i was going to say...call and tell them we are gonna go ahead and purchase a new one...when is best to drop off this 3 year old one...and see if they dont offer to let you purchase the one they already charged you 300+ for lol

when we looked at all the VOIP we went with vonage as well for this reason...after the hassle with the cell phone i did NOT want a # that wasn't local...The whole I am saving money but costing everyone else more thing LOL With vonage it also *fixed* the cell issue as if you call my house i have it set to dual ring to cell so now they just call 1 (local)# and reach me regardless of being home or out Our school is set so only secretaries can call long distance so when either daughter or teacher would try from class it wouldn't work. Same with DH work...cant place long distance calls so he couldn't call me on my cell...Was a big ole pain in the patootie

so if your # isnt local wouldnt kids have trouble calling from school? We ran into this with one of our cell phones that is a prepaid and gave us a PA area code. It was long distance for all our local friends and family and the school and DH works had all kinds of issues as not everyone can call out and have it be a long distance #

we ran from verizon as well...We are vonage now. I know that a few new places have started and some people recently mentioned leaving vonage but I for one have had no issues and was a HUGE change to go to 31$ call and talk all i want a month from the 75$ a month just for the privilege of having a verizon wire come into my house

came right up for me ....i got in on the kohls deal but before that we had planned to buy the Pampered chef line....Do i need two sets of pans?? could go twice as long putting off dishes

i have vonage(never had to reboot) and i am super pleased with it Was just curious if there was an issue I was unaware of

anyone mind sharing why you dont like vonage? Is it just that the MagicKJack is now cheaper or have you had trouble with them

if your dd hasnt asked...dont buy...it will suck you in you will start planning YOUR day around hourly events and with out even knowing what happened you will end up with your own acct cause your kid wont let you decorate the way you want to JK Well sorta LOL Its a decent enough price. I can sometimes get them cheaper locally with a sale but basically any time you can avg aroun 10$ for a reg size WK you are doing pretty good.

i agree the card makes things go slow and then the whole thing that you cant do as many players and it isnt good for house rules

restaurant.com might help for eating out. Not sure if there are any nearby but i always check when we go on a vacation. Really helps on food costs

i know its an unpopular view but I hope that between escalating eBay fees and so many scammy sellers eBay is on its way out. I loved eBay it was fun it was cool when it was used for what it was originally for...to find that last piece of a set that your grandma had and the gravy boat that got broke by uncle Nestor 12yrs ago When people decided they were going to make eBay into their sole source of income and make a "business" out of it VS an online garage sale(which to me was what it was originally) it changed the face of eBay. and not for the better. I will occasionally still head to eBay for things. But its usually that weird item i cant get at the store. For anything else I use online retailers or b&m stores. And before everyone lights torches and heads for Michigan to string me up its merely my 2cents and I am not saying it was YOU that killed eBay cause if it had only been 2-3 people it wouldn't have mattered. Obviously eBay has enjoyed success after I feel it morphed into something different. I am just putting my opinion out there and mentioning that while lasting longer then I would have hoped eBay to me was only a matter of time before to many people wanted their "share" and fees and greed made ebay into what we have today
