  1. Gosh, so what's up with Target Toy Clearance? It looks to me like they are not doing it in January! Just got back from my Super Target and most of the clearance toys were at 30% and 50% already. AND they were really picked over. TONS of empty clearance pegs in the aisles and on the clearance endcaps. I'm not used to seeing the toys clearanced "in line" with the other toys (non-clearance) but that is how they were doing it. There was not a toy clearance aisle, everything was marked way down and on the regular aisles. Anyone else seeing this?? Again, I don't see there will be a lot left for January. I picked up a few toys that were already out of the system and couldn't even get a price.
  2. Almost forgot, in browsing toys I noticed there were a bunch of toys with clearance stickers in the toy aisles, not on an endocap. Strawberry Shortcake Twirl Fashion Show 50% off, various dolls, some Tonka stuff, sporadic toys with clearance stickers.
  3. I found a Playwonder Kitchen at the McKinney, TX Target. Only one in 12 stores within an hour and a half! But i got one, yaay! Thank you everyone. I just love this forum, everyone is great about posting the deals. So, while I was in Target, of course I swung by the infant/toddler department and found that there were standard Blue Jeans marked down 50% to $4.00 a pair. I bought in various sizes from 18 months to 3T for darling granddaughter. I trim them off and add a fabric ruffle, some embroidery trim and rhinestones - about 30 minutes of work for cute little designer jeans! Picked up some for 2 year old grandson as well in sizes 2T and 3T. Really nice jeans and a great price! Thanks again all for the tips on the kitchen
  4. HELP - North Texas - Austin - Houston Perimeter Perusers: If anyone finds the PLAYWONDER kitchen would you purchase one for me I'll arrange to get it from you. Desperate to find one of these for darling granddaughter! Thanks guys! Any color (Red or Pink)
  5. Very good deal on First Aid Kits - Red AAA (as in Triple A) College Zip Case with Lanyard clip. Loaded with band aids, gauze, medical stuff. Reg. $14.99 for $3.74. I grabbed 5 to give to everyone for their car. Great deal. ### First Aid Kit - AAA College Edition $3.74
  6. If I'm in Target in the evening (before closing) they bring the baskets with return merchandise to the toy and baby departments, so employees can put toys away that night or first thing in the morning. So late night, early morning are a good time to check the departments for "return" baskets. At least it's that way in about 5 North Texas stores. Don't know if they do this at other Targets, but I'll bet they do. Of course, they probably run "return" baskets to departments during the day also. But I've just found that the late night/early morning are good times to paw through those baskets for markdown returns.......
  7. I found a dinosaur muffin pan yesterday - YAY!!!! It was marked $16.+ dollars, but thanks to Gottadeal, I knew to scan it, and yep it was $5.24 - Happy Dance Time :) !!! Also found 75% off toys in a return basket - a $12.99 Fisher Price Xylophone for $3.24, and a couple of Little People Appleville Books with Characters for $2.48. Bargains in baby department are dwindling - I'm still finding crib sheets for $3.98 to $1.98 and lap pads for $1.74, some fleecy blankets for $4.98. Still a few markdowns floating around, I think. Stores in North Texas have been clearancing baby gear (strollers, car seats, etc.) for a few weeks. Most at 30% off.......and selling well at that markdown..... I found more of the 6 pack of Avent Bottles for Breastmilk Storage or to add nipples to for nursing for $7.74 (regular $30.99). I was in the North Richland Hills, TX store and found 6 boxes, new in wrappers. An expecting Mom was looking at them the put them down as they weren't marked down. I said, those are on markdown in other stores, so I went and scanned them. She had already moved on, so I put some in my cart and walked over to her with two packages. Said, these are scanning $7.74. I've never seen anyone so happy.......LOL! So if you are in the market for these 4 oz. Avent Bottles, be sure to scan the package as they are not marked but are in the system on markdown. Keep checking those baskets, the returns are coming in.......
  8. Almost forgot - Houston area GDers - on my drive down from Fort Worth, I stopped at the Conroe/Hunstville Target on I45. Believe it or not, they still had toys left! Found a few more things I was hunting for. So anyone in Houston looking for toys might try there first thing in the morning. I was in the store around 8:45 tonight..... ALSO found Avent 8 oz bottle 2 Pack, normally $19.99, on sale for $9.98. My daughter and niece are both expecting so I bought 7 pkgs. But don't worry, there were about 8 left if anyone needs any. The single bottles were also half price. Great deal!!!!!
  9. Chicagomama, thanks for your kudos about the Pay it Forward - it just seemed like the right thing to do for a fellow GD'er. We are all so fortunate, and truly blessed. Even when life is tough, you can always find a ray of sunshine in the kindness of others. I feel privledged to help in a a very, very small way. Does my heart good. What's that they say about feeling so great when you give?I hope anyone with any extra Smart Cycle games will help Shannon out. I don't know what her medical problems are, but just the thought of three "head" surgeries in 3 months must be overwhelming. Take care everyone. Life is short, and precious. You can make a difference.
