  1. Yes, KC...that is what I meant...thanks! Here in Missouri I can get a refund for what I paid for the item as long as I have a receipt and actually return the item. However, I can got just bring in my receipt and say "I paid $10 for this and now it is on clearance for $5" and get them to give me a $5 refund (which is what a price adjustment is).
  2. Target will NOT do a price adjustment on clearance. You either buy new stuff at the current discount and return the things you purchased with the 50% receipt or see if they will let you return it and buy it again (I have never had them let me do that). But you can't just take in the receipts and ask for and adjustment.
  3. Saw the Neiman Marcus stuff 70% off, very clearly signed at the front of the store and there was tons left...people just aren't buying it. I considered the pink Marchesa dress for my daughter as at $23 it was a cute holiday dress. But it us dry clean only and that's just not happening for a kids' dress.
  4. I got to my store at 8:15 today and the signs said 50% off, but everything (except candy) scanned 70% off. I was the only one shopping for about 45 minutes...glorious! Got some of the things that others have listed as well as a bunch of planters nuts (in the tin), some LED tap lights ($1.79), a car charger for my phone, a Christmas pancake set (pan and a squeeze bottle for batter), some pretty dishes, a nordicware wisk (I've been needing a wisk!) and some tissues (both up&up and Puffs). Also got a Junie B Jones Christmas book and lots of stocking stuffery things for next year. Oh, and the little bottles of Ice Cubes gum with the holly around the top were 70% off, so that is awesome. I didn't get any wrapping paper or ornaments...those are for 90% off for me! All in all a great day at Target for me!
  5. Didn't go early, so I missed all of the foil and ziploc baggies. Question...did anyone find papertowels or napkins marked down? The Christmasy ones that I scanned (one with a reddish design, one with "Let it Snow" on them) didn't ring up at 50% off. Was happy to find the winter pine cat littler marked down to 30% off with a peel off coupon for two free Fancy Feast foods...net cost about $3 (orig $6.99!). It seemed like the whole store was on clearance in one way or another.
  6. Did anyone check out the Neimann Marcus stuff? I went yesterday expecting it all to be sold out and I was surprised to see it all pretty much fully stocked. Some really gorgeous stuff, but the prices are definitely NOT Target prices. There is one very gorgeous little girls' dress that is $99! I mean, it's beautiful, but I wouldn't spend that much on a dress for myself, let alone my 5 year old. I wonder if any of it sold out at your stores? I'm hoping to see some of it on clearance eventually!
  7. KC...which store did you find that in and...were there any more?
  8. Everything except candy was 70% off at my store yesterday and much to my surprise, there were still about 25 packs of papertowels left! I got a few and one pack of napkins. I was the only one shopping at 8:00. Everything else was pretty picked over, but I did get a cake-pop pan and two sets of mixes (caramel apple and s'mores). I also got the Halloween gingerbread village. I plan to make it for Christmas (I'll just buy some Christmas-y candy and use that instead of the candy corn and such). I was surprised at the fact that there was NO outdoor decor left at my store. Most years there are 10-20 big light-up things left at 90% off, but I guess people were feeling festive this year. Since my store just went to 70% yesterday I'm guessing it will be a couple of days before it hits 90% off.
  9. We don't know. But we do know that there is a limited number if items to share amongst all of the people who need/want them, so one person buying out the whole department (regardless of whether they can use the items) is still selfish. Bottom line. We teach our kids to take only their fair share of Halloween candy from the bowl, so we should live by those same standards, even if we CAN use 20 packs of napkins. If I use 20 packs of napkins, then there are 9 people out there who don't get to use 2 packs of napkins. I know, I know...it's a free country and everyone is free to fill their carts. I am not saying that there should be rules against it and I'm not saying that there aren't people out there who are donating items to those in need or people who work at a daycare or people with a family of 25 to feed. It's just that I'm thinking MOST people filling their carts to excess are just greedy. And it just takes all of the fun out of it. I also know that we have this discussion/argument every time this sale roles around and I know there are different opinions here. It has just gotten so much worse, at least at my store, and it is frustrating. I used to be one of those people that bought 10 of the things I wanted thinking I would use them year round, but I had to step back and think about how much I really NEEDED and also about the fact that there are lots of other people who need those things, too. I'm a reformed shelf-clearer.
  10. Literally an entire aisle of Halloween paper towels at my store. Yay! I got 2 packs. Because wouldn't it be awesome if everyone just got 2 packs and there would still be a half-aisle of them left at 70% off? But no, people have to get 20 packs of them. Seriously...I can't even enjoy these clearances anymore because my blood boils when I see ladies with literally 20 of EVERYTHING in her cart. 20 packs of paper towels, 20 napkins, 20 Hefty bags, 20 paper plates, 5 cases of pirate booty, 20 cake mixes....every single thing she had taken 2 years' worth. I bought 4packs of napkins last year and I STILL have a pack and I have a family of four. No one needs 20 packs of napkins! Ugh. Thank goodness I got there at 8:15 so that I could get 2 of each thing I wanted. Sorry....I don't mean to offend anyone and I know that there are people who buy for charities or what-not, but it just makes me so mad when people clear the shelves. Especially at 50% off. Come on, people...if we all just waited 3 days before we had to fill up our carts, we would all save MORE money!! I mean, if you find an aisle of paper towels at 90% off then by all means...buy enough for 3 years. But at 50% off it's not THAT good of a deal anyway. I didn't even look at anything else, as I don't buy decor or costumes until they are at least 70% off. But I managed to get a box of Clif Bars, a case of Pirate Booty, 2 boxes of Hefty sandwich bags, and some Puffs (in addition to the paper towels).
