we were 3 rd in line last year (after the zune too) and we got there at 11pm Thursday night. The line started getting long at about 3 am.

i love real trees and got one for years. But a few years ago I broke down and got a fake one. But I would love to have another real one, I love the smell. They are just so expensive here and not that nice looking.

it is slow for me too and has been for awhile now. and it is like that from my computer and at my mil's so it must be something with the toys r us site. i got: HSM Sing IT Wii 19.99 and XBox 360 Smackdown Raw 2008 50% off 14.99 for $42.08 shipped so I am happy even with the slow website. :)

i am going to skip the warrenties and take my chances. But only because I can barely afford the set for the sale price much less adding another $400-$600 to the price. Hopefully this does not come back to bite me in butt in the long run.

i love my local toys r us because of their customer service. every time i shop there they are awesome to me. I brought 2 HSM bikes on Thursday. They were in the sale ad on Sunday. They price adjusted them for me and gave me the HSM cheerleader dresses for free as adverstised.

idk about which is better, i have the nano and love it. last black friday I got my teenagers the zune that toys r us had for $80 and they love it.

one other thing...the extended warrenties. i looked on sears online and they are quite a bit. wondering if they are really worth it. and sears has 2 different pedestals, $99 each for 12 in and $199 each for 15 in.

i am really excited about the washer and dryer, my washer broke a month ago and i kept putting off getting a new one. I guess this is why. but for this price i can handle the laundry mat for another month :)

glad to read i am not alone. i was trying to figure this out my self. my mom passed away suddenly and unexpectly in July at 48 years old. i am also trying to make christmas alittle extra special for my 7 year old because that is one thing that bothered her when her Granny passed away. my mom and step dad would come spend the night at our house on christmas eve so that my mom could be here in the morning when they kids woke up to open presents. and my 7 year old said christmas will not be the same without Granny here spending the night. broke my heart as hard as it is for me to lose my mom it is hard to see my child hurting too. i am trying to figure out something to do with her to honor her Granny around Christmas.

we take turns here too. i get pics of everyone that way and it is nice to see the reaction of the person opening their gift. we go from youngest to oldest. @ the inlaw's everyone is given their gifts and it is a free for all.

last year toys r us was our first BF stop. We were 3rd in line, got what we went for and where in and out in mins. In years prior we tried going later in the morning and it was jam packed in their and the line wrapped around the store. So if you have to have something there go early. I will say that the toys r us in lafayette,la has wonderful customer service for black friday and a day they had wii in the sunday ad...they were awesome to us waiting in line outside and helpful when we got inside.

this is not cheaper..it is actully $20 more but toys r us is having a package deal this week. you get the ds, acessory kit and a pick out of 2 petz games for $150.