  10. Shannon:I have Dora the Explorer Game for Smart Cycle. PM me your address and I will send it to you. Don't worry about the money, just pay it forward when you get a chance. Happy to do this for you. Hope your medical proceedure went OK. My prayers are with you. jpk1102
  11. For those of you whose stores are 50% - I scanned several toy items and they registered 50% off on the Red Scanner. But when I asked an employee to scan it with the PDA, they came up 75%. So make sure to ask someone to scan if toys are showing 50%. Don't know why, but this happened in 3 stores........ Also, please remember, if you didn't get what you want, check back in a couple of days. Some of us will be returning stuff. LOL, so you'll have a second chance!!!!
  12. Targets in Fort Worth and NRH, Davis Street and Denton HWY all 75% off. First two stores were good, remainder picked over by the time I got there (I did 6 stores). Anyone DFW looking for LIONEL Christmas Store Train - 4 at Bryant Irwin as of 12:45 - 75% off. Also had 2 Trio Castle Brick Sets. Anyone DFW looking for SMART CYLE there were a couple in both 377 Denton Hwy and Davis Street. All in all, a good day.
  13. Go figure - the ONLY store in 50 miles (DFW) I didn't check went 75% off this morning Mansfield at Debbie Lane (at 287). I was in there at just before 5pm and clearance toys were all but cleaned out. I did get a Fisher Price Riding toy for $9.98, one of the Circo Stacking Turtles for $6.28 and a Tonka Driver Truck for $11.98 (so I can return the $22.98 one at least). Hoping the other FW store I scoped out goes to 75% tomorrow morning. Or maybe there will be something left in Houston later in the day as I'm headed down there later in the morning. Good luck to everyone tomorrow!
  14. The dcpi's are helpful when items are posted to the main bargains page. With a dcpi I believe you can check to see if the item is in a local Target. Also with the dcpi I think you can identify the item via Target's web site. "Senior" members (meaning more experience members, LOL), correct me if I am wrong on any of this.
  15. kwamt 33 Thanks on keeping eyes out for the Dinosaur Muffing Pan! You've got a great store there - love the Allen Super Target. I'm in SW Fort Worth near Bryant Irwin. Of course we in DFW are so lucky with so many Targets to choose from. I feel sorry for the gals with only 1 Target in their area! Hope our DFW stores go 75% on toys tomorrow. Keep posting.......
  16. I'm looking for the dinosaur muffin pat at $5.24 clearance if anyone finds one. I'll pay shipping and cost, just email me. Thanks!
  17. lukesmom01: Welcome to Gottadeal. I'm relatively new here also (since last Jan.) The 75% will be on selected toys, some just for Christmas selling season, and others being discontinued to may way for the "new" toy reset. If you shop in advance (next Christmas, birthdays, etc.) you'll find some great bargains. Fisher Price, etc. toys are just as good next year as this year - just better to get them at 75% off this year and save for next!!!! The members here are simply wonderful. Hope you find as many bargains as I have!
  18. Two Fort Worth Targets still at 30-50% as of noon. But of course I did find something else....... Housewares: ###16 Quart Stainless Steel Stock Pot Reg. $39.99 for $9.98 Baby Deal of the Day: ###Avent Breast Milk Storage Set $30.99, on markdown for $7.98 and I had a $3.00 coupon, so net cost $4.98. Found two sets (different Targets) tossed in on a clearance encap. What a buy! Please, Target, please markdown toys, I'm going broke on bargains, LOL, hehehhe!
  19. Hit about 6 stores in Dallas. Toys all still at 50% - 30% in some. Hope the markdown to 75% is tomorrow. Got the toys I want down to 1 store, so I will go there first. Baby stuff - found more great deals. The Carter's 3 pc. onsie sets 50% off for $3.98, and in one store just one style 75% off. It was the one with the Red "Monster" on the front, 3 pc set for $1.98. I bought every one they had (about 6)! I have no idea why these were marked $1.98 as they were in the same group as the other Carter's markdown. I thought, no way these are going to ring up at $1.98, but they did! Found sippy cups, pacificers (2 Packs of Nuk Otho 0+ months for .98 cents!), a couple of sheets that were $3.98 everywhere else for $1.98. No rhyme or reason between to these markdowns, crazy! Also found: ###Fisher Price Precious Planet Open Top Swing Reg. $129.99 for $81.00 - I was happy about that to match the other PP stuff I have. Hopefully I can find one at 50% off, but I'm more than happy with the 30% off. Kitchen stuff was good, got lots of tools, nice salt and pepper grinder for $4.98 and: ###T Fal Roasting Pan with Rack Reg. $39.99 for $9.98 ###T Fal Roaster Reg. $29.99 for $8.00 Also found 2 of the hanging on wall mobile in baby dept for $3.74. Sure hope toys go to 75% tomorrow. I'm going broke on all these other bargains when I check the store, LOL!
