Well, the holiday weekend is upon us and I'm getting absolutely no holiday at all. I was volun-told to work tomorrow and already work Sunday and Monday. Yay me. As a result I'll be missing the season opener of my beloved football team tomorrow and Coco Gauff's next singles match at the US Open.

Happy August! Is it fall yet?! Even though it hasn't been as hot as it normally is down here, I'm still over this heat and humidity.

"I cannot buy another Kohl's throw, I cannot buy another Kohl's throw, I cannot buy another Kohl's throw"...……..I've already started this on constant repeat in my head. I still have one left over from last year that I never gifted or opened.

I bought toilet cleaner, laundry detergent and diswasher pods. That was a big 2 days of shopping for me right there! LOL. Wish I had seen the vanilla! I would have gotten that too.

Prime Day #1.........bought toilet cleaner.

Lord, how did it get to be July already. Im aleady tired of the heat and humidity. The older I get ( and probably the fatter ) the less tolerable I have become. Ugh. Prime Day is coming and I have to work both days plus I'm flat broke. LOL.

Well my budget is shot to heck this year since I had to replace my 22 year old A/C unit in the house.

Ooooh, Sweet!! Too bad I had to replace my home A/C unit a few weeks ago. I'm going to have to be very frugal this year but still can't wait to see what these deals are.

First day of summer, first heat advisory of the year. Oh yay........

I'm landlocked too but just 10 miles to my west and 10 miles south of me there are many homes. Storm drains are flooded so the water is coming out of them in some places. More heavy rain expected this week with nowhere for the water to go.

Lord I can't believe it's June already! How did that happen?!? I need to start brainstorming gift ideas for Christmas this year and I also, once again, need to cut back! LOL Every day I wake up to more heartbreaking news from the historic flooding happening in my area. Fortunately I'm safe but so many are losing their homes, businesses and farmland.

Another chapstick addict here, especially the Candy Cane variety they put out during the holiday season. One in my pants pocket, one in my purse (in case I lose the one in the pocket), one in my lunch bag for work (in case I forget to put the designated pants pocket one in my pocket), one in my locker at work, one on my nightstand, one on my side table and one in my bathroom. You should see how many tubes I got in my stocking at Christmas. It was kind of ridiculous but I should have enough to last me through the year...…..maybe. LOL The Kleenex pouches are a great idea! My nose always runs when I'm outside.....always.

Now that is a travesty!! :) We had tornados here pop up out of nowhere a few hours ago. Some damage but nothing severe I think. Certainly not like the outbreak we had 5 years ago, almost to the day.

I've been collecting since the mid-70's. I've got ornaments coming out of my eyeballs and ears. LOL As it turns out I'm working on my wish list now to turn in while I'm out of town today. I no longer have a local Hallmark store which is so very sad to me. I didn't buy much beyond the ornaments but it always gave me another option for finding gifts in my town.

Another price hike and I'm out. I already don't take advantage of many of the Prime membership perks because they don't interest me so I'm really not getting my money's worth plus there are many times when I don't even get my packages in 2 days once shipped....... I'll be interested to see just how this works in my mostly rural part of the country

I don't think the pollen is ever going to end here...…..it's disgusting and I'm trying to stay inside out of it so I don't get sick. It's so hard because other than the pollen the weather has been absolutely gorgeous here. Blech...…...stupid pollen

Happy April! It’s snowing pollen down South and my car has taken on that lovely Grinch green shade. Ugh. It seemed like everything turned green overnight last week so I got the fever and Bought a few flowers to pot last week and have yet to pot them. LOl. I think we are safe from another late freeze like we had last week so flower bed here I come.

Happy March! The wacky weather continues down South, just like everywhere.....Warm enough Wednesday to do some outdoor work, cold yesterday and today, and we are expecting some of the coldest weather of the season next week.....smh. Mother Nature, get a grip! I can only hope that the lack of winter storms here means we won't have any deadly tornado outbreaks this season. Wishful thinking I'm sure And this month also means March Madness, one of my favorite things of the year. I rarely watch any regular season college basketball games but boy do I love Tournament games!

Two years in a row for not one flake of snow here where I am in AR...…not even an ice event. I can do without the ice but still.....

Oh no!!!! What a stinker!. I thought we had made it through the worst part of the season in terms of my work but not so much. It finally hit my area and now everyone that walks into the ER gets a flu test, many are positive. Hope you feel better soon!!

Happy Vaentine's Day I can't believe February is half over already! Spring has already sprung down here.....I already have weeds and today we had a high pollen alert. For the love of pete I'm not ready for that in February. Ugh.

Happy February!! Slow warmup here all the way to the 70’s by Monday. Mother Nature needs to get off the roller coaster she’s riding and give everyone a break!!
