I hope so. They have become pretty popular now. I live in SE Pennsylvania not to far from Amish Country. There are a ton of places that sell them but the price is 3 times the cost of the one at Walmart. I'm sure it's a higher quality though. Thanks for the info. I have a Big Lots not to far from me. In fact that's where she got the idea that she wanted to replace the tv stand with the fireplace. The ones they had on display were more of the traditional style and sat a lot higher than the ones I'm looking for.

Well on the list this year I just added one of the electric fireplaces. I'm looking to use it to replace our current entertainment center. Our current stand is one with the flat screen mount on it and I like the nice clean look. I'm going to need one of the media fireplaces large enough to house a 50" t.v.. I haven't really researched these in the past as I wasn't in the market but I am unsure if there are deals on these during BF or not. I did browse a few of last years ads and saw Walmart had one in their sale for $249. Since the BF sales usually have items they don't normally carry I couldn't find what the normal price was to see if it was even a big discount. Hopefully someone on the boards has either purchased one or knows a good place to look for a deal. Also if you already own one are there any drawbacks, like having the electronics near the heat, or brands to stay away from.

I have to wait until closer to Christmas. I switch my hiding spots yearly because the girls like to snoop and end up losing presents. Last year when I was getting out the gifts to wrap I found 4 DS games from the previous year. On a good note I did just find 3 Itunes GC's I hid in the glove box of my car. They were supposed to be stocking stuffers last year.

I'm thinking the Rainbow Loom bracelet kits will be popular. They are already hard to find around here. They also have new interchangeable Skylander characters coming out which may also be a hit.

I have a question about kmart's layaway plan. There are a few items that are available now in stores. If i put them on layaway now and pick them up on BF will I get them at the BF price?

I went back and checked on the Chromebook and even though it said it was shipping same day it was back ordered in my account. Plus I just realized that she couldn't add iTunes to it which is kind of a big deal because I would like to get my iTunes library back. We were sharing and I'm tired of listening to Kids Bop!

I'm not sure if you have an older model or any other consoles but I am sure in the next few weeks Gamestop will have deals on trade ins. You can also go the Pre-Owned or Refurbished route. Right now Amazon is having a special with $50 off most consoles. Although I'm sure that will be beat with one of the BF deals offering either free online gameplay or free games.

Setting up solid teams to do as much damage to your list as possible. 3. Dodging punches, tazers, and line jumpers. 4. Protecting women and small children from crazed overly tired zombies. 5. Rendezvousing back at the Sport-Utility-Vehicle for partaking of the rations. 6. Returning home to cheering family after our long deployment with the rewards of our hard work. Yeah I take this Black Friday thing serious. I'm sure there are a few of you out there with war scars. I'd like to hear from all of you that bring out the face paint on BF and let us know your plan of attack!

Thanks. I just ordered one through Tiger Direct. I'll test it a little to see if it will work for her needs. I'm sure it should be fine as her biggest need for school is Word and Power Point and it looks like Google has their versions installed.

For what you get with this laptop I think $249 is a great price point for my DD10. I'm just wondering if anyone has any info or thoughts on if there will be any deals on these around BF. They are already selling out fast so I'm kind of nervous to hold out, but I'm wondering if they will offer some specials like lifetime cloud storage or specials on bundles. The accessories and apps I'm not to concerned about because I can get them at any time. They offer 100gb's of free cloud storage for 2 years with purchase but I'm not sure of the pricing afterwards. If they offered a lifetime plan with purchase that would be a big deal. Also is there anyone who already has one? What are your thoughts on it?

A crazy old man ran into my car with his f350! I had just finished shopping at Walmart and was cutting through the Home Depot parking lot to get to the GameStop that's in the same shopping center. Well the old guy thought I was going to pull into the one and only parking space near Home Depot when he saw my turn single so his natural reaction was to ram my car! He tried to speed around me to steal the space that i wasnt even turning in to, but managed to smash my whole passenger side. I'm in a dodge magnum and he's in a huge F350 with the chrome bumper guards and all, so all I saw was this big front end out my side window. His only reaction to the accident was "I didn't know I couldnt do that!"

I don't know if it's considered "different" anymore but we started having Bad Holiday Sweater Parties about 5 years ago. My great aunt would always decide to make us these awful knit sweaters that no one would actually wear. One year for the Christmas Party we had all the nieces and nephews wear the shirts and it was a lot of fun. Now every year we have prizes for the worst sweater. I think there was a movie that featured a bad sweater party and now I've heard of plenty of people throwing them.

Even though the 3ds is a year old it is still the most recent model so I wouldn't expect big discounts. Maybe $15-20 off, but historically what stores do is offer the system in a bundle with either games, accessories, or both.

Well for the second year in a row my DD7 has placed the task on Santa to find the ultra rare Unicorn. It's funny because she is so innocent and nonchalant about it. She said I knows Santa must have been busy last year and he'll bring it this year. LOL. Her other request was for a puppy to give to her best friend because their dog just passed away. So if anyone sees any great deals on Unicorns or Puppies let me know!

Elfster is pretty cool. I use it online and on the iPhone. Works well if you are setting up a gift exchange, but you can also use it to track everyone's wishlist.

I'm debating on getting my DD10 a netbook or a laptop this year. I figured I would go the netbook route at first but with her school work and all, a laptop might be a better option. She's already mastering Power Point for her school projects with my laptop. For DD7 I have to get an Ipod Touch so maybe I can actually get my Iphone back from her. I could also just upgrade my Wifes Kindle Fire to an HD and let DD7 officially have the Kindle since it's filled with all her games and books anyway. Decisions, Decisions. Oh and for myself, I'm in the market for a nice touch screen car radio like the Pioneer AppRadio. I just got a new truck for my business and the stock Hummer radio is so blah!

I didn't see this posted anywhere on the forum, but it seems TRU is getting into the Cloud based movie business like Netflix and Amazon. You can check their site HERE So do you think by them offering streaming movies that other competitors like Netflix, Amazon, VUDU, and Hulu will start dropping prices? Is it worth it to buy the low priced Blu-Ray players this Black Friday with all the Hi-Def Streaming options that are available now?

This year the girls picked Red, Black, and Silver decorations to go on the tree. I think it came out pretty good.

I didn't post a link because it was one of the lightning deals. It sold out as soon as it posted and I was number 488 on the wishlist. Somehow I managed to get one though. It's also the Mr. Coffee version of the Keurig. It's still available here for cheaper than Target, but Target has the GC bonus.

Just scored a Keurig for the wife and the last Wimpy Kid book in the series for DD on amazon for $65. I feel a little better since I didn't head out this year for deals.