  11. Ahhh, Halloween. The one time of year that all of the random things I got at 90% off and use around the house year round (cups/bowls/plates/napkins) make sense. --Said to myself this morning as I poured a bowl of cereal into a jack-o-lantern bowl.
  12. Thanks for the suggestions, all! I ended up picking one up for 50% off ($65.xx)...my son has allergies so if it doesn't work in the basement I will just put it in his room. We used to have a dehumidifier but it broke...guess I need another one! Back to clearance...I saw a LOT of new random things marked down last time. There was a wall of make-up bags (nice for a Christmas gift..fill those up with freebies from B&BW or something), lots of toys, and random housewares a'plenty. Cotton Candy machine was just 50% off and only one left. Pool toys/lifejackets/goggles were all 70% off.
  13. Has anyone seen the air purifiers marked to 50% off or 70% off? Anyone have one of these? Do they work? We have a new house and the basement has a little bit of a basementy smell and I'm wondering if one of those might get rid of it. (We've tried everything else).
  14. FYI...rugs were 50% off today (not sure if they got marked today or yesterday). I got the two runners that I wanted b/c they were the only two left, but I'm eyeing some of the bigger ones for when they go 70% off. There were quite a few marked down. Oh, and the duvet covers (variety) were 70% off but the comforter sets were still 50% off.
  15. If anyone sees the non-kids rugs marked down today will you post? We just moved and I need a couple of runners for our stairway and another rug for our living room so I'm waiting. Even if they are just 50% off as opposed to 30% off I think I'm ready to buy! I can't make it there today but I have a feeling they may get marked down. Went yesterday and didn't see any new markdowns at all.
  16. The picture frames/framed art, furniture, bath items, and some bedding all got marked down yesterday at my store. Most of the furniture was 70% off (except for the ONE piece that I was looking at that stayed at 50%) and the art/frames were all 70% off. Bath stuff and bedding was half and half...some stayed at 50% off, some got marked to 70%. The little fountains stayed at 50% off...there are a thousand of them at my store! Rugs didn't get marked down at all at my store yesterday. Hoping soon!
  17. Does anyone know when furniture is marked down? I checked the first page and it's not listed. Is it part of "housewares" or "domestics"? Waiting on a desk and hoping it goes to 70% this week! Also, when did the rugs get marked down? Just this week or have they been marked for a few weeks? Stalking a couple of those, too!
  18. The tape (Scotch, colorful cases) was clearanced at my store. $.30/roll!
  19. No Kindles in my store at all. Bummer! Went through the toy section today and was surprised at how much was left. I think b/c they never consolodated it hasn't been shopped by the regular shopping public at all (unlike when there is a whole aisle that says "70% off!" on it). Found a few great things today that I didn't notice when I was there on the big day...I don't think they were returns...just random things in random places, one of which wasn't even marked. Weird thing that happened...I found a "Find it" for kids with a clearance sticker 70% off. When they rang it up it was full price and not even the same full price that the sticker said was the original price. She manually entered in the SKU from the clearance sticker and it STILL said full price. She was going to call the manager over to figure it out but by then I decided that I didn't really want it anyway (we already have the adult version) so I left it there. But that was weird. It was really dusty so part of me thinks that perhaps it was from a past toy clearance and has been restocked since then at full price. Who knows.
  20. What I find really interesting about this year is that there are many things that others are finding clearanced that are full price at my stores (yep...even scanned). Other things I never even saw. So random from store to store this time around! I went to another store and found a few more things (surprisingly...it was 6:30 and pretty cleared out, but a few hidden gems). I was happy to find an iXL tablet which I really wanted.
  21. Here is what I got today! 5 in 1 Princess Art Easel: $6.83 Lalaloopsy wig (halloween possibility!): $3.88 Mario Kart Wii remote control cars: $16.50 Creepy Bug Maker: $9.44 Creepy Bug Maker refills: $1.88 each Creepy Bug Maker extra molds: $3.14 each Dr. Dreadful Zombie Brain kit (awesome): $7.48 Fisher Price smart tablet: $7.46 Ladybug Pillow: $5.98 Legos were only 30-50% off, so didn't get any of those.
  22. No movement at my normal "Wednesday" store as of about 10:00 this morning. I can't go back today, so I'll just have to hope they wait until tomorrow! I found a few more things that I'm interested in, so hopefully those things will still be there!!
  23. Good find on the Coppertone! I need to look for that! The hula hoop, too...what color/style were they? Headed there tomorrow morning just to double check the toys, but I feel confident that nothing will be happening. Did see today that all of the Paper Jams stuff was 70% off. My kids have the guitar and microphone and they really like them...definitely worth the price at 70% off for sure! You can download songs to them so they can play/sing the songs they like.
  24. If I had a baby to load up I wouldn't go tomorrow. Every year the last 3 years the markdown has been NEXT week, so chances are it will not be until then. But you can always come here to see if anyone posts that they saw toys marked down and then head out if there are any reports! As long as you aren't on the east coast, you may even find out before the stores open.
