  1. We'll be in line by 3:30. I agree with a previous poster, half off toys, cheap luggage, and several other things are on the list. Add in the additional 15% from the MVC card, and 10 back for every 50 spent, and this is one of the better offers out there. Even my mother who had a mild heart attack last Friday wants to join us at Kohls Friday morning.
  2. Kmart is showing Saturday only items. Big Lots has a Saturday only portion to their sale. If you arrive early enough Saturday, you may find some deals leftover from Friday as merchandise was dumped somewhere else in the store, and the overnight crew has cleaned up from Friday and replentished stock.
  3. If you are not in line yet you have no chance of getting everything on the Best Buy list.
  4. Thanks Wal Mart. That's one less stop I have to make with 3.00 gas. Kohl's, Sears, and Target, here I come.
  5. KMart has been open at least 15 years on Thanksgiving at 7:00-I used to work the madness as a college student. It is KMart's 2nd busiest day of the year chainwide. It may be possible that stores are not open in certain areas due to blue laws.
  6. Who would have thought the best BF weekend ad is from a drug store?? I'll be there for opening at 7:00 Thursday morning for some serious money making.
  7. Split my orders in Lexington , KY today and received nothing either time.
  8. That's part of the reason why Meijer sees my money.
  9. I do not think this is as hot as the past few years. Kudos to Meijer for releasing the ad themselves to let the shoppers prepare. It's nice to have a retailer value us as a customer instead of the Wal mart way of thinking that we don't matter. I directly pass 3 WalMart stores to shop at Meijer weekly, even with 3.00 gas.
  10. Now that Meijer is posted I can officially say that the disappointment is high here. Some Spiderman figures, cheap Pepsi, and maybe a couple of items at Sears will be the extent of BF shopping here.
  11. We had several people shot by a drive by BB Gun shooter in the Best Buy parking lot last year here in Lexington, KY. The police cannot be everywhere at all times, keep that in mind. As for potty breaks, don't even think of it. To find merchandise, follow the crowd. If you are planning on overnighting, a friend is a must. If you are going an hour early, don't worry about it.
  12. Sears is the only impressive one to this point. The Macy's 10 off 25 could have some mileage too. Walgreen has been a stop in years past, there is nothing this year to buy though. We spent 75% of our BF money last year between Kohls and Meijer. Extra bucks were used at CVS. Until those 3 ads break, I am not going to call this year a bust yet.
  13. I would venture to guess that the items seen at the front of the store remain from the Black Friday ad last year that flopped.
  14. The only reason I want to see the Wal Mart ad is to price match things at Meijer. Wal Mart has done enough to alienate the American public that is shows in their retail performance month in and month out. They use the excuse that gas prices are pinching the consumer, yet Kohls, Target, Penneys, among others have no problem meeting Wall Street estimates. The list of former Wal Mart shoppers is growing by the thousands daily. First, the layaway issue ticks people off, then this notice is sent out. To survive in today's retail environment, you must do what your customers want you to do. There are too many other choices to do otherwise. KMart used to be big too, look at them now.
  15. I know Meijer was posted last year, but it is not on the list. What day did that ad come out? I think it was one of the later ones.
  16. Another vote for Ace--at least we were able to stock up on all of our home painting supplies for pennies after rebate, and we did not have to stand in line for hours to buy it either.
  17. Not much of an improvement over the current ad. 8/5 looks great though.
  18. Dollar spot half off at 4 Atlanta area locations-good selection too. Baseball and football items 75% off in 2 stores, full price in the other 2. Got cleats in size 3 and 4 for the next few seasons at 3.74-that price beats the goodwill. Bought several packs of boys boxers for 1/2 off, a few novelty tees at 30% off for back to school, and the July 4th clothing was 1/2 off-shirts and shorts for the kids for 2 bucks each. Clearance throughout the stores, some areas had more clearance the regular priced items. I usually do not shop Target but was impressed with the deals this week.
  19. Looks like Northern Macys are on a schedule 2-3 weeks behind the southern Macy's locations. Our outerwear went 75% several weeks ago, with the additional off too. Our local store has nothing left in terms of coats, and very little other clearance. We went to a Macy's in NE Ohio a few weeks ago-their sale was nothing like we had for the same time period in KY.
  20. Macy's has been the hot spot for clearance this year in KY too.
  21. The Giant Eagle stores in Canton, OH do not double at all anymore. They have lost my business-I can get everything cheaper elsewhere now.
  22. Was this the Perry, OH Lake County area or the Perry Township Stark County area? Marc's is local to the northeast half of Ohio.
  23. Hated shopping at Kaufmann's for reasons stated above. It seemed like a high end store with senior citizen clothing. Macys is far superior to Kaufmann's. Our son wears Green Dog almost exclusively, and at 75% off, we don't mind him liking it.
  24. Saw several shelves of Clearance at the Meijer in Lexington(Reynolds Rd) by the milk. Nothing was more than 30% off though, items were actually marked higher than the sale price. Beware of the new Wal Mart in Lexington. Meijer milk is 1.95, they want 3.00 for store brand and 4.03 for name brand. I concur that Meijer regular prices are comparable to Wal Mart on most items, but Wal Mart cannot touch a Meijer grocery ad.
