Just depends on how you look at it and how involved you are with your child's education. Some parents I know do more for their kids education than their teachers do. And like Hannas_mom said, her daughter is reading at 3 because she taught her. Yes, I realize that an "offical" homeschool teacher has a much more responsibility but for those who are teaching their young ones or supplementing their child's education shouldn't be excluded.

If you ask me, anyone with a child at home is a homeschool parent.

One of my friends told me too that since places like Costco are closed for 2 days at Christmas (?) to go the day before Christmas because they mark their perishables (steaks, etc.) way down since they will go bad over the holidays. Not sure if this is accurate but it's worth looking into.

Hehe. My daughter is 2 1/2. As long as we hit the Elmo isle we're good. It just may take us a few minutes of "wondering around the store" to find him. :)

I live in Indianapolis near the West side (near Brownsburg) and have found that the Target on 38th street has really good clearance. If I'm going to find a deal, it will be there. The one in Avon usually doesn't though. :)

That happens to me a lot too. I'm lucky enough to have two Target stores near by. One has MUCH better clearance than the other. Keep trying.

My dd and I were at Khols yesterday and she found an Elmo Halloween costume that had been $24.99 for $7.49. She LOVES Elmo but I would't pay $25 for a costume. Glad we waited. She's been carrying it around the house and talking to it. BTW, she's two. We were also looking in the toy isle and saw these tubes of miniture Elmo, Bert, & Ernie dolls in them (I think they have these with little people in them too). They were 25% off but I noticed the new price sticker. They were marked UP from $4.99 to $7.99!!! With the sale price you would be payin $1.00 MORE than if you were to have bought them before they marked them up for the sale!!!! Be careful when shopping sales. GRRR......

This is my first post here. I've been lurking since last year's Black Friday and must say I LOVE THIS SITE!!! Anyway, yesterday I was at my local Toys R Us and they had up near the door an Imaginarium 7-in-1 wood furniture set (it can convert from a desk to a puppet show to storage, etc). They were originally sold for $149 but they had a blow out price of $24.90! I don't know if these are at every store but it is worth a look!

I agree. I've been to target a few times in the past week and have noticed you need to scan the items to see what the real price is. Many of them were lower than the marked price. :)

I was at Value City today and they have their toys an additional 50% off. The lady at the counter told me they are liquidating all of the toys and won't get any more until the summer stuff comes in. I got a lot of really great deals and went ahead and bought some things for next Christmas. Be warned, though, a lot of the shelves were already bare!

What kind of makeup are you looking for? First thing to know about makeup is there are different grades of makeup from the drugstore makeup to the high end makeup. The lower end makeup is going to have all kinds of chemicals, animal biproducts, etc. whereas the higher end makeup is going to be more natural ingredients and will actually treat you skin rather than just sitting ontop of it. I am a makeup artist for a company called Motives. I wear the makeup and really like it because of the all natural ingredients. Sometimes I will go astray and buy Bobby Brown too. She too has makeup that is more of a treatment for your skin. Just my 2 cents.

I'm not sure which one I like best yet, I'm still on the search myself for the perfect deodorant. I can say, though, I used degree and it didn't work so well for me. During every day use it was okay but in the summer or during working out it just didn't do it for me.

No, still haven't found one. I wish we had a Farm or Fleet here. Where are those?

My daughter loves to go to toys r us and play with the million dollar train tables. I would love to get her one for Christmas but don't want to spend the extra big bucks! I've looked on ebay and they are going for what I'd pay in the stores plus the extra shipping cost. It doesn't really matter to me if it is a name brand set or not. Does anyone know of any good deals on train tables??
