So I just called my local Wal-Mart and asked what time they close tonight, what time they open tomorrow and what time the sale starts tomorrow. He responded 10pm, 7am and "what sale"? OMG! I told him the one on the website that says Saturday Nov. 7th at 8am so of course he responded "well there ya go...8am". I'm calling my MIL when she gets home from work, she works at Wa-Mart in the electronics dept.

Yes, within 15 days with a receipt.

That's because the sale doesn't start until tomorrow.

My JVC hardrive plugs right into that computer with a USB cord or right into the TV/VCR/DVD with an AV cord. Sooo easy to use! Had a mini-DVD before and HATED it! Another good thing about the hardrive is you don't have to worry about fulling up your little SD card! Though I do believe there is an SD slot in case you want to flash it instead of hardrive it. :)

No, most people are standing in line outside in the cold for 5-6 hours. At least they can be warm in the store. Plus they might be trying to prevent a death like last year. Personally I hope they do this, I think standing around for 6 hours would be a lot better in the warmth!

Just saw a commercial that Kmart is going to have Friday & Saturday "Better Than Black Friday Deals". I'll post a link to the deals when I find one. Starts this Friday. If I needed a laptop BEFORE BF would this HP for $300 be a good computer for a good price?

Thanks Len! I think I might try to get the one at Wal-Mart on Saturday. I know the one they have now for $348 is a duel core but I'm not fond of AMD. I have always had Intel and have been happy with them. If it was a Pentium with a duel core for $300 there would be no question I'd get that! The only question Hubby has is the battery life. It doesn't say on walmart.com. Worst case I can return within 15 days and at least I wouldn't have nothing when they finally tell us when he's going! :)

Basically what I will be using the laptop for is internet (social networking, basic games using Java, TV episodes), movies and maybe put Office on it. It will be our secondary computer we use for business trips, vacations or if someone can't wait for someone else to get off the desktop to harvest their farm! (sorry, little Farmville humor there! ) So I don't need it to be super powerful, I just want a laptop that is quick and reliable! :) Also, referring back to the business trips, DH may be going on a work trip to Germany in the next couple weeks so I may have to buy something before BF but I still want a good laptop for a really good deal! Thanks!

Is the Satellite a good laptop? Better than the Wal-mart HP one? Is $400 a good deal? Sorry to ask these questions straight to you but you seem to know what your talking about!

One year my mother got this "thing" from her mother-in-law. After about an hour of trying to figure out what it was she had to call and ask! She said that it was a thing to scrape corn off the cob! Who give that as a X-Mas present?! :)