  20. Just got back from 2 different Targets in Fort Worth. I had checked toys in each store on both Monday and Tuesday (50%). I checked both stores this morning and there is a completely empty aisle in each and the toys - except for a few on another aisle - are not there. I had been watching one store that had 10 of the Tonka driving toy and 6 of the Fisher Price Shop and Learn at 50%. I'm pretty sure they pulled the toys and took them to the back room to mark. That's the only thing that makes sense. No way they sold 10 or one toy and 6 of the other overnight. Question is, will they go back on the floor today at 75% or tomorrow?????? Also in the same store, there was new markdown baby stuff going out - some stuff I didn't get on Monday. The clerk said, you need to check back after Monday, because we keep putting stuff out till it's gone. She also said they sometimes pull stuff to mark in the back room. I'm checking Dallas Targets today and will post later.
  21. Yep, baby markdown has begun. Got this: XXXX Graco Hoot Travel System $189.99 marked down to $125.99 XXXX Baby Sleepers 50% Off XXXX Carter's Baby 50% Off XXXX Disney Pooh Winter Baby Boy/Girl 75% Off Various items in the aisles. Baby Gear from 15 to 30% a few items at 50%. Toddler clothes as above on sale also. No rhyme or reason to how the stores mark down. Some at 50-75 and some still at 30. One of the clerks told me that the Target Super Stores mark down first and sometimes even skip 15% off. Based on what I saw this weekend in DFW Targets (I went to 10), that seemed to hold true.
  22. Almost forgot.....found ###Dust Devil Gator Portable Rechargeable Vacumn on an endcap Reg. $39.99 for $9.99 (I got 2). Looks like the Dust Devil vacs were also discounted, sorry, didn't look at the price. Saw these in several stores.
  23. D/FW TX Perusers.....the Beltine Rd. and 635 Target had 5 (FIVE) Spike the Dinosaur at 50% as of Saturday evening, so if you are hunting for one, good chance you can get one when the mark to 75%. On Friday evening I was in the Stacy Road Target and the ENTIRE display of Carters Sleepers, gift sets, blankets, burp cloths, etc. was marked at 50% (see post above). Department worker told me they were making way for the "new" products. Sure enough, on Saturday the entire display was reworked with the new Carter's products. What was left of markdown was condensed at end of the display. I checked other stores in the area, and with the exception of one with a partial markdown, none of the others had marked down yet. I think all the stores are sitting with the new product in the store room, so I'm thinking that all the Targets will go the same route with the markdown in this area, direct to 50%. So if you are looking for infant stuff, keep your eyes out on this area....... Baby gear was also marked down at this store to 30%. On Satuday, all the Graco Alana strollers were gone (but lots in the other DFW stores not marked down yet), the Stacy store still had Stylus (blue/grey) strollers at 30%. I scored the Happy Giraffe Bouncer at 30% and the Happy Giraffe Fold and Go Swing, also at 30%. Figured I would get them and if I find at 50% later, return. Best score of the day: ###Bright Stars Pink Bouncer, regular $39.99 for $8.51. It apparently was a return from internet that they immediately marked at 75% off. You gotta love Target. I'm way too addicted to this bargain shopping!
  24. Had a great day today at D/FW area Targets. Got tape (about 20). All rang up "item not found" but I had a prior receipt for .19 tape purchase and cashiers at two stores rang them up with no problem. Same with the Christmas 14.99 pj's "item not found". Just showed the cashier my receipt and said, this was on Christmas 90% markdown and again she rang them up. So, it pays to keep the receipts in your purse in case you find other items "item not found" - at least showing the receipt with a prior item on it scored the mark-down price again! BIG Bonanza at Stacy Rd. Super Target (my first time there) - the entire gondola of seasonal baby onsies, shoes, blankets, bibs, outfits, sleepers at 50% off. I filled my cart for the coming new grandchild, grandnephew and grand? (sex unknown). I attracted a lot of other customers wondering what I was putting in the cart. The display was pretty much stripped after other people caught on. Whaaaaa-hu! I NEVER ran across a bargain like that en masse with such a great collection. Various D/FW Targets had 75% of a few toys. I think next week will be 75% at most other stores (gut feeling). Found that cute little train set for the 75% off also. I guess no takers on the Spike I found? He was only 50 off. I may try selling him on Craigslist, or just return to store. Anyone in DFW (Houston or Austin) who needs a Spike, let me know - I'll hold a couple of days (total was $70. with tax).
  25. Who needs a Spike the Dinosaur? If you need one, I have one.....I found Spike tonight and bought him thinking one of you guys might want him - he was 50% off $64.98 plus $5.36 tax ($70.34 total). I live in Fort Worth, but am in Dallas, Austin and Houston regularly. First one in Texas who wants him and is willing to meet me in one of the listed cities can have him for what I paid. If no one else replies, I am willing to ship him if you will pay ship costs. PM me if interested. Also saw two Spike Jrs. at Target on Davis Street in DFW area.
