My favorite thing about Black Friday is spending the day with my sister and best friend. Also, love picking up good deals. It is really the only day of the year I really buy for myself, but I buy a lot then!!!! Haha. We literally shop till we drop

I am a long time lurker, I've posted before on a few threads, but this is the first time I've ever posted a new one. Sorry if this has been asked before or if it is in the wrong place. I was just wondering when do most retailers such as Old Navy and Kohls usually start up their extended holiday hours. Is it before Black Friday or do they usually not start until December? My sister and a couple of friends and I were discussing this the other day and I am having trouble remembering from years past when most of them usually do. Again, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place..

They have it estimated for January but I would think they would want it to come out before Christmas since that would be the prime time to have people buy it for Christmas gifts lol But maybe not since it just came out in theaters in Sept..hope that helped

The Best Buy in my town (Lexington, KY) did actually have all the seasons of Simpsons except the last two that came out recently for 12.99 when I was there last night. And yeah if I remember correctly they were at Target last year on BF really cheap too. I'm positive the Sex & The City DVDS for 8.99 and I believe that the Simpsons ones were 8.99 or something like that too because my sister bought like one of each thing they had, lol.

Yeah, at the stores I go to here in KY they still offer it everytime I check out even though I usually already have mine in my hand waiting lol..Maybe the cashier was just misinformed or new or something

I have a Hasting's store in the town I live in. I shop in a town that's about 20-25 minutes away though for BF because they have many more stores to choose from. We usually do stop at Hasting's on the way home from the other town when we are done with all our other shopping - probably around 11 AM or so on BF. They don't have great sales necessarily but it is something that we do just because it is on our way. I guess it just depends on what you are looking for and if they have it. I think I bought a couple of newly released disney movies there last year that were at a pretty decent price. I definately don't think I personally would drive an hour away to go there though.

My mom took my sister and I a few times in the 90s. I was probably around 5 or 6 the first time (I'm 20 now) but it is one of the things I remember most at all about my childhood lol However the past 2 years is as long as I have been able to go out and spend my own money. So this will be our third straight year going out together. It feels so nice shopping with her and getting christmas presents and presents for ourselves too lol.
