  1. Not sure where you are shopping from, but our Rooms to Go always has enough of a sale for me to wish I was willing to share BF dollars away from electronics to get a new couch or whatever I've been looking at furniture wise.
  2. how do you get to the chat room? okay found it. There were old webcasts on the side there but I accidentaly moved away and when I came back the chat was there :)
  3. I Would love a nylon flag to put on our encampment. Also like the travel mugs and notebooks ideas.
  4. Funny story. My brother named it "Turkey Milk" when he was little because it only came out during turkey time- Thanksgiving through Christmas. So I can't see it without translating Eggnog to Turkey Milk. I have only tasted a couple that I have liked and I think they were both homemade. And possibly included alcohol. I hated it as a kid. I'm the only one in the family who doesn't drink it.
  5. It says on many of the pages that most items will be available for furchase online starting Thurs at 10 am. And how did we get the shout out on the last page of the scan? Very cool. Love those barstools! Esp for that price. Like that I can get BB and Target out of the way before heading over there. Maybe this midnight thing will play after all.
  6. TV and Kindle Fire I'm getting for myself with DH's blessing :) I want a RC helicopter. I wanted a Kurig but I don't really drink enough coffee to justify the $$$ and the counter space. And I'm grateful I'll be able to spend Christmas at home instead of in the city I'm currently working. Didn't expect that. Wasn't even hoping for it.
  7. 8. We bought the 32" Westy for my DD 2 yrs ago at target on BF. Still going strong after 4 moves. Going to get the BB one tonight if they have it in the store. (reward points)
  9. The anticipation, planning and excitement. And the last few moments before the door at BB opens.
  10. I was out of town till now Do you have any shirts left to sell?
  11. 1. Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain...dangit-always on Thanksgiving night! 2. guy in yellow to far left, "Dude they are so going to take you out" 3. The registers are broke again? I'm never getting to my stores. #3 actually happened to us, we were trapped by the need to purchase our 199 computers for 3 hours. Missed every other big sale out there. Even WM was cleaned out by the time we escaped.
  12. Biloxi and Gulfport Mississippi. Overnight at BB!!
  13. I like to buy BB gift cards early. I am part of the rewards program and a lot of time the points don't hit from BF till after the cutoff. And since a large majority of the money I spend there is on BF I started using cards when they started counting them. Plus it is great when you have your kids buying stuff for you, not passing around a lot of green money.
  14. Some of the Monster High dolls are also online for that price.
  15. Got the email yesterday. We do get access to some on Monday starting at noon. Don't know what and how good the deals are going to be. Hope they are great because for the first time in 4 years minus the one I was late by two hours in 2007, I won't be 1st in line. In fact, I can't be in line at all. So online is the only game in town for me this year.
  16. Wasn't going to camp out at BB this year, but tradition called and when they came out with the $197 HP we decided to continue the trend. Went to the new one in our area because it's in a new shopping center with a new target and we wanted the tv too. Were happy to be 1st in line on Thursday. Soon we were joined by a few of our die hard friends from the other Best buy. So nice to see your once a year friends:yup: Also, when I had introduced myself to the Manager on Monday as the probable 1st person in his line, he had mentioned he would only be letting so many people in at a time for approximately 10 minutes. All I could think was that Myself and my three girls could aquire all the doorbusters we had come for and be checked out with our HP tickets before the next group was even let in. It was like a choir of angels were singing in the background. Went downhill from there. Got bad news over the phone so ended up having a very emotional couple of hours as we dealt with the info. Temps dropped to just above freezing (which isn't what we are used to here-so you northeners don't sneer at us too much, okay?) The 10 minute promise kept us going when we felt like folding. We just really weren't in it anymore. So we finally get there. We start feeling it again. They let us in. We get our stuff. We get in line. And the registers are down. We are in that line for 3 hours. Can't leave because of the tickets. At this point we have waited all night for those dang tickets. NOT giving them up now. So kids lay down in line and nap while I convince BB to let me out and back in because I have to run over to Target because I have DH's card and he can't check out till I give it to him so he is being held hostage by BB too and people are seriously bugging him about where did he find the 32" tv (umm-he was 8th in line?) So once we are finally able to check out of BB DH and I only went to OM to get the Norton. Then home. Sucky BF and after all the planning. Seriously will probly not do sleepover next year. Will do the early rise and breakfast shop with my girls. Oh, and ran to Wallmart after midnight for potty break and to score some all day friday deals, they weren't breaking them out till 5am. Oh well. BB got HP $197 $35 Dragonage $50 Motorola Bluetooth $15 wii games $10 wii games 2 $7 cd's Blurays DVD's Target got Westy 32" $250 Wizard of Oz Blu ray Hoody Down Comforter OMax got Nortons 360 $20
  17. Personalities aside, this thread is about the computers up for grabs on BF so maybe we should get back on topic before.... A lot of people are here to find out what we know about how the specs pan out so they can buy the best machine they can afford. We and they are down to the wire here. In Summary-- 1. most people have a preferred brand. All Brands have the potional to throw a lemon. 2. looks may matter to you. If at all possible go to a store and look at the computers. Is there something that you notice is different from one that you like/dislike? size, bulkiness, keystrokes, touchpad placement...etc? 3. What can you afford to pay? Then get the best computer you like you can afford. Happiness and joy to all, see ya at BB
  18. in response to bschmiess's personal opinion based on his unfortunate personal experience. I am with Klownicle 100%. My favorite laptops. The only brand I will buy for my family and practically the only brand I will buy for friends. So add at least 30 more people to the satisfied customer list because that's about how many have gone through me in the last 5 years and they are all still running fine. From the $279 Doorbusters to My 14" Doorbuster from last year. By the way....Anyone heard from StationChief?
  19. To reiterate-- a lot of personal choice. I bought the hp and sony that year. hp working great, been bounced more times than my cell phone, sturdy as a timex. I have bought two more hp laptops since, one for me as an upgrade and one for a daughter. The sony is working fine, my daughter is still using it but it sometimes she can't use the wireless when it gets heated up. We have even gotten a fan but doesn't help. So I won't be buying another one. Just my personal experiences.
  20. I just read on the OM thread that someone asked and finally got a reply that they would NOT price match, refund, etc on BF. Sorry Charlie
  21. DMO- A lot of times if it is not a door buster you can order it online and chose store pickup. *But don't count on it solely please.* Maybe get in line, then try at midnight to see if it works. If it does and there isn't anything else you want you can go back to bed or off to another store. Then you just go back after the massive check out of the morning and pick it up.
  22. Luckily I had just saved the BB adscan before it went down. Otherwise I may have needed medication and a padded room. This is crazy this is crazy this is so dang cool and I can't stop myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!
