  1. JC Penney has a ton of well made clothes for men, sears not quite as much, though they do have some decent suits. I find a lot more crappy clothes at macys than jc penney.
  2. There is also a similiar coupon now floating around without a code to use online, and it says it only works on regularly priced items....this one should work on sale items as well.
  3. That Zenith plasma edtv is a great tv in my opinion if you can find it, has more features than some of the panny edtvs it was competing with, with an extremely good picture. One of the top edtvs on the market, discontinued or not. A great option for someone who wants to play dvds and won't have many HD channels for a while (like those of us waiting for free directv hd tivo upgrades), though HD looks pretty darn good on the zenith and panny edtvs too. There is no comparison between the pictures of these better edtvs and the 999 ones I am afraid to say, or with the number and type of inputs in most cases.
  4. if we ever learn what they are. Many people are getting circuit city catalogs in the mail with coupon codes on the back that can be used online and in stores, most purchases 199 and up you get 10 percent off, many audio products 149 and up you can get 15 percent off. The list of exclusions is not that long (cant use it on clearance items though) and I tried the coupon online with many tvs and it worked fine. The best part is the offer is good until December 4th so that means any black friday deals will get sweeter with these coupons. Best Buy on the other hand has convienantly designed their coupons not to work on BF. It might not be too late to get them to send you this catalog if you don't get it.
  5. LOL, the past several years best buy, circuit city, etc. have had many of the sale items online even before the doors opened at stores. There isn't an entire system here to alert for online BF deals just for regularly priced items. Early bird though, probably not.
  6. There aren't really that many good early bird sales at BB though (just the first page of the ad), unlike sears. Most of the best deals, especially for tvs are not going to be early bird, so maybe they will be online.
  7. HDMI is the latest standard for how to connect high definition sources, like dvds players, receievers etc with the highest quality. There are already devices like dvd players that have hdmi outputs and many more should be appearing over the next several years.
  8. I wouldn't know, I guess I've been lucky but all my tvs have been in good shape picture wise when they arrived. You can do basic picture adjustments in the main menus but they are also hidden service menus that you can often access fur further fine tuning, and the avs people can help you with this. But really the need for this adjusting is overblown, keep in mind the people at avs are very fussy when it comes to what type of picture they want. I actually have found more adjusting needs to be done on lcd panels to adjust for the problems that these displays have with black levels and such.
  9. It depends on your definition of bargain basement. That toshiba model is missing some features that the somewhat more expensive toshiba sets have, tuners, card slots etc. However, it provides a picture as good as any non dlp toshiba projector (unlike the lcd market where the cheaper brands have noticeably inferior pictures), has plenty of inputs, hdmi which will serve you well in the future. It's as capable as any tv of meeting your HD needs well into the future. Don't worry about the 540p, it has enough compatible modes.

    Fry's BF ads are out

Crap, these aren't for black friday, sorry, they are weekend specials. They better do much better than this black friday.

    Fry's BF ads are out

By the way, these ads differ by region somewhat, that's the northwest ad.
  12. I only really looked at the tv ads, nothing exciting. A low end lcd tv 32 inches for 1199....ho hum: linky
  13. Just read on another forum that that lcd will be 899, probably with rebates, wish I had more details.
  14. They do have quite a few locations, but they are scattered very far from one another across the country. I heard a rumor they will have the syntax 37 inch lcd for 999 on black friday.
  15. Toshiba is a solid brand except for their latest tube tv widescreen lcds which aren't made by Toshiba at all but by Orion and have major issues. Not the case with the dlp or projections though.
  16. Just two pages scanned so far, no there aren't mine: http://www.fatonion.net/CC1.jpg http://www.fatonion.net/CC2.jpg Although that's not all the pages, doesn't it look really small compared to best buy, circuit city etc?
  17. I heard they will have a 37 inch syntax lcd tv for 999, probably involving rebates, but I don't know. InCOMPetentUSA will have a 32 inch syntax for 999 after rebates, they are so lame.
  18. HDTV does make a significant difference usually, but honestly I don't think it would on a 15 inch monitor.

    Guns?

Well it may not ban all guns but according to the law "The gun ban prohibits the manufacture and sale of all firearms and ammunition in the city"
  20. Well you can't order any of the BF stuff in the staples ad online this year.
  21. Staples will not have any of their items in the BF ad available at those prices online on or before black friday like last year....they will have some online only specials. As reported, sears will not have any of the early bird/most popular BF items up for sale on their website either. Was hoping to snag some of the hot ticket items online before people even lined up, but not looking so good this year.
  22. oh well gonna have to hit the lottery to line up outside sears and get the toshiba big screen
