  1. Well 10 might be the minimum amount of new units the store would order for a new shipment, but usually for black friday, and when they know something will be a hot seller, they order more than usual in a fresh shipment. Of course they can't have that many of such a large item, sears may have room to keep more on hand depending on what type of store you go to.
  2. Less than 10? There would be no point even trying if that's all they have.
  3. Nice find, it's on page 6 if people can't find it. They also have a pretty good price for a jvc 48 inch with a few more features than the toshiba.
  4. You can find the toshiba for near 1000 in many online places, but shipping always kills the deal. 899 is a good price even with tax. You may also be able to get some cash back if you use your sears card at sears, and the lines at best buy are usually longer.
  5. Rumor is best buy will also have the westinghouse 32 inch lcd for 899 no rebates, only a small portion of all the deals are known there. I would spend the 100 more on this model over the 799 protron at sears if it happens. The JVC is a higher end lcd, so it would be more expensive.

If it was an offbrand, then in my opinion the 51 inch toshiba is quite a bit a better deal. There don't seem to be many deals on any midsize widescreen CRT or projection TVS unfortuntely, LCDS, plasmas are all the rage.

Perhaps, what was the brand/model of that last year 42 incher? A Toshiba is hard to beat at that price with hdmi, granted those types of tvs are becoming less and less common. Best Buy may still have a smaller one, not all of the sales are known.
  8. Wow, how did I not notice that before. Plus at sears, if you use the sears card, you may able to get like 5 percent cash back or no interest. I can not stress how good a tv the toshiba is for that price, obviously they are trying to get rid of the things. Of course you need a lot of space.
  9. This is pretty common for flat screen tvs.
  10. Some of it could be fake, but apparantly the slightly older toshiba 51 inch for 899 briefly last november without hdmi so hopefully they will do it again. And there was much expectation that another store would match walmarts sub 1000 42 inch plasma.
  11. I can't say for all of them, but the source said the toshiba 51 inch is after 400 dollar instant savings plus the sale price, no rebates. And since walmart is selling their 42 inch plasma for under 1000 with no rebates with a similiar discount, that probably doesn't have rebates either.
  12. Some people are hard to please. There aren't a ton of good deals, but there are a few great ones, and overall makes the best buy sale far superior to compusa and most others so far. And these likely aren't all the sales.
  13. I don't think you quite realize the values on these tvs. The toshiba 51 incher usually sells for at least 1400, and the 42 inch plasma will have people lining up. If you aren't interested in tvs, then I guess there isn't that much.
  14. Well apple things never go on sale sorry. Also I must point out that there is no such thing as a westinghouse 26 inch lcd hdtv or any kind of tv, perhaps it is supposed to be 27 inch, which is currently selling for 849 at best buy. The jvc 32 inch lcdtv is a decent price, but I heard a rumor that the westinghouse 32 incher would be on sale for 899, which would make sense going by the sale price on the 27 inch.
  15. Apparantly best buy sold the slightly older version of the toshiba 51 incher last november for 899....can anyone confirm? This newest model has hdmi.
  16. Also, these aren't all of the sales, but just the highlights though there could be more good ones. And apparantly there is no rebates or anything involved with the tvs.
  17. No, I don't, and while most of the deals seem likely, I don't know if the source is reliable, if he wants to post it, go ahead.
  18. Note the maxent plasma, but possibly even better the 51 inch projection toshiba hdtv with very good reviews that sells in many places for 1300-1600. 19. I think they are full of it personally. I have already noticed a lot more shoppers than slow years of the past, despite high fuel prices and the fact that a strong majority hate our president including me (which usually equates to slow shopping).
  20. Here is a brief article that discusses edtv plasmas vs hdtv, remove space: http://www.cnet.com/4520-7874_1-5137915-1.html While it isn't technically hdtv, hdtv still will look pretty damn good on an edtv. The question is, will this be a better choice than some of the lcds that are rapidly dropping in price.
  21. Well, I'm very skeptical, but can anyone recognize the brand?
  22. Nice work, feel free to share anything else you learn.
  23. Obviously best buy. Could happen but thats well below its sale price this week. People have gotten it for below a grand before with coupons and such, so it could happen, but 899 with no fuss to everyone may be a bit too good to be true.
  24. The Target deals have been sweet, but I wonder if multiple stores will rotate the 300 dollar rebate amount compusa shows for black friday have had like they have done in the past with a 100 dollar rebate. You won't do much better than the target price, but 300 dollars off the price at most any onlline store after rebate is something to consider if it happens.
