  1. i never could get the coupon to come up on that
  2. Anybody know how much the wii u will slow down if you have 2 of the handhelds vs one handheld and one regular controler?
  3. A babysitter for the Herd so I can take a nap and have a cup of coffee before it gets cold........................ oh, you're probably talking about product...........
  4. I did all my Kohl's stuff online last year. Free shipping and racked up Cash and had a promo from my Kohls card. Think It was tues or wed nite when the sales went live. Had NO problem with their site at all, even though shopping from my phone.
  5. They're pretty responsible with their ipods, and no room in the toy room or their rooms for two desktop computers. Plus want something they can take on trips. Saw some laptops at walmart. one had 4gb memorty and 320 gb hard drive for $298. Couple others had 4 gb memory and 500 gb hard drive with touch screens for $398 and $465
  6. Can anybody explain the difference between a netbook and a laptop to me?? I've seen some netbooks for under $300, but also a touchscreen one for under $400...They don't have to take these to college, but would like to be usable for a couple years...
  7. I've got the kids a Wavemaster kicking stand (karate junkies), a couple of college hats, some legos from clearance, Nerf Rebelle (selling out FAST here) and some skylander giants to finish out the little guys' set (and will look for some of the swap force since he bought the new game with his birthday money...SO glad the old ones work in the new game....only 55 new characters to collect you know )
  8. Considering a lot of people will be cutting back due to uncertainty on the economy ( gov shutdown and debt ceiling drama in Jan AGAIN), I expect the stores will open earlier if they are allowed by their municipality and their employees don't riot. Sales were already anticipated to be down, so they will be grabbing for every dollar they can.
  9. Ummm...my fav toys as a kid were the green pecans from the tree out back that we used as ammo for the slingshots we made......but I do remember Stretch Armstrong, Knight Rider, and the original Star Wars figures. 42
  10. Okay, first of the new to laptop field questions: what's best for 10 yr olds? Need decent screen size , but not huge since don't need to stream movies. Good memory and input for a memory stick. Not looking at a Mac, since all other computer stuff Windows operated (except for ipods and DH still can't work those). They will want to surf internet for school and some online games (think gamesgames.com or the ones on nick.com....not world warcraft types) Need to be able to print via cord or wireless. And I have to buy 2, so hopefully under $350 each. Suggestions on brands, memory, stores, etc??
  11. If I was getting one for me, I'd do a fire HD, but then I'd probably just go for the ipad at that point. I just want something they can read on. They game & stream netflix on their ipod 5th gens and we're getting them the input cords and flat screens for their rooms so they can watch netflix on a bigger screen than the ipod (but mommy still gets to "stalk" what they watch since its on my account)
  12. mine just aren't that co-ordinated...they kept coming apart... Apparently the Nerf Rebelle series (nerf for girls) is hot...a lot of places sold out or picked over already...especially the bows...I'm guessing because of Hunger Games? Don't know, but when ahead and got while I could since its one TOY that the Princesses asked for (instead of adult quality electronics that they think they NEED)
  13. I have people ask me questions, but the only people I shop for that aren't on "my" list are the Angel Tree and shelter kids. The supervisor knows I BF shop and will give me a heads up on what they need/want and I do my best.
  14. BamBam came home talking about Gooie Looie (a game where you pick boogers), but he's a 6 yr boy whose idea of funny is fart jokes.... One thing to know about the bracelet looms is that with most of the sets you actually need two looms to make the necklaces. You can pretty much only do bracelets and rings with one.
  15. Be prepared with LOTS of paper. Each creature prints on its own sheet.....
  16. "Reading the ads over pie and coffee is SOooo 1997" GottaDeal.com 10 Years of Tactical Advantage (Because MapQuest won't get you out of the mall)
  17. {i have a zombie killing shirt}
  18. Jo Ann fabrics has the bands in packages of one color as well as variety packs
  19. My son LOVED the Octonauts, but is past them now. His big thing was getting online and printing out all the creature cards, which he still has.
  20. Twins here too, though the girls are the big sisters and their brother benefits from them not wanting to share.
  21. They have pallets and end caps stuffed already at ours.
  22. Looking at getting the Princesses each a Kindle Paperwhite (they have ipods and don't need the fire) and maybe one for my DH (he's a technophobe and barely operates a smartphone and also doesn't need the fire) . Never looked at these before. Better now or will Amazon run specials or BF them?
  23. Since I was getting 3 last year, I just went ahead and bought from the web site (5th gen, 32 g). It was worth it to me to skip the gift cards and have them in hand and not have to stalk some poor clerk at 3 am. (it was their "big" gift") They had some good prices on the refurbs as well.
