  1. Curious if anyone else's scanners are out of service... one store here has been for over 2 weeks and the other for about a week-- very frustrating b/c I scan everything!!
  2. dollar spot was 50% off and went first thing this morning and neither store had any brown dot stuff left at all!?!? Not 1 single thing! Not sure if it went to 75% over the weekend (??) and ALL sold out or if they removed all of it? Really weird... Signs said 50% off price was good through 9/19. It seems at my store that whatever the dollar spot 50% off sign says is the "end" date really isn't and it usually goes 75% one to 3 days earlier than the "posted" date. Sounds like most stores went 75% on Saturday.
  3. Brown dot 75% off here this morning too. Got the books/workbooks/flash cards I've been wanting so I was happy. I was there yesterday afternoon and back again this morning and garden center had been virtually wiped out-- not sure if they just really sold that much in less than one full day or if they slavaged it. Lots of stuff 15% to 50% all over the place--mostly in aisles and not on endcaps-- bed linnens, small kitchen electrics, sleeping bags, dishes, purses/wallets/scarves, jewelery, frames, clocks, workout stuff, etc etc. Saw a couple of camping tents but they all disappeared overnight. Some pool/summer stuff *finally* went 75% here--- but they actually peeled the stickers off some of the stuff and they were back up at full price--- I scanned to make sure-- strange-- there was still the little clearance sticker residue and there were a few toys I was stalking so I am sure it was the exact same items. Did see some wrapping paper and tissue go straight to 50%-- mostly purples/pinks color group. Jealous on the trikes and wagon finds-- they all disappeared long ago here. Got some Flip video accesories for 50%-- ### Flip video power adapter 056040241 $12.48 so you can charge it in the wall and not just a computer ### Flip tripod 056040244 $7.14 a tiny little tripod so you can set it up and film w/o holding it
  4. Only a few things here were clearanced this weekend and not by much. BUT--- there was a $300 giant umbrella on the floor that we have been watching that was not marked down so we asked about it. It was not on clearance, but the manager told us they needed to get rid of all the floor models to make room for holiday stuff so he would give us $100 off the floor model. It had some damage from being the floor model so my husband asked if they could drop it any lower and he knocked another 50$ off. So, if you see something you want and it isn't marked down I'd try asking, especially if you wouldn't mind taking the floor model!
  5. Wow-- only school stuff marked down here is backpacks and lunch boxes and we are already back in school. I think they may have already slavaged a bunch of stuff here-- there is no way they sold the amount of stuff that disappeared in the 2 days between my visits. I'm waiting for the next dollar spot clearance-- several things I'd like in there.
  6. Nothing much to report from here, but there was lots of frozen clearance at 50%. I know food is a ymmv thing, but there was everything from vegtables, fruits, juice concentrate, deserts, entrees, etc.
  7. There were also green tricycles and pink tricycles for 30% off-- the ones already put together, not the ones in the box. My store had a bunch, so I expect they'll go down more.
  8. Saw lots of infant/toddler clothes marked straight to 50%-- unusual for here b/c they usually start at 30% and take forever to get to 50. Saw some microwaves at 15% and 30%. Most garden stuff still at 30% but some fertilizers/weed killers--that sort of thing at 50%. Some stuff in sporting goods and camping stuff at 15% and 30%. Lots of table settings plates etc in a variety of colors/patterns at 30%. Saw a fair amount of formula at 15%. My only good find was: ### 082-01-0119 Schwinn Bicycle Trailer 50% $80-- it converts into a stroller, so it was really neat. There were others with the Jeep brand that were a bit cheaper, but did not convert.
  9. Saw lots of Merona mens socks, underwear, hankies, v-neck undershirts, wallets at 75% off today. Also saw big boxes of target brand baby wipes for 15% off and those boxer short style pull ups clearanced for 7.??-- I don't have boys and don't remember the brand, just thougth they were cute. A lot of the kids clearance clothes must have been salvaged b/c there was a small fraction of what was there last week. Nothing else seemed to drop any further in clearance this week here.
  10. Target's receipts are so confusing. I've had a couple of times where I've gone back and manually added up my total minus coupons on my calculator and it equals the amount I was actually charged, but I cannot figure out on the receipt how they did it. I have also had problems with coupons being scanned but not coming off my ticket too which is SO frustrating b/c you basically just lost $$. Unless someone has some better advice I would try going to customer service and seeing if they can sort it out with you-- item by item if need be. At my store there is one very knowledgeable and friendly customer service person, so I always try to deal with any issues when I know he is working. You should be able to return things whether the coupons did or did not come off-- but you will get back whatever you paid, not necessarily full price. I try not to use too many coupons in one trip for all of these reasons. You probably already know to hand manufacturer coupons first and target coupons second-- that seems to help with some of the coupon problems.
