What are the Hot Toys for Black Friday / Christmas 2013?
momee2twins replied to fabnsab's topic in 2013
Rubber band bracelet kits (several brands) and "fashion" duct tape big with the 9 to 12 yr old girls. Disney Infinity popular, but buggy. Skylanders has a new game coming out (with a whole new crop of figures). Old figures should work in new game, but new ones won't in the old game.Print jeans also big with the pre-teens (think leopard, chetah & zebra). Nerf bows popular with both. My girls are busy making bracelets and selling them to their class at school . -
I stocked up on Chima sets at our WalMart last week. They were on clearance. Might check your stores.

I stalked the vizio until 3 am and it said not going online, now says sold out but the ticker only shows beats being on sale. So confused
-
The big tvs are sold out online at regular price
-
Our walmart has TONS

Saw the Switch N Go Dino marked down to $33 today at walmart

How old are your kids? Our bambam is 6. Is Skylanders too much for him? -
Amazon listed a bunch of BF sales prices today and one was the same tv that walmart has (60 inch vzio) for the same price as walmart.

Just saw this thread. Good lord, I hope not!

Again, something I've never shopped for on BF, but thought, hey, why not? Just started doing counted cross stitch. Didn't see any in JoAnns or Michaels. Of course, hard to concentrate with two 9 year olds and a 6 year old trying to use a dry erase marker on the screen to circle their favorite things. So anyway, has anybody ever seen those kits on sale? Or am I better off printing a half dozed hobby lobby coupons and enlisting the family to go and buy them before BF?

Not an option here. You either have US Cellular or two cans and a string. ATT boots you for using other networks.
-
GOT IT! Now with my $10 birthday card, the princesses MIGHT be getting those boots they've been eying....

The ad scan shows two oneida flatware sets, castle and zinc, but the kohls site is showing only the castle. Kind of wanted the other one. Any chance its a special item that will magically appear for the bf sale online?

How much $ are u hoping to have saved for shopping on BF?
momee2twins replied to Jen08's topic in 2012
We have a set budget of $2k for everything for Christmas. I use whatever I haven't spent already on BF. This year took a hit because of the 3 ipod touch for the kids. -
I'll have to talk to some of our friends. DH isn't particularly handy, so we sort of need one that is ummm...for the tech challenged.

I was wondering if the generator could be tied to the gas line so that the gas would power it to run the fridge, freezer, tv & lights. Our water heater will run without electricity (if pilot goes out, have to light by hand) and we have a gas fireplace that we light by hand. Where we live, usually not a big snow problem, but we get storms every couple of years that knock the state out for a week since they aren't ready for them.
-
and then there are those of us stuck with us cellular.....price for living in Deliverance I guess....
-
Newb question on generators...if we got a whole house one, could it be tied in to the natural gas line that we have that runs our hot water heaters and fireplace?

still waiting here

walmart tv...never bought bf...how long to go camp?
momee2twins replied to momee2twins's topic in 2012
We'll be away visiting family and I would rather order online & have it delivered (or pick up at our store when we get home, only 3 minutes from our house to walmart), but its tempting to schlep it for $300 savings. Its the one we've been planning on buying as we have other vzio tvs and they work great. It'll fit (have a trailblazer), but would be tight with 3 kids and all the other nonsense that comes with a trip to grandparents' house with the only grandkids in the family. (think fao schwartz on wheels). I appreciate all the advice though! -
I just get the Jiffy mixes at walmart and cut them in half and works fine. Takes longer than the easy mixes, but a lot cheaper.
-
i've gone around 3 in the afternoon and they would have my "nice to haves" but the store would be pretty empty. I've also gone on wed nite around 8 (ish) and had the items ring up at BF prices.

it may be a 60, i just was working off the screen with DH wiggling the mouse around all jumpy like a 6 year old on halloween candy -
DH Would love one of the 65 inch for $688. Enough that he will figure a way to schlep it home during an 15 hour drive. How long would I have to go camp for one of the big ones? Any chance it'll go online?

Not quite what I was hoping for, but I should be able to get the kids' gift exchange stuff taken care of for parties. May pick up the docking stations, but need to make sure they fit 5th gen. Only other thing I saw was b1g1 on the happy nappers and thats a maybe. at least i don't have to wait all night in the cold for what I want.
