  1. I got a cocktail-style arcade console on ebay a couple of years ago. The "design" on it is Ms. Pac Man (best game ever), but it also has Frogger, Galaga and Donkey Kong. It's still a hit in our game room--never gets old or goes out of style. And I get a kick out of how my boys and their friends think I'm so "awesome" at Ms. Pac Man. If they only knew how many hours and rolls of quarters I spent to perfect my technique back in the 80s! Here's a link to a site that sells them. Not where I got mine, but worth a look: http://www.arcadesmarket.com/cocktail.index.html
  2. Actually, I asked, and my Target wouldn't hold it for even an hour. In fact, while I was there some employees were discussing how a lady has just left a flatbed full of patio furniture at customer service and said she had been given permission to pick it up at lunchtime. They were trying to figure out who gave her permission, went back and forth on their walkie-talkies, decided nobody did and headed over to put it back on the floor. I was shocked. What they WERE willing to do was hold stuff on a flatbed until people checked out.
  3. Lucky you! I had my eye on that fountain all season. As luck would have it, my son's truck wouldn't start Tuesday morning (when I knew they were marking to 75%), so I wasn't able to get any furniture or other "big" stuff -- like that dang fountain (there were 3 left). By the time his truck was fixed later in the afternoon, it was ALL gone! Guess I'll try again next year.
  4. My hunch was wrong. I raced to Target this morning and found all of the outdoor furniture still at 50%. I asked an employee who was prepping for back to school nearby, and she said it will go to 75% most likely on Monday and definitely by Tuesday.
  5. At my Target tonite, I noticed that the aisles in the outdoor furniture area have been filled with what apparently is the remainder of the backroom inventory of outdoor furniture -- boxes piled taller than me of chairs, tables, ottomans, etc. My good guess is that they brought it all out in anticipation of the outdoor furniture going to 75% in the morning. I'll be there bright and early in the hopes that I'm right! I'll be sure to report back when I get home.
  6. My Target had boxes of Market Pantry pizza rolls on clearance for .24 (75%). I got 8 boxes. They also had the buffalo chicken flavor Pillsbury Savorings for .84 (75%). I only got 2 of those because I wasn't sure if they were good. My boys loved them tonite, though, so I'm hoping there's some left in the morning. One more thing I saw on clearance in the same freezer section was the Ore-Ida (I think) potatoes that come in a bag that you microwave, then mash the potatoes... I think they're called Mash n Steam, although I could be making that up. Anyway, also 75% off. And.... I scored an 8-pack of MP apple juice for .59. The last time I found a couple of those, I was stopped at the register and wasn't allowed to buy them. This time it sailed right through.
  7. Wow, what wonderful timing for you! One morning a couple of years ago, I happened to walk by the outdoor furniture area as they were marking the stuff down to 75%. I was amazed at how many people were there waiting like vultures to grab that furniture! One man had rented a U-Haul and bought everything he could get his hands on. I remember the employees nearly being mobbed as they kept bringing more product out of the stockroom. It was a sight to see, for sure. I managed to get my share, but it's funny how situations like that leave you wanting more. I've missed it the past 2 years and really want to at least get that loveseat this time around.
  8. I did a lot of research on the same subject a while ago and settled on a 14-foot trampoline from jumpsport.com. Their website is very informative, their warranties are great and their customer service is terrific (and human). I had an issue I posted about recently where the trampoline frame began to rust and crack after only 17 months. When I called jumpsport, they asked me to send pics. I sent them that day, and by the next day I had an email telling me they were sending a brand new trampoline (we just put it up yesterday). They said they have fixed the problem with rusting frames by using galvanized metal now... so we'll see. The only part that bothered me was that I had to pay shipping, which their warranty policy states. It was $100 out of my pocket, but they also included a new ($124 value) jumping surface in the box, which was a nice gesture. Whether you buy from them or not, jumpsport is a great site to get an education on trampolines, safety issues, faq, etc. Good luck!
  9. I have my eye on a slingback loveseat that's part of the outdoor furniture section. Anybody know when that summer furniture starts clearancing? Doesn't the back-to-school section typically take that space? If so, I'm thinking it should be in the next few weeks.
  10. Did you happen to see if the boys' auro socks are on clearance, as well? They're my son's all-time favorite socks.
  11. I got mine from woot.com at the same time and also have become a HUGE fan! I was leary at first, but it's worth every penny! Roomba customer service is amazing, as well. My Roomba tangled with a guitar string in my son's room and got stuck in reverse. I called customer service and had the most pleasant experience I've had in a long time. Not only did she patiently walk me through the process of using a screwdriver to disassemble it and laugh with me when we discovered the problem, but she also stayed on the line to ensure I reassembled it correctly AND sent me new replacement wheels and a new debris-collection bin even though what we did fixed the problem. The "proud of myself" sound the Roomba makes when it's done and returns to its dock makes me smile every time.
