Well, it's one thing for the retailer to send you the wrong/extra products, and another for the delivery service to drop it off at the wrong address. One case is entirely the retailer's fault and the shipping snafu is caused by 3rd party and you'll want to make sure the person expecting that package gets what they should.

Just go to tvfool.com (specifically http://www.tvfool.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=13&Itemid=1)and enter your address information. It tells you which OTA stations you'd be able to get, the direction you'll receive them from (if they are all generally from one direction, things get easier) and how far away they are. From there, you can determine the type of antenna you need (unidirectional, bidirectional, etc.) and the range you'll need to generally get those stations. Len helped me out doing this last year around this time and I've lowered my "cable" bill from $128 down to $30 by getting rid of cable from the cable company. It was funny when they asked me which channels I usually watch and they said we can get you a basic package with these and bring your cost to $105. Lol. Thanks for the hefty price reduction there (after having cut my channel list by 60%). Really trying to keep me as a customer, huh?

She's busy and has 2 kids of her own, a job, volunteer coaching, and PTA with the school. Still...it's a little frustrating. I'll still make the best of it!
-
And....now also $15 in Y2U rewards to use, too.

DD wants a guitar pick. She is 6. She owns a low-end hello kitty basic guitar. She picks it up and plays it for 5 minutes every 2 weeks. No one else we know plays the guitar. ...I have no idea

Have $115 to spend from various $50 orders and courtesy $5 KC from cancelled in-store pickup orders. DW and I are taking the kids separately to pick out something for their sibling and other parent. Also now need a few other things that have since snuck on family's lists. Also have $50 in gift cards still, in case we exceed the allotted KC.

I think this was Kohls' first year doing such big doorbusters online. I wonder if this will deter them from next year. It happens at all the retailers; just usually WM & BestBuy have such an enormous stock, it's much less likely to happen on those sites. Kohls obviously isn't known for their electronics, but have delved into that realm recently in the past few years. It's really difficult to bank on that big DB actually getting to you until you've seen it shipped.

I had no idea there was even discussion happening on FB. That's crazy.
-
Lol. Apparently, so. I figured it would be close, though!

Thanks Brad; and everyone. Like I've said, it's lots of fun discussing things with everyone here. Well, I may not have the most entries. He just put the # of entries for the winners. Brad, Kanyon is asking to see the members with the top 10 most entries and how many entries they had. I'm curious, too!!

Official Black Friday VIDEO GAMES Discussion Thread

Well, I might as well lean on some of you with expertise here.. 1. Are XBox 360 games compatible with XBox One console (not XBox One S)? 2. I'm in search of a good hunting game (I didn't really get much more than that...so maybe just general hunting) that will be compatible with XBox One. Open to all suggestions! 2a. And experience with the ones that come with the gun/rifle? Are they good to have the gun? Do those require the Kinect (not sure if he has one of those)? -
Sister finally gets back to me with (for her kids): - NFL bedding - iTunes Cards - iPod 6 Case (is there seriously an iPod 6???? maybe it's 6th generation? way to send the biggest non-apple advocate to buy your son an iPod case) - XBox game - Ninja Turtles action figures *@^$&@#&*!*&!! There was sales/discounts on pretty much all of these items during BF week!! So, now I scour for deals for the next 3 weeks and potentially pay shipping to get it to her if I have to buy it (*gasp*) in-store (that almost gave me a heart attack to even type it).

Oh, the big hammer would fix that alright....
-
The one thing I can see would gain for you is the fact that when someone who hasn't done their homework/research just goes to a random thread (e.g. Target) and starts a thread called "Does WalMart price match on BF?", then you won't have to move it to the correct subforum and merge with the existing thread (that's been talking about WM PM for 2.5 weeks) and then have to answer questions from OP like "Does anyone know why my post keeps moving?"
-
Another thing... When I haven't been on for a day and there's 100 unread posts in 55 threads (across 10 subforums) that I can easily read through a few of the subforums at a time and get caught back up and when I don't want to read through each thread I can mark the rest of that subforum as "read", and it won't mark all 55 threads from the other subforums. Where, if they were all one, I'd lose that ability.

1000% agree. I do have Twitter and FB accounts, but don't post, follow, or like anything. I just use it for coupons and discounts and promotions. It's fun chatting/discussing with people on here things I actually care about vs. what color socks someone is wearing today, or whether they put the left or right one on first...
-
I personally like the separate forums, but that's probably mostly due to the fact that's what I'm used to and if it ain't broke don't fix it...? What stirred this thought up?

Thursday 17:00 - Finished Dinner out with the fam; contemplated heading to Shopko (cat litter and a few other random things), Target (Finding Dory), and Kohls (to use my $10 off $10, since already shopped $250 of stuff online), but instead went home and relaxed and maybe go later 20:00 - Kids were settled in bed and I didn't even really feel like going out anymore, so I decided to leave early on Friday and see what was left. Friday 4:25 - Alarm goes off and I head out 4:50 - Get to Shopko and they are out of cat litter, so I just leave (took them a few minutes to determine there was none left, so I assume it was a different crew from when the stores opened on Thu) 5:00 - Kohl's is right next door, so I go there next. Planned to get DW workout tank; got 2. Couldn't pass up the 4.99 toaster after rebate. By then, I was committed to getting another $30 sale price to get to $58, resulting in $50 after 15% discount. So, got another pillow, 50% off Dockers, and a candle. $15 KC back. Waited 30 seconds to check out. 5:25 - Left Kohl's heading to Menards (the line grows exponentially after 5:30); I was about 75 in line; easily 300+ by the time the store opened at 6:00. I got everything I wanted there with a few last minute decisions not to get a few things on the list. Checked out at 6:35 with minimal checkout lines. 6:40 - Went to PetSmart and couldn't believe how dead it was...and then realized they didn't open til 7:00 (doh!). 1 person was in line. I decided the next 20 minutes would be more useful seeing if by chance Finding Dory was left at Target 6:50 - Got one of the last 12 copies of Finding Dory on Blu-Ray; $5 after $5 off any purchase coupon in the mail. 6:55 - #25 in line, easily get a cart, 4 pails of cat litter; $35.96 & enough to get me $5 in Holiday Bonus Bucks. Checkout was simple as I was up to the checkout less than 5 minutes later. 7:15 - Minimal drive to Home Depot. Store had been open for over an hour. They had free coffee and donuts in the entry (didn't want to stop in case I could still get my deals). Got 4 poinsettias (2 for us, 2 for neighbor), 3 packs of batteries (60 for $9.97), and Spade bit set. Easy checkout. 7:45 - Farm & Fleet; Washer fluid & Extension Cord. Easy Checkout. 8:00 - Grocery store (needed a few things) 8:15 - Home, and cooked breakfast for the fam, who had been up for about 15-30 minutes. I was able to get absolutely everything I wanted and waited at a total of about 10 minutes at ALL THE STORES COMBINED. That was an incredibly uneventful BF and really got what I wanted hassle-free.

How have more people not liked this post?? I wish I could like it 3 times!

Same here. I think it's attributed to the lack of sleep, as well. Still totally worth it.

I do believe it. It was COLD. And with so much online, and the hardly existent crowds I experienced, I definitely believe it.
