Wow 29 days to go, can't believe how fast this year has flown by and it has. Good ideas to get out and troll stores to see what they have and how stock is. I didn't think about that this early. I usually will go out the weekend before BF jut to check stock and see how stores are set up, because you know they are gonna move stuff and put it where you least expect it. Target has done thta in the past, they put stereos one year in clothing in the aisle and people were tossing em to each other and holding em until relatives could arrive even though they were supposed to buy only one. Then the manager made one lady give a stereo to the other because she had 3 in her cart, like WOW. Seems like in some of us the deal devils come out on BF, some people take it to the extreme. CC

I use my closet in my bedroom, it has alock on it, also i put a locking door knob on our office at home and then I put stuff in there; sometimes and yep you'll laugh at me, I lose gifts or forgot i bought them. i'm still looking for a toe ring I bought my kid 5 years ago. ha ha. A couple of years ago I used my office at work, my boss didn't mind and since their s only a few of us it didn't matter. Well I just put stuff where i can find room, but my kids are to old for santa they are just nosy.

I usually bake some breads, muffins a couple of days ahead work permitting, mood permitting, busy permitting, or hit your local bakery or panera and buy some breakfast because we go out to friends for xmas eve and it can be pretty late when we leave, then people visit in shifts on xmas day and then we do dinner as well.

they usually have good T-day specials on line, as far as going to WM on BF, never I say never gonna happen! People are rude shove, cut slap fist fight, knock you over, not worth it for me same thing happens at BB and K-bee toys; our KB is ridic, only allow 2 shoppers in store at a time cause its a small store, this is a joke! I know some peole who will go to the WM 24hr store and stay there all night until they open the specials, like hawks watching kittens, its crazy CC

One yea the good stuff was in a room and we had tickets to get it after being in line for hours and then someone stole something out of someone else's cart while waiting in line, well needless to say thta is the lowest of the low! They finally caught the person, locked down the store and what a BF it was, no one in or out for other bf sales elsewhere, I hate BB and avoid it even if deals were free not worth the hassle.

I got some deals on line last year through CC and walmart before BF; I say shop after you put the turkey in on-line and kmart is open. but if you want BB deals better get in line early and no turkey for anyone, that place is always mobbed. 2 years ago we went to get in line but there were tooo many peole in line and only 8 per store well its ridic.

Its not the end of the world, I couldn't go last year but I got some good on-line deals on thanksgiving last year and stayed up late for some more and had it all shipped to work so that way no one could catch it at home. I missed a few things but oh well; some people can't afford electronics as gifts every year. I look at it this way getting something is better than getting nothing and i'm ahead this year I already have a few people finished. the only thing I buy on BF are things I know thta are good deals and if I don't need them then I don't get them. I usually do pretty good with bargains and sales. The only reason I'll be in line on BF looking for electronics deals and if I can gte em on line isntead then I get to sleep in yahoo. Good luck. CC

I had thought of doing this myself but I think some people would be offended by it. When the PS3 first came out and we were in line on night before black friday and had been there all day some guys came up in a car and were trying to sell them out of the back of their cars for serious amounts of money; it was ridic. Then the cops came and busted them. Which can be trouble for sometimes and make of interesting shopping. But usually my hubbydrives by and brings me stuff or we have friends in line and we take turns; its usually pretty cool. Last year the guys were playing ps3 on their tv while waiting. yep someone went home brought a tv and games and a ps3. We even hold spots in line for bathroom breaks, yes we know but its courteous and the whole line is usually pretty cool, but cutting in line NONONO WAY! 2 years ago 2 ladies got arrested for cutting in line. Saving spots for a few minutes up to 1/2 hr okay but any longer oops you lose. CC

I'm sorry you guys, that stinks that customer svc blows this year. Trust me sears wasn't any better. I waited in line for 3 hours to get in and while we were there some guy came to the door in a van and threatened all of us that he would storm the door at 5:00 a.m. and not wait in line like everyone else, well who did he think he was, before that we were all standing there laughing and telling stories, it was fun until then, what a jerk. He never showed back up though, good for him cause I would of b**t him senseless. anyway the sales guy at the register was trying so hard to help me, so upstairs for cameras, then downstairs to get em, they weren't upstairs, then scanner says merchandise not found. what what, they found it. then the other guy refused to help me lift a 3 tom jack for my hubby for xmas, how rude. how is anyone supposed to lift it? I'm 5ft and don't weigh much so I needed help and to put it in my lifted truck. So I went to the manager and told him and then he chewed the other guy out. ha ha got him in trouble.

When we are in line @ CC, they have an outside plug, some guy last year brought a tv and dvd player, we all watched movies and then watched them play video games, it was cool. find an outlet outside and bring an ext cord. we have a blast in line, always meet good people and stick together to help each other out. last year some lady cut in line and got arrested, yeah for the police for keeping control.

I feel bad for you Tim. It is supposed to rain down here so if it does that will s****. Hoping it will rain on my bf parade of waiting. Every other year of course its cold and then warm, but hey its FL, heard you'll were supposed to get snowed on to. I'll send you some sun and warmth.

I have a good opinion on this, we own 2 magellans. they work awesome. We rented a garmin and a tom tom from the rental car places, the tom tom was good, the garmin however stinks, it told you to turn when you passed the turns, to maddening for us. the magellan tells you 2 miles ahead and then right before where to turn and it can find its way around even if you turn the wrong way it will recalc and get you going correctly. target seemed to have a good buy on it.

At our CC we get in line earlier than midnight. they do hand out tickets and that helps, but we ued to go to walmart and almost got run over and killed, that place is nuts so for the past 3 years since I got hurt i banned against walmart for bf specials, not worth dying over. Last year some lady tried to cut in line and got arrested, the crowd was good in helping each other out, we have a good time in line. Sleep is voerrated anyway when you can save big.

here's a thing we do; we bring one of our extra family members and have them stand in line while you run around and get stuff, cause lines can be very long and take sometimes an hour to get to the register, it helps when checking out. I usually put my kids in lines through town to get deals, its saves money since they are teenagers it helps or coordinate with other friends or family in town to help you out with your deals, we get together for breakfast and gte papers and pencils and discuss away, eat dinner early and off we go. Then one of the other family members brings by food and drinks, it helps if you live close to the stores and this way get the bargains. I love black friday, my family thinks i'm nuts but its saves you so much money. I'm def a Bargain shopper. Happy T-day everyone. CC

I bought a lock for the closet and we lock stuff in there, otherwise i just wrap it and put it under the tree, but my kids are older, still nosy but older. Then after we open the closet w/ bedroom doors shut to evaluate what we have (bad about remembering), then we wrap, usually send the kids to the movies or on dates. It works for us. But not really that much fun since my son only wants 1 thing this year kind of blows the fun part, but it is an expensive item. Had to throw him offf track last year, wrapped empty boxes and some w/ rocks in them since we bought him a used truck, he's 17, he had no clue, it was great surprise. CC

Hi, I will never go to walmart on BF ever again, a person could get killed there just to save a few bucks. Walmart should give out vouchers like other stores so you can get what you need and not get trampled to death, very dangerous. CC

I purchased 2 sets of their knife block sets last year that were on special and they already fell apart, very disappointed that this happened, especially from Sears. Guess that's why they were on sale. CC
