thanks just got one for my daughter for Christmas....had to take the x-box she is getting for Christmas out of the package to plug it in so I could get the console number! It was easy to get it back in the packaging though! I'm not so worried about refurbished....probably better than NEW! I hope everyone who is buying the x-box this year gets the extended warranty! We have an x-box in the living room it is #3 the first one lasted a year and a week....no extended warranty though! so had to buy #2 but bought the basic model with no hard drive and got the warranty....just traded that one in at best buy for a new one as it died...even with the fan on the side! So please please please get the extended warranty! I know that best buy has the better warranty but toys r us is pretty good too! I had to send our ps3 back and it took a week to get it back! which I didn't think was bad!

I have a 14 yo, soon to be 10yo and a 5 yo....My 14yo knows the deal but helps me by putting out the gifts and even shopping some for the stocking stuffers! She also knows if you don't believe in Santa he doesn't bring anything for you! I have always taken my kids shopping for a few things and make them take the gifts to toys for tots. They know that some kids parents don't have the $$ to buy their children gifts...even on years we have been strapped we have donated something. I always make a point of telling them how happy the little boy/girl is going to be that gets 'our' gifts and say now we know how Santa feels by 'giving' to everyone. Please keep in mind: There is a little Santa in all of us! We also bake and take goodies to some older people in the neighborhood who don't have many visitors and that is year round! Older people without family are happy to have a little time with you (and seeing the magic of Christmas in the kids eyes this time of year)!

My DD's bday is dec 14 thank goodness for a scheduled c-sect or she most likely would have been born Christmas day! Poor kid never has had a real bday party NO ONE can come because it is so close to Christmas! This year we have renting out the mini golf place...it is the big 1-0 for her! Double digits and if no one comes then we will still have fun! I feel she has been jilted and have thought about doing 1/2 birthdays and having a party in June for her instead! BUT I haven't done that yet, although if the indoor mini golf doesn't go over well next month I might try a pool party in June for her!
