10 years for me! I started when my oldest DS was 2, and I went all by myself. This year I'm taking him with me!

My mom wants to give my DS some acne cream in his stocking this year. I think this could quite possibly be the worst gift to give a 12 year old. And yes, she was serious.

I wish the xbox deal was with the elite instead of the arcade. Still a good deal though.

I'm much more impressed with Meijer's ad compared to Toys R Us and Target.

I personally don't think it will be on sale for BF. However, you could buy now, save your receipt and return if it does go on sale at some time. Toys R Us just had a B1G1 on the doll house accessories in October, they usually do this again around Easter. I remember that is when I bought the remaining sets for my DD. Hope that helps a little.

A close friend of mine took her DS with us once, he was only 3 months old at the time. We didn't wait outside in the cold, she kept him in his car seat in his stroller. He was safe and warm, slept nearly the whole time we were out. She was nursing, so had to bring the little guy. As long as the parent uses common sense I see no problem with it. I plan/want to bring my 12 year old for the first time with me this year. I have been blessed to not HAVE to bring any of my kids with me before.

I just noticed that in the Big Book you get the van free with the house.

I bought the mega set for my DD last year, and she plays with it everyday! It doesn't come with a van, I don't think any sets do. You have to buy that separate.

For DS12: a PSP go, 3 PS3 games, a ps3 controller, headset, and wireless keypad. And probably some gift cards, and a cell phone. For DS6: Halo megabloks, Transformer RPM's, 3 PS2 games, books, didj game, costumes, Transformer's,and GI Joe figures. Not sure what else yet. For DD2: Melissa and Doug play food, Tag Jr., Kidizoom camera, tinkertoys,books, Scooby-Doo figures, and mystery van. More stuff for her doll house, a new doll not sure which one. And maybe a Barbie Jeep. For DH: gift card to Gander Mountain

I'm looking forward to Toys R Us, Target, Walmart, Kmart, and Macy's. I'm looking forward to seeing what Gymboree has I've never shopped at one for BF, I plan to do it online this year.

I agree Amazon was great last year! I can't wait for the toy sale to begin this year.

I've always gone with a friend or two. This year I'm taking my DS who is 12 with me. His idea, he has asked for the past 2 years to go with me, so I told him when he turned 12 he could come along. I think it will be fun having him with me.

1. Walmart had the best ad for me last year. 2. I would recommend checking out in the sporting good section of Walmart. My friend and I did that last year, no waiting in line for an hour to pay. 3. It would be nice if there were more coupons to use during early bird specials at the malls. Also, love it when a store opens a little earlier than advertised. Happened to me a couple of times!

I regret buying the Nerf Vulcan (or any other nerf products) that I price matched from Kmart at Walmart Thanksgiving day. A big piece of JUNK! Imo

I bought the Baby Alive from Amazon last year during their Christmas sale for really cheap, not much more than it was at Target for 75% off. So, if you can't find one now maybe during the Amazon sale this year.......
