  1. The couple in front of me at BB was the worst. First, they were smokers and smoked in line. Next, the chick was drinking and threw up twice(away from the line). Then at 3 am, they just decided to make out and started going at it. WTF?
  2. .
  3. The system used in CCs to sign up internet activations took a huge crash. It just couldn't handle all of them. Anyone who was told they could only get the $24/month dial up plan was lied to.
  4. Sorry Jill, but if someone pays $1500 for an Xbox, its worth $1500 to them. Maybe not worth $1500 to you, but that is not the point. Also, I got my details together before Xbox launch went live, not one store allowed more than 1 xbox per customer.
  5. I agree
  6. They have to have 10 at the 379 price.
  7. Most doorbusters are 1 per person to discourage such things. If that is not the case, then I can understand where you are coming from.
  8. I can totally understand if someone bought as many as they could just to sell and others were left out. Buying 1 and selling it for profit is not taking advantage at all, its not. Again, if the doll wasn't worth $40 to someone, they wouldn't pay for it.
  9. What is wrong with it? I can't make money? Its simple supply and demand. If someone wanted a desktop for $150 they should have waited in line for one.
  10. If everyone knows they will pass out vouchers at midnight, you will have 10 times the amount of people waiting at that time. Then people would just get their vouchers and go home until 5am.
  11. I did, I waited at BestBuy for 5.5 hours and I thought of it as a job. If I make $500, I get $100 an hour, score for me.
  12. 10 If they only had 10, you could have demanded them to give it for $379. Otherwise that would be bait and switch.
  13. No offense, but something is worth whatever someone will pay for it. If someone buys a doll for $40...its worth $40. Plain and simple, supply and demand is a part of what makes America great. Choices are all anything comes down to.
  14. Im sorry to hear about your horrible experience. The real problem sounds like those retarded CC employees at that particular location just handed out vouchers to anyone.
  15. I just got back from BB too. I was 5-7 too far back in the line to get a $380 laptop. I got there are 11:30pm. I did get an emachines voucher. Going into the computer department as the store opened. The employees told us to wait in a line off to the side. You could see all the emachine boxes just stacked there. Soon customers just started grabbing the boxes. I had a voucher though, so I wasn't worried. Waited about 5 mins to get to the front of my line and the guy asks how I want to pay. I say best buy bucks and bust out my bag of 300 (wanted to use them on the laptop). The guy doesn't know what the hell to do, so he calls a manager over. Manager says you can only use $70 and walks off. I already know very well I can use $300 so I start to protest. Luckily the store manager is walking by and we snag him down. He repeats the $70 max but I insist I know the rules and that is just not the case. I finally make him let me use the bestbuy bucks for the emachine package. Meanwhile, 20-30 people are just standing around watching this as they need to be rung up. Me and the cashier count out $160 in bestbuy bucks and he takes them and throws them in the register and starts to finish the transaction. Well, big problems come. After multiple calls to several managers and about 15 minutes passing by. We finally find out the system won't let him enter the emachines package and the monopoly money discount at the same time. He has to discount it manually. He does this but can only bring it down to $18.35 for some reason. I say fine, and I pay that with my debit card. I mention though that now I have given them too many best buy bucks and I need a few back. He makes me wait until the next cash transaction so he can get them out which is understandable. A couple people come through with CC and finally someone pays in cash. Its so hectic in there, he just graps a stack of BB bucks and hands them to me and says "Here, have a nice day" I only needed $9 back and he handed me $31. :) I ended paying $150 for the package with tax and a CA $8 recycling fee included.

    My Gift To You

    haha, that is awsome.
  17. Oh, no. Who ever first mentioned (to lazy to look back ) that the GCs were part of test markets is probably right. Im just saying that OH is naturally a good test market becuase of the lawsuit. Also, this shouldn't be that surprising to everyone. For those of you who read the BB article a while ago where BB explains, in detail, about us "devil" customers and how they are going to gradually get away from catering towards us.
  18. ? Why would they be becuase of the OH lawsuit? They don't take a market that is extremely profitable and make it a test market. They know OH hates them already, its naturally a good test market.
  19. Im sure there is more than one test market
  20. Yea, the OH AG sued BestBuy. Even if you guys are a test market...its probably b/c of the lawsuit.
  21. Only thing I want...
  22. Emachines is also not available
  23. Laptop is not available
