I do this every year if the deal is good enough. I also do it throughout the year, not only at clearance sales, but at garage sales and thrift shops. My designated "gift box" is the bottom of the wardrobe, no one has quite managed to figure out where I stash the stuff!!

Last year we took the camper to WM parking lot, DH tried to sleep as he had to work on BF. I was third in line, and we all held each others spots while everybody took turns going to the camper. Sometimes the outside door sticks if you don't turn the handle just right, and one guy couldn't get out after he used the potty. DH went and let him out when we saw the camper rocking from repeated attempts to open the stuck door!

MY SIL's b-day is the 24th, I always give her a Christmas present and a birthday present separate, although I do wrap the birthday present in Christmas paper, but she told me she doesn't mind. I wonder if she really does??........

Three different Walmart managers told us 3 different numbers. The first one said 36, the next one said 24, then I heard they gave thirty vouchers. Okay, at least my daughter and I both got ours. Got in line @ 1130 pm, was third in line. Had to sprint race all the way to electronics, got #6 and #7 vouchers. It was crazy at this WM, but they were super! It's in a small town about 3 hours away from any big box stores, but said they would price match any item the big box stores had on sale. Problem is, can't get the ads up here!!!

I called Walmart corporate office today, and they told me that local competition was indeed the reason the laptop at my store is 488, not 378. There is no competition here, so they know they can gouge this town's customers for the higher price. I don't remember any regional difference in last year's BF prices anywhere, am I wrong? Anyway, my mom lives in Central Texas between Temple and Waco. Temple and Waco, 378. Marlin, 22 miles from Waco, 488. My mom is going to wait in line at CC for me, since my price here would be higher at my local WM for the HP.

No wake up calls for me either this year, since BB is not in my shopping area, its Walmart for me for the laptop, and I'll be there at MN. I wish i had a target close by, but the nearest one is 2 hours away.

Last year around 3:30 am, was first at Kmart. This year, if Walmart is my first stop, I plan to be there by 2:00 am, the lines are very long and rambunctious at my Walmart on BF.

Yes, i was first in line at Kmart last year. What a neat feeling, most everybody else in town was at Walmart.

Well, I too, thought the Walmart ads were way better than last year, enough to prompt me to go there first, though I hate the madhouse it usually is.

Last year I hit Kmart first@4 am, it opened earlier than Walmart,and I didn't want anything at walmart anyway. Then it was Radio shack, JC penney, Sears, then Walgreens. I was home by 8 am. Later it was Alco, then Ace Hardware. I live in a small town, these are the major retailers in our town. Big Lots just opened, one of my daughters works there, and gets a 20% discount. Only thing, she can't get the sale items on the first day. So I will probably make that one of my stops. Unless Kmart really beats the deals at Walmart, I will go there first this year. I usually go alone, but DH is going to the other stores for me while I go to Walmart. I do have friends coming from out of town, so they can pick up stuff for me in one part of the store while I go to the other parts, I have a feeling it's going to be a lot of fun this year.
