From one of the GottaDeal emails I saw a tabletop easel on sale - it happened so quickly so idk what I did but somehow I got a $30 product for $11. Santa FTW. I think Target does an okay job still keeping the magic of BF alive. Like there are still things I look forward to getting on actual BF week/weekend versus the early sales.

Petsmart cutting the discounted brand name cat litter from their BF line up. FOR YEARS I bought a year supply on BF and now I have to buy it like a regular person. RUDE

One of my first years scouring over BF ads was, I’m gonna say, 2011?? Maybe 2010, can’t exactly remember. Anyway, I saw that there were going to be $5 kitchen appliances at Target and as a young, poor millennial I was like YES!!! so I waited in line at midnight for a 2:00 am open and bolted for the $5 appliances. I picked out a hand mixer - so proud of myself! And of course no one was making a beeline for the $5 appliances, but I was like, SCORE! Fast forward 13 years - and while a LOT has happened in those 13 years, I still have the hand mixer. I used it to bake cupcakes for my toddler’s 3rd birthday. My MIL uses it when she comes to visit to make delicious mashed potatoes. Who knew a $5 BF hand mixer would bring so many years of joy? a silly thing, really, but a core BF memory for the ages!

It’s February…and we still have not had ANY snow in SE VA this year. Usually we get at least a dusting by this point. If I were still a teacher I’d be even more upset than I am. LOL.

Hi all! Checking in for December! I kinda hope that next year there are some more traditional Black Friday sales, and less of the multiple weeks of sales. I researched the prices of a toy I wanted to buy for my 2.5 year old for what seems like weeks, got it at Macy’s for about $15 less than everyone else, and the next day it was like $22 less on Amazon. Can’t win!!

I like that I was able to get some things already but I also loved the thrill of going to stores on Thanksgiving evening and Black Friday! I feel like I have nothing to go for this year. Probably will go to the mall with my sisters-in-law to hit some clothing retailers and maybe Target but idk…doesn’t feel the same.

I was a teacher for 8 years, but left at the end of the 21-22 school year for a job at a major theme park. I am blessed to be full time and have a fantastic manager so I have Wednesday through Friday off! On our FT team we all worked together to get everyone the days off they needed, so I am not working Xmas day either; but I am working Christmas Eve. Which is fine because we are set up for our major Christmas event and it is BEAUTIFUL!

This is what frustrates me about the multiple sales. It was much easier knowing there was one sale and you didn’t have to keep track of these things on sale at this time, these things on sale at this other time, etc.
