That sad to hear, I have wonderful memories taking my first daughter there on the weekend and just enjoying the day.

Just set a limit and don't go over it. Then pay off as soon as you get the bill or the "great price" won't be anymore!

I use cash, but carry 1 credit card just in case I see something that I just have to have and didn't set aside the cash or my sister calls and says she can't get something and I pick it up. This hasn't happened in awhile. When I get the bill I pay it off. I know by expereince to watch how you use cc, it can bite you in the butt.

Half priced books 10/10

My sister and I live in different states. If we can't be together we share lists and use cell phones to make sure we get everything. Sometimes the phone lines get tied up so we go ahead and purchase, it can always get taken back. I use mostly cash and the envelope system has worked for me in the past. I only use my cc if my sis can't find something and I pick it up for her. I also dress in layers and bring a group, if needed. Last year my daughter and her best friend were dropped off at walmart to stand in line for her laptop and they took turns shopping for the little things/rr breaks etc. My husband and I took Target for our TV since we had to be outside. We took turns sitting in the car and running to the rr. Got to say my husband can handle the cold more and I did sit in the car more but he did want a big tv. I also never run straight I go through the clothes section at our target b/c they gave us a map and I knew exactly where that TV was and was out the door in 15 min. We have also made it a party when the children were little my sister and I rented a hotel room in the city close to the stores (we live in the country). My oldest daughter stayed with my neice and had a good time swimming etc and we would shop, sleep then sit in the spa. That was a blast. I agree with everyone you must have a great attitude and know what the goal is.

We had sat outside all night in the bitter cold and when Target started to open the doors people tried to jump line but the staff blocked them at the door but then they came back a little further and tried again I thought the crowd was going to be in a huge fight my husband included

I've been saving money in a Christmas fund since last blackfriday. The kids are typing out their "wants" and comparison shopping; when the ads finally come out they'll compare their prices to the bf prices. Just having problems figuring out a gift for a 3 year old girl that has about everything

I love spending other people's money, but it is more stressful. My mom and inlaws tell me how much they want to spend on our 5 children and 1 grandchild, then I go out black friday and purchase everything; they watch the kids. My mom wraps everything when I get back and then she and my mother in law pays me. Lately I have been I have been taking the oldest girl and her friend to stand in line for the big stuff. I'm getting excieted!!!!

Maybe we can get the ad and get it up long enough to check it before they send the letter:D:D:D

come on come on. I went shopping today and there were sales but I didn't want to buy I don't have much will power thank God I have a Christmas account that I can't touch it yet

I hate it also. We used to give each other breaks and could shop. It worked out great. I'll just have to make the best of it.
