I try and start wrapping right after BF...doesn't always happen that way, but I try...
-
I'm in again this year!!!!
-
I always love Christmas in July on Hallmark and I like that they do 2 weeks on regular Hallmark Channel and then another 2 weeks on movies and mystery channel... haven't started shopping yet, but soon!!!!
-
We had spiral ham with brown sugar, honey and crushed pineapple glaze, broccoli casserole, cabbage and lasagne and Hawaiian sweet rolls...still have to make my German chocolate cake, but with me running and visiting with extended family on Christmas eve and waking with a migraine on Christmas morning I got a late start with dinner and dessert was out of the question...
-
Momlori so happy you enjoyed your gifts...that scent is my new favorite as well... Thank you sunni0913 for my gifts...I opened a couple before Christmas just as a pick me up, but I was able to hold out til Christmas morning to open the rest...
-
This year, I am trying to keep my Christmas dinner simple...Lasagna, broccoli casserole, fried cabbage and maybe a spiral ham...don't want to spend half my day trying to cook a big meal...I usually do a breakfast as well, but not sure about this year...
-
I am trying to get my last few items bought so I can ship by the deadline...
-
I received my box today!!!! Trying to wait til Christmas, but I could really use a pick me up right now...
-
I must say, as I've gotten older I do not miss standing in the rain or freezing temps for hours waiting for the doors to open... although I am under a time crunch to eat and get to WalMart between 4-4:30, I still enjoy the earlier opening on TG...
-
Yeah, I ran into people who were casually grocery shopping at WalMart as well...maybe they don't have a clue; since it's TG they figured the store would be dead...and their cart didn't just have one or two items of food, they were grocery shopping; meats, produce, canned goods etc...
-
For the first time, probably ever, I do not feel like celebrating... so many things have been going on in my life this year where it's been one blow after another and the weight of it all has crushed my spirit...I keep trying and pushing myself everyday, but I didn't even want to make TG dinner this year even though I had already bought all of the stuff...now Christmas is approaching and I'm no where near the mood I am usually in...don't even feel like decorating the tree...
-
I was able to pick up a couple of items for my SS during BF...hope he/she likes it...I have a couple more items to get and then I am all set
-
I like how WalMart had the TVs out this year...there were still some left in the aisles about an hour ago...

Reusable tote bag would be nice... Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!
-
I try to think outside the box and sometimes it's hard, but at the end of the day it's really the thought that counts (so cliché lol)...someone who I've never met (and most likely will never meet) will receive a gift that I took the time to hand pick and send to them and vice versa...it brings me joy...
-
I am looking at your list and longing for some of the items...lol... but I know half of it will probably go to waste...
-
So I am pretty much a creature of habit and make the same things every year for the holidays because it's what I've grown up eating (and my kids won't let me change the menu). What will be on your Thanksgiving menu this year? My menu will consist of the following: Turkey - about 16-18 pounds Cornbread Dressing Sweet Potato Casserole Collard Greens (if I can find some decent fresh ones this year) Baked Mac and Cheese Potato Salad Canned Cranberry Sauce Cornbread Hawaiian Sweet Rolls Sweet Potato Pies Cheesecake Pies Carbonated Beverages And anything else I can think of...
-
I've highlighted some things on the list and started window shopping...
-
I wasn't looking for much this year, other than my Rubbermaid containers, video games and DVDs...I saw a few other things I will pick up as gifts, but they weren't on my list...
-
I purchase new ones, 2-3, every year... There are a few other things I want from this ad, as usual...the DVDs and games mainly...
-
Well, the ad is bigger than last year's... there are are few things that I want and since the store around the corner from my apartment is the only one left in the area it will probably be packed...haven't been to a packed Kmart in years...ugh...
-
Annnnd when I woke up a little after midnight, it was out
-
Wal Mart is definitely playing with my emotions so this ad better be well worth it!!!!
-
They are hoping a lot of people forget which is why they do it as a rebate...
