I recommend getting diapers (sizes bigger than the newborn and ones because people usually get a ton of these and don't think about the baby getting bigger and needing diapers 2 months down the road) Also I started using Budreaux's (sp?) Butt Paste for diaper rash it is a true miracle worker( I know you can get it in the baby aisle at walmart) also if you intend on getting onesies or sleepers think ahead on these too go for the 6 months or so, trust me the parents will thank you for this. Somewhere on the freebie thread there is an 800 number where johnsons and pfizer will send you a coupon book for several baby items free, mine got here in 2 days. Also, most of the time if you call manufacturers they will send you some coupons for diapers and such they might have a free pack of diapers it might only be 1.50 off but hey that's 1.50 you can use on something else. If you don't get the coupons in time just save the items and make a goodie bag for when the mother delivers to give at the hospital.

I just found out that some Michaels crafts stores carry Thomas stuff and you can use the 40% off coupon that is in the Sunday paper. The coupon is good for one item only though. Dh just bought the Thomas Sir Topham hat set reg 49.99 for 32! Woot

I wish it was. I read the reviews also and looked over all of the seats and thought it was the best for the money but it isn't. I thought with the comapny backing that for sure it would be one of the best seats out there aside from those britax(sp?) ones and boy was I wrong. When I took ds out of his seat and he said his back hurt I thought he's ok just tired from riding, I rubbed it and went on only to find out when I undressed him he had bruises on his spine. I almost cried. I wish I had someone tell me this upfront to save me the heartache and to save him from hurting like he was.

I know you are thinking that for the price of the EB it is a good deal but trust me it isn't. I bought one for my son when he turned 1 yr. for an adjustable transition seat from the infant seat to the booster. And we have had nothing but trouble with the padding or lack there of since the seat was purchased. My son has had actual bruises from the thin cover and lack of padding on the seat. We have to place a pillow at the bottom of the seat on his lower back if we are traveling over 30 minutes from home.

That is how the plant where he worked was offices and packing plant the bottling was at another facility. But yeah, the whole hiring the 2 to pour out the drinks blew me away, they could have given it to the employees or to a shelter or a school. We ran into one of the bosses at the mall we were both ordering chinese food, and he purposely walked halfway across the food court to Taco Bell to get his family Pepsi's. I looked at dh and said if he even tries to say anything to you I am gonna tear into him and slap a lawsuit on him first thing Monday morning. He didn't say anything but he gave us a GTH look for ordering coke.

How did you get them to give you drinks? Dh worked in sales for Pepsi and they were complete @$$e$ they wouldn't give them anything. They had a huge overstock when "company" was coming in and ordered way too much and they actually hired 2 people to come in and pour out the out of date product, almost 2 trailer loads. I drink coke, always have and they threatened to fire dh for being in thier parking lot with a coke bottle in his (meaning ours, not company owned)truck. I think the whole time he worked there they gave him three t-shirts. Maybe it just varies by plants.

Last year at this ale I had a bra to return and I just said I wanted to exchange it looked around and saw all of the sale stuff I got about 400 for free they actually owed me 3 or 4 dollars.

These are some great things, HoHo brought my kids some for Christmas and they love them. And an FYI: the will work on the portable dvd systems as well, we took our three with us to Tenn and the kids played them in the van.

I don't know what age group you are looking for but Walmart has a really cute John Deere set that has three tractors, two horses, two cows, a dog,some fence pieces, a haycutter and a windmill all for $19 or $20. It is all of those cute heavy made chunky metal tractors and trucks with the eyes. No barn though. Ds got one for Christmas and loves it even the 6mo plays with it too. hth.

I had this happen to me once with the fisher price loving family sets that said all accessories buy one get one. I went on to get those camper sets with the boat and since they were 29 or 39 the lady said uh... maam I am sorry these aren't in the promo..then got an ugly tone when I said yes they are accessories everything back there except the house is an accessory. long story short she said it won't work. I told her to scan them then the coupon if it wasn't part of the promo it wouldn't work . Needless to say she gave me a GTH look when I was right and just for spite I walked straight back and bought two more. lol.

another idea, when my cousin turned 18 my aunt and I filled about two to three hundred balloons some with helium some with air and just before filling them we would put a dollar in each one. My cousin is SCARED of bursting balloons so this was funny when she came home and entered her room and was surprized by the balloons but cried when she figured that she had to pop all of them to get the cash.

I have a couple, good for birthdays too. You can get those happy meal boxes from McDonalds and just stick a piece of tape over the tabs to keep from opening it. Also another great one is to use a KFC bucket like they put chicken in, you can either use the top or just put the item inside and top off with some red and white tissue paper. And you can get the boxes and bowls like the ones with the biscuits and potatoes. You can put practically anything in these but you could throw them and stick in a gift card for another different restaurant. these are all free if you just go in and ask.