  11. Amazon's site has a little video about it. I researched it when I saw it at 50%-- I ended up not getting it b/c we have so many other toys that do similar things. Here's the link, scroll down the page and the video is in the center. There are lots of reviews to give you good and bad perspectives too. I research a lot of items on Amazon b/c so many people do post reviews there. I returned a bubble machine and a remote control car from Target's toy clearance after I got home and found they had bad reviews. http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Fun-2-Learn-Computer-Cool-School/dp/B0015KVW56/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1280513579&sr=8-1
  12. Another question... is there any "pattern" to when Target puts returns back on the shelves? Would first thing in the mornings be the best time to search for returns to pop up? Thanks again!
  13. Had some great finds today, though I'm still jealous of some of the things listed on the board here that I did not see. Things I found not already listed (I think): ### 204000368 Prince of Persia Lego 4.98 ### 204040286 Leapfrog TAG purple 9,98 ### 204041521 Leapfrog TAG Junior purple 8.02 ### 087090045 Infantino matching puzzle 2.48 ### 204022401 64oz gazillion bubbles (these are the BEST bubbles) 2.48 ### 204070736 Lincoln logs big sky corral 8.24 ### 204071128 Tinkertoy 3.94 ### 204100272 ABC Zoo spinner 5.48 ### 204100417 bristle blocks 6.24 ### 086050027 circo fruit basket 1.24
  14. Large baby stuff was 50%-- they were moving it around but I didn't see anything higher than 50%. Lots of booster seats, some highchairs, pack-n-plays, and one stroller. Toys had been consolidated, but not marked down any further at Blue Angel or Cordova here. If anyone in my area has been to 9 mile or Pace please post b/c those are kind of out of my way, but I'll make the trip to peruse 75% toys. I didn't notice anything else marked down in other departments, but it did seem like they had done a lot of consolidating the clearance to endcaps or part of one aisle instead of spread out everywhere.
  15. In general, yes, you should be able to buy the limits on multiple trips.... although there are a few random Walgreens out there that limit it per customer per day---though the only way they can really "enforce" it is if they recognize you.
  16. A tip-- at my store not only toys marked clearance were ringing up an extra 50%-- toys marked "reduced" or "price drop" also rang up 50%. There were lots of "reduced" and "price drop" toys, so I don't think many people caught on. I got Fisher Price stack n surprise blocks sillytown for $18.50 http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Surprise-Blocks-Smiles-Sillytown/dp/B001S1DUVG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1279851198&sr=1-1 Tonka real rugged bulldozer $4 http://www.amazon.com/Tonka-91054-Real-Rugged-Bulldozer/dp/B000OKU03S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1279851460&sr=1-1 Tonak real rugged crane $4 http://www.amazon.com/Tonka-91072-Real-Rugged-Crane/dp/B001PBEN1A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1279851551&sr=1-1
  17. Hopefully I didn't go in too early, but all I saw in toys at 75% were some sesame street playsets and tickle me elmo hands. Some stuff that was 30% yesterday was 50% today. Bought my stashed TAG even though it didn't go down-- figure I can return it if I find one for lower later (don't know why I didn't think of that yesterday.) Also saw a whole half isle of plastic tableware-- cups, plates, bowls, etc at 30% that weren't there yesterday. Also forgot to mention yesterday they had a ton of Merona mens socks at 50%.
  18. Summer stuff went salvage here, found few things and scanned to see and they were INF
  19. Thanks for posting this find. I figured I'd check it out not expecting much but there was a TON on clearance--- there were SO many really cute infant/toddler summer shirts for under $2-- I got lots for next summer. There were even sweatshirts and "fall" like clothes. Lots of other stuff in all departments too.
  20. Toys did not move today here. I'll be back tomorrow to check again. Infant/toddler clothes that I have been stalking for weeks finally went down-- stuff that was 30 went to 50% and 50 went to 75% so got some stuff for next summer. Summer went to 90%-- were just a few odds and ends on an endcap but found a few summer 90% toys mixed in with the regular isle toys (thanks to whoever posted the blue tag tip!) found lots of 4 pack splash balls for .29, some squishy frogs for .29 and sidewalk chalk-- great stuff to put in kiddie gift bags. Some red/white/blue (4th of july??) paper products were 50%. Lots in the cleaning and toiletries depts marked 15% so I'll be watching to see if that goes lower. Shoes finally went down to 50% here. Big baby stuff (car seats, high chairs, pack-n-plays, etc) still at 15%, but most other clearance baby stuff was at 50%, and clearance clothes/shoes/socks in the baby section were mostly 75%-- got some cute little swim jellies shoes for $3. Certain "summer" colors of wrapping paper/tissue paper/ribbons were 30%-- hope they go lower. Waiting for toys to go to 75%-- I actually "stashed" something this time and felt really guilty-- but I think I'll get over it. Hopefully it stays hidden or there is one left when it hits 50% :)
  21. It is online on 7/23... the "mini" preview is on Target's website, but if anyone has a more complete preview please share!
  22. Returns question-- sorry I cannot find the answer in the archives. Does Target limit the number of returns you can make or something like that? In reading their policy I don't see anything about that, but I thought I remembered reading something to that effect here. TIA!
  23. I think what you are describing went to 50% at my store today.
