  1. Gosh, so what's up with Target Toy Clearance? It looks to me like they are not doing it in January! Just got back from my Super Target and most of the clearance toys were at 30% and 50% already. AND they were really picked over. TONS of empty clearance pegs in the aisles and on the clearance endcaps. I'm not used to seeing the toys clearanced "in line" with the other toys (non-clearance) but that is how they were doing it. There was not a toy clearance aisle, everything was marked way down and on the regular aisles. Anyone else seeing this?? Again, I don't see there will be a lot left for January. I picked up a few toys that were already out of the system and couldn't even get a price.
  2. Almost forgot, in browsing toys I noticed there were a bunch of toys with clearance stickers in the toy aisles, not on an endocap. Strawberry Shortcake Twirl Fashion Show 50% off, various dolls, some Tonka stuff, sporadic toys with clearance stickers.
  3. I found a Playwonder Kitchen at the McKinney, TX Target. Only one in 12 stores within an hour and a half! But i got one, yaay! Thank you everyone. I just love this forum, everyone is great about posting the deals. So, while I was in Target, of course I swung by the infant/toddler department and found that there were standard Blue Jeans marked down 50% to $4.00 a pair. I bought in various sizes from 18 months to 3T for darling granddaughter. I trim them off and add a fabric ruffle, some embroidery trim and rhinestones - about 30 minutes of work for cute little designer jeans! Picked up some for 2 year old grandson as well in sizes 2T and 3T. Really nice jeans and a great price! Thanks again all for the tips on the kitchen
  4. HELP - North Texas - Austin - Houston Perimeter Perusers: If anyone finds the PLAYWONDER kitchen would you purchase one for me I'll arrange to get it from you. Desperate to find one of these for darling granddaughter! Thanks guys! Any color (Red or Pink)
  5. Very good deal on First Aid Kits - Red AAA (as in Triple A) College Zip Case with Lanyard clip. Loaded with band aids, gauze, medical stuff. Reg. $14.99 for $3.74. I grabbed 5 to give to everyone for their car. Great deal. ### First Aid Kit - AAA College Edition $3.74
  6. If I'm in Target in the evening (before closing) they bring the baskets with return merchandise to the toy and baby departments, so employees can put toys away that night or first thing in the morning. So late night, early morning are a good time to check the departments for "return" baskets. At least it's that way in about 5 North Texas stores. Don't know if they do this at other Targets, but I'll bet they do. Of course, they probably run "return" baskets to departments during the day also. But I've just found that the late night/early morning are good times to paw through those baskets for markdown returns.......
  7. I found a dinosaur muffin pan yesterday - YAY!!!! It was marked $16.+ dollars, but thanks to Gottadeal, I knew to scan it, and yep it was $5.24 - Happy Dance Time :) !!! Also found 75% off toys in a return basket - a $12.99 Fisher Price Xylophone for $3.24, and a couple of Little People Appleville Books with Characters for $2.48. Bargains in baby department are dwindling - I'm still finding crib sheets for $3.98 to $1.98 and lap pads for $1.74, some fleecy blankets for $4.98. Still a few markdowns floating around, I think. Stores in North Texas have been clearancing baby gear (strollers, car seats, etc.) for a few weeks. Most at 30% off.......and selling well at that markdown..... I found more of the 6 pack of Avent Bottles for Breastmilk Storage or to add nipples to for nursing for $7.74 (regular $30.99). I was in the North Richland Hills, TX store and found 6 boxes, new in wrappers. An expecting Mom was looking at them the put them down as they weren't marked down. I said, those are on markdown in other stores, so I went and scanned them. She had already moved on, so I put some in my cart and walked over to her with two packages. Said, these are scanning $7.74. I've never seen anyone so happy.......LOL! So if you are in the market for these 4 oz. Avent Bottles, be sure to scan the package as they are not marked but are in the system on markdown. Keep checking those baskets, the returns are coming in.......
  8. Almost forgot - Houston area GDers - on my drive down from Fort Worth, I stopped at the Conroe/Hunstville Target on I45. Believe it or not, they still had toys left! Found a few more things I was hunting for. So anyone in Houston looking for toys might try there first thing in the morning. I was in the store around 8:45 tonight..... ALSO found Avent 8 oz bottle 2 Pack, normally $19.99, on sale for $9.98. My daughter and niece are both expecting so I bought 7 pkgs. But don't worry, there were about 8 left if anyone needs any. The single bottles were also half price. Great deal!!!!!
  9. Chicagomama, thanks for your kudos about the Pay it Forward - it just seemed like the right thing to do for a fellow GD'er. We are all so fortunate, and truly blessed. Even when life is tough, you can always find a ray of sunshine in the kindness of others. I feel privledged to help in a a very, very small way. Does my heart good. What's that they say about feeling so great when you give?I hope anyone with any extra Smart Cycle games will help Shannon out. I don't know what her medical problems are, but just the thought of three "head" surgeries in 3 months must be overwhelming. Take care everyone. Life is short, and precious. You can make a difference.
  10. Shannon:I have Dora the Explorer Game for Smart Cycle. PM me your address and I will send it to you. Don't worry about the money, just pay it forward when you get a chance. Happy to do this for you. Hope your medical proceedure went OK. My prayers are with you. jpk1102
  11. For those of you whose stores are 50% - I scanned several toy items and they registered 50% off on the Red Scanner. But when I asked an employee to scan it with the PDA, they came up 75%. So make sure to ask someone to scan if toys are showing 50%. Don't know why, but this happened in 3 stores........ Also, please remember, if you didn't get what you want, check back in a couple of days. Some of us will be returning stuff. LOL, so you'll have a second chance!!!!
  12. Targets in Fort Worth and NRH, Davis Street and Denton HWY all 75% off. First two stores were good, remainder picked over by the time I got there (I did 6 stores). Anyone DFW looking for LIONEL Christmas Store Train - 4 at Bryant Irwin as of 12:45 - 75% off. Also had 2 Trio Castle Brick Sets. Anyone DFW looking for SMART CYLE there were a couple in both 377 Denton Hwy and Davis Street. All in all, a good day.
  13. Go figure - the ONLY store in 50 miles (DFW) I didn't check went 75% off this morning Mansfield at Debbie Lane (at 287). I was in there at just before 5pm and clearance toys were all but cleaned out. I did get a Fisher Price Riding toy for $9.98, one of the Circo Stacking Turtles for $6.28 and a Tonka Driver Truck for $11.98 (so I can return the $22.98 one at least). Hoping the other FW store I scoped out goes to 75% tomorrow morning. Or maybe there will be something left in Houston later in the day as I'm headed down there later in the morning. Good luck to everyone tomorrow!
  14. The dcpi's are helpful when items are posted to the main bargains page. With a dcpi I believe you can check to see if the item is in a local Target. Also with the dcpi I think you can identify the item via Target's web site. "Senior" members (meaning more experience members, LOL), correct me if I am wrong on any of this.
  15. kwamt 33 Thanks on keeping eyes out for the Dinosaur Muffing Pan! You've got a great store there - love the Allen Super Target. I'm in SW Fort Worth near Bryant Irwin. Of course we in DFW are so lucky with so many Targets to choose from. I feel sorry for the gals with only 1 Target in their area! Hope our DFW stores go 75% on toys tomorrow. Keep posting.......
