'Kickoff to Christmas' and "25 Days Of Christmas" on Freeform
HanShotFirst replied to magickallight's topic in 2019
Me!!!! I love a good competition show and I might actually learn something about wrapping a decent package. -
I know! There is one here and I've never stepped foot in it. Maybe I will this year. LOL
-
LOL! That's great. My Dad, bless his soul, is terrible at it as well. I remember one year, neither my sister nor myself was around much before Christmas due to life, and when we arrived home for the holiday there was a Walmart sack under the tree...….compliments of my Dad, to my Mom. He was so proud of himself though for shopping for the gift himself.
-
Yay!! It's a lot of fun!!

I get you about all that. I used to try to match my wrapping with my tree theme because there's always snowmen paper but I'm absolutely terrible at the whole bow thing on the gifts and was never happy with how they looked. I think QVC is missing the boat on not grouping those bags in theme sets and not just a variety of patterns like now. I have lots of wrapping paper still, even after selling a handful of unopened rolls at a garage sale recently. I may go back to the wrapping next year. Who knows....
-
I don't typically have a large amoumt of gifts to wrap so I wait until after my tree is up. As for the wrapping, I'm taking it easy this year and ordered another set of the Kringle Express drawstring gift bags from QVC for all my gifts. I ordered my first set last year to try them and ended up loving the way they looked under the tree so......put gift in, maybe add some tissue depending on what the item is, cinch the sack closed, tie the strings into a bow and done. My back will be most appreciative of this easy effort, especially after I will have to highly medicate it after putting up and decorating the tree.

woot! Got my bags today. Will definitely be using these for shopping during the Black Friday madness.
-
Inside has been decorated for awhile now and today I finally put out my fall garden flag, front door hanging and door mat. That may be all I do outside this year. It’s still too hot and early to buy mums, I need new scarecrows and I don’t think I want to mess with pumpkins this year.

Nothing better than a small-town Walmart for Black Friday. I've been doing it for years and the only issue I've ever noticed was the towel tossing one year. People were hurling those things like nobody's business. We witnessed it from the checkout line. The cops finally had to step in and bring order to the towel display. LMBO! -

oh Yay! Thanks Brad! Congrats to all who won. Can't wait to get mine. -
I feel like a broken record by saying this but.........Where the heck did September go?!?! Mid-90's for highs today, again. I can't stand it anymore. I went up north for the weekend and was able to wear jeans, and a 3/4 sleeve shirt 2 days in a row and I thought to myself more than once that I should enjoy it because it might not happen again this winter. LOL. Mother Nature needs to get a darn grip about this heat. Anyway, happy October everyone. Time to hang my fall door wreath and garden flag outside.

I can attest to this!

Those Cookie Cutter ornaments are so darn cute. Do you have the Through The Year seasonals of them?

The Griddler Deluxe. $50-$60 may be pushing my luck a bit much for that one but I'm sure hoping, especially if I can get a 30% off along with a home/kitchen coupon to stack. Maybe during their Veteran's Day weekend sale they usually have. -

I’ve got my eye on a Cuisinart indoor grill at Kohl’s so hoping to get it for around $50-$60 during their Black Friday Week bonanza, if not before. -
Yay! I love this. Honestly though, how in the heck did it get to be this time of year already???....... Will start working on my info soon.
-
Interesting. I haven't tried it and I've never seen anyone there for a pickup and I'm at Target a lot.
-
I know how you feel....
-
On the plus side though, the big Walmart here has all the Christmas trees out on display! They also had some of the inflatables and such out so it won't be long until I can spend more money on stuff I don't need.......wrapping paper, decorations, etc.....
-
It makes me panicky...…...by now I usually have at least some idea of what to even look for for my peeps that I buy for. This year I got nothing and very little money to do anything with. ACK! By jove I'm ready to put my tree up though.

What's your Black Friday budget for this year?
HanShotFirst replied to magickallight's topic in 2019
These care packages are the best idea. I remember them from last year! -
Right there with you but not quite record-setting.....just highs in the mid 90's. I am so over it and there seems to be no relief in sight yet. I am so tired of my high electric bill and wearing the same blame clothes I've been wearing since March. LOL.
