They did not tell us this but they refused to give us the gift card. I have e-mailed customer service. First the girl at the register told my mom that you have to go online to get the giftcard. The next day mom goes back and they told here this stuff about the gift card and took five dollars of the total purchase. I emailed them and told them that this was not in the ad or posted in the store and I wanted the gift card with no stipulations. Maybe yes maybe no but it can't hurt to try.

We have six kids ages 23,22,20,19,16(almost 17) and 4. I am doing more for the 19,16,and 4 year old than I am the others. The 20 year old is married and I am spending the same on DIL as I am him DS 23 lives with his girfriend so I am spending less on her but I think she will be happy with her gifts. my mom has cut back some too and so has my MIL. You have to remember cutting back is relative though I can remember years it took us a week to put everything away!

Why not mix the two, do a nice coffee pot for the break room, and then fix a mug with coffees, teas, hot chocolates whatever and a short note of appreciation.

I would go by the type of games he likes, My DS wanted a PSP because of all the sports games and he liked them with the PSP graphics better.

If it is bothering you personally then I would do things differently. I don't have step children but I think the question I would ask myself is "If my children were the step children what I want someone to do for them?" and then act accordingly.

check your Sears they might though the word is they are changing their policies too. Last year my Sears was great about it. I plan to ask in the electronics section this weekend.

I have found two now for family members, I still need one more, the BB near us told me they are getting a truck Friday and are expecting some in. Call some local stores, BB, CC or GameStop and ask if they are expecting some (or have some) and ask when the truck will be there.

Last year I had to cut back because we had little income but this year I planned more ahead so I am probably doing what I did in previous years but there are less gifts for the olders one.

I don't think we do but if I remember right the entire store was 50% off last year, of course I have been dreaming about shopping lately so you may want to verify that information and they may not do it this year either.

My kids thought I was mean the year I secretly gave everyone a color, and instead of using names on the packages I used their color. Only I knew which presents belonged to each one. I was tired of them shaking packages and knowing what they had, This worked great. That was a few years back but every Christmas since they talk about it.

I would look at little tyke toys if you are concerned about safty. They have some cute toys so maybe Santa won't be in trouble. I ordered my four year old a MyTwinn doll and got some doll furniture for the babies she already has. Puzzles. 2 books, 2 games and some clothes and she is done (except I like the doll at Sears) Petshop stuff from one set of grandparents and I do not know the rest yet.

I have been picking up stuff at Target from the dollar spot when it goes to 75% off. I have all sorts of stuff from there probably too much to be honest. I will add favorite treats and 1 or 2 nicer items. I have 9 to do this year so I am glad that they are pretty much done.
