  1. My parents stove died a few weeks ago so I’m hosting thanksgiving. I agreed on the condition that everyone share the work load as I’m not much of a cook. My husband and I are responsible for the turkey, stuffing, maple/bacon brussel sprouts and the ham (my dad and sister are allergic to turkey oddly enough). My mom is bringing apple pie and sweet potatoes. And my sister is bringing green beans and homemade rolls. There are only 6 of us total so we should be good with that.
  2. I’m thankful for my family (pets included), friends and improved health. As much as I love BF it does make one focus on things and it’s always a good reminder to think about what you are truly thankful for. Appreciate the thread for the reminder.
  3. I’ve noticed that a decent number of the smaller items are at BF sale prices available online already (some of the drill bit sets etc.). They are not available in store yet though. I’m debating doing an online order for in store pick up.
  4. I’m still waiting for CountryMax. I forgot they had a good sale on the dog food we use. Hoping they do it again this year so we can stock up.
  5. That’s the one we have! We like it for the most part. It sometimes gets stuck under the kitchen table cause of all the table and chair kegs confuse it. Small price to pay to cut back on my vacuuming (especially in spring when my dog is shedding).
  6. I was able to get the clothes I wanted this morning when I got up at 6am without any problems. I’m debating on doing a second order later this week. One item I already ordered was for in store pick up so I may go check out a pair of sneakers that caught my eye while I’m there. I have to be careful and make sure I still have something left to spend my Kohl’s cash on though [emoji6]
  7. If the offer still stands I’d be happy to take that off your hands. I’ll message you [emoji3]
  8. Im only after some clothing BF items so I’m hoping I’ll still be able to score those tomorrow morning. There’s just no way I can stay up until 1am (and that’s assuming all the prices change simultaneously which they never do [emoji849]). Good luck everyone, may the odds be ever in your favor!
  9. I think the challenge for my shopping this year is that I’m not knowledgeable about some of my recipients interests. It’s been an educational experience while trying to shop and make informed decisions for gift buying.
  10. My dad got a $10 off $10 purchase coupon but I didn’t which I find odd as I’m a member as I’m a rewards member and he is not. His arrived Monday 11/12 and I have still received nothing.
  11. They only let you get one $5 cash pickup bonus per day. I have done my purchases on my phone app and have always gotten the pickup bonus through it (so long as I’m logged into my account).
  12. I ended up getting some really good deals on clothing (I’ve lost weight but not enough to get back into my old clothes yet so I need a few things to get by). Between the sales and coupon most items were somewhere around 70% off. Plus I got $10 Kohl’s cash and then $5 more for picking up one of the items in store. I even know what I’m going to spend the Kohl’s cash on and that will be a store pick up too so I will get even more Kohl’s cash for that [emoji106]
  13. Wow, two big ones (for me) in one night. I can go to sleep happy tonight [emoji7]
  14. You are definitely not the only one. It definitely makes you have to put in more effort and research to make sure you are getting the best deal possible.
  15. It’s here it’s here it’s finally here! Thank you Danascraps!
  16. Because they had 50% off over Veterans Day weekend my two local stores were pretty picked over in the more average/common sizes. You might have better luck online.
  17. I just got one of their 40% off mystery codes good for today only. Now I have to do some math to figure out if I should buys things now or wait until BF.
  18. You took the words right out of my mouth. I REALLY want that ad to drop already.
  19. I like the $0.50 poinsettias and there were some tools and bit sets under $15 that may have to come home with me. I’m interested to see what HD comes out with to compete.
  20. I’m in the same boat as a lot of you. I just don’t need much this year so it’s not that I’m disappointed in the ads, I just don’t have much to shop for.
  21. My husband and I only stuff stockings for one another anymore. We agreed it was our favorite part of Christmas morning. It’s nice to skip the stress and expense of buying a ton of gifts in addition to the stocking.
  22. I’m really sorry to hear that your Black Friday tradition of being first at Best Buy isn’t going to happen this year. I hope you are able to still have a great time at Target, Walmart or Kohl’s though.
  23. So I’m doing the game for when my family is all together at Thanksgiving (Christmas is with my husband’s family out of state this year). There will only be 6 of us. How many prizes should I have to wrap up?
  24. I just heard on the radio that Lowe’s is the new home of craftsman tools. My grandpa always loved giving me craftsman tools over the years so I’m glad that they will stick around at least.
  25. It’s funny that you say that, I was just having a good laugh with my husband about my idea of a hint versus his earlier in our relationship. I thought I was dropping super obvious hints in the past but man, apparently I needed to be WAY more. Now we just go with “I really like this a LOT” or “if I wasn’t supposed to be shopping for others I’d get this.” Now he knows what that means but it sounds better than “buy me this.” He’s pretty good at coming up with gift ideas on his own but he likes to have 1 or 2 things he knows will go over well just in case.
