10. My Walmart has these FP Zebras everywhere in the overheads. Also a tigger toy similar to the bouncing tigger
  11. My daughter is 6 now and she wants the Bratz games. Still have to get those. Of other characters, she has Disney everything (princess game, finding nemo, etc). She also has a game Chicken shoot, Nick games, and spongeBob
  12. I haven't seen any. I've look also when I started seriously shopping last month
  13. I was actually thinking of getting my dad one of these for christmas. Thanks for the super find
  14. About a quarter if that. By the time my husband gets his bonus check, Im pretty much done with buying.
  15. My sister got a PS2 at Kohls the other week. Paid $119 for it. So that sounds about right
  16. Any of the cartoon ones. Thats why I loved Kmarts Thanksgiving sale as they always had GameBoy games on sale for little kids. Of course it wasn't in their ad this year.
  17. My entire street lights up. We have a neighborhood contest on whos house is the best. Most origonal etc. We also have a "Hide the Santa" contest. Its one of those big plastic santas and the person who has it must sneak it on a neighbors house somehow w/o getting caught. Last year we luckily didn't get it, but our next door neighbor woke up to santa strapped to their car. LOL. It was hilarious. Once you got "Santa" you try and do it to the next neighbor. Its about 8 of us on the street. Christmas is fun here.
  18. I signed up. I can always use some tips.
  19. I use the Rubbermaid gift wrap storage containers. I also put in my extra tags in there and bows. Works out great
  20. I am 75% done with my kids. My father is done and my mom is just about. I have one thing for my husband so will shop a bit more for him. I also have my dogs to shop for. Yes, santa comes to them too. LOL

    keeping warm...

I wear my big winter coat, hat, and gloves. For $3.97 Dicks sporting Goods sell foot warmers. Its a gel pad that you put inside your shoe. It activates like the hand warmers. With you walking, it generates the heat. I may buy a set before BF
  22. Thats one great price. Congrats on such a great deal
  23. 2 auctions up. More to come. Better hurry.
  24. I may have to make a Target purchase. Some nice clearanced items
  25. The bath sets are everywhere too and cologne sets w/ holiday packaging. All over the overheads