  12. I found a SpongeBob SquarePants Boombox (CD player + AM/FM radio) marked down to $5.98 today (reg. $29.99). It was in a toy aisle around iDog-type stuff. It's made by Memorex and has good quality sound. The box says it's a "Target Exclusive."
  13. I ended up not making the trip to the Orlando Ikea for the sale but did decide to head over to the new Tampa location anyway. To my surprise (and sheer delight ), the Tampa store was honoring the sale prices for anyone who asked! I ended up getting 2 of the Poang chairs ($39.99 reg. $89.99) and 2 of the Expedit bookcases ($49.99 reg. $89.99) allshoppedout gushed about above. Happy, happy day for me! Here's hoping others with new stores in their area will have similar luck. Now excuse me while I go assemble my new furniture...
  14. What a great name! I've never seen that brand (Sexy Mother Pucker?) before. It must be pretty high end... and hopefully good... for an original price of $14.99.
  15. The UPS man just brought my bulbs to the door. I plan to plant them this weekend and can't wait to see what grows! I didn't even realize that they're guaranteed.... all the better for us!
  16. Wow! Great find. I have $1 MQs for those, as well. I hope my Target has the same deal!
  17. Thanks. I didn't even think about that. It might just be worthwhile to make the trip! The things we do for deals....
  18. Sold! I'm going Saturday. I've been wavering on treating myself to that Poang chair since our new Ikea opened here a couple of weeks ago. And 2 sets of those bookshelves are just what I need for my office! I can't wait! ETA: Dang! I just found out that my store isn't participating in the sale. There is a handful of locations that aren't participating (listed at the bottom of the sale page; link in first post). I called to ask why and was told those stores are too new.
  19. I just discovered it recently myself on another site. The ones that are packaged to be sold in the food court don't have the cardboard wrapper around them, so you can see each juice box individually through the shrink wrap from the front, if that makes sense. A 10-pack rings up .59. My guess is that an APB has been sent out for all cashiers to be on the lookout for those as well as the MM; otherwise, there was no reason for the cashier to stop in the middle of scanning my stuff and deliberately look up to check the price after scanning the first one.
  20. I wasn't as lucky today. I haven't found any of the MM since the recent "memo," but I did find four of the Market Pantry (MP) juice packs that ring up .59. The cashier for some reason stopped and looked at the price when he rang the first one up -- almost like he knew to check. He walked over to another cashier, they whispered back and forth, then he returned and said, "You know these are .59 EACH, right?" He went on to explain how they're supposed to be sold individually at the food court and said someone must have accidentally put them on the shelves. Darn... and to think finding those and the MM were on my list of 100 things that make me happy. Seems like Target is really cracking down on those and coupons.
  21. I just ordered the variety pack ($27.90 shipped) and can't wait to plant them and see what blooms... I don't have much of a green thumb, but I figure with 60+ bulbs in the pack, SOMETHING's gotta grow! Thanks for the great deal!
  22. I picked up a Crosley iCompanion Dock for $4.98 (75% off) yesterday. It's made to connect an iPod to the Crosley turntable; HOWEVER, I gave it a shot to see if it would simply hook up to my a/v receiver, and it does! So.... for those who have an iPod that you'd like to play through a surround system or other home entertainment type of setup, as long as your receiver has an auxilary input for the iPod cord, it works like a charm. Oh, and the wood tone matches my entertainment center perfectly! Happy girl. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41xBbVwSe8L._AA260_.jpg
  23. So I'm not the only one! I was absolutely shocked at the empty shelves in the Easter area tonite. It reminded me of the end of the day at 90% off.... NOTHING left... not even Peeps or baskets. A man and his daughter were there to get Paaz egg dye--with no luck--and also were amazed at the empty shelves and leftovers strewn around. What's up, Target? Not only do I not have Easter clearance to look forward to, but I had to run to CVS just to get some fillers for my sons' baskets tonite.
  24. I ran to Target early this morning after seeing the posts re: these kitchen appliances everyone is talking about going to 75% of more, and the shelves were already cleaned out! I've had my eye on the water dispenser, electric serving trays, a microwave and a small fridge for weeks and the ONE DAY I skip my Target run (yesterday)... poof!! I guess I'm not the only one perimeter perusing on my side of town... I thought about running to some other nearby Targets, but the thought of more disappointment was too much. I guess I'll do without. Congrats to all you gottadealers who were there to snap those goodies up! My day will come.
