Angel that lights up, but dh's and my first christmas there were no ornaments to be found in our price range in Honolulu so we used car parts to top the tree.

On sat at the Watertown, Ny walmart I got two packs of Lysol Bathroom Cleaner spray for 1.98, Off bug spray 2 pack for 1.78, the ESPN batter practice toy for 9.98 regularly 39.98 and a rocket kit (internet return) for 2.11

No way to expensive at the mall.

I believe the BX/PX has 90 day layaway. Ours is not having layaway this year due to reconstruction. With Walmart not doing it I am using Kmart, a little more expensive but layaway is a lifesaver with three kids and tons of siblings.

Watch movies on the tv, watch the kids play with toys and eat usually meat, cheese and cracker veggie trays

Usually Walmart but I am thinking of hitting up the PX this year, they have great door prizes. Honestly until the ads start rolling in I am not sure. This is the first year we have target here in Watertown so maybe there. Too many choices what will I do

Usually fake, but this year dh wants a real tree so, that is what we are getting. I do not look forward to the mess at all

All the gifts are from Santa unless sent by family or friends. That is the tradition both dh and I grew up with.

I go overboard for my kids, last year we had to stop the unwrapping to clean up, so that we could find the rest of the gifts.

My kids get to open two gifts on christmas eve pj's and a one small gift. Then it is mayhem Christmas morning. We live too far from family so they send us boxes of gifts, the UPS guy hates me in December.

List and idea. The best gifts have been those impulse buys I just happen to find. But I make a list for the big ticket items. I already have DD's kitchen bought put together and in the closet, too good of a deal to pass up.

Day after Christmas, by then the kids, cats, ferrets and dog have pretty much destroyed the nicely decorated tree. And I want the space back.

Mine believe at ages 8, 3 and 2 I hope to have a few more years.

Lights will go up in Oct, before too much snow falls. Indoor decorations the sunday after Thanksgiving.

I hope that the deals are better this year. Last year I did not find much that made me want to get out and stand in the wonderful North Country cold.

There is a great book called big weddings on a small budget, it is a bible for saving money on weddings also check local thrift stores, we have one that receives last years gowns/styles and sell them for next to nothing. I bought my wedding dress for 50dollars there and found the same one at David's for 800.
