I started last Monday. A radio station here started playing christmas music 24/7. Usually I change stations for a few weeks till Thanksgiving. But I just recently moved in with my guy after 2 years of long distance, so I have the christmas bug a bit early. My friends are claiming that I am nesting, which is why I am in the christmas mood so early.:)
My sister and I used to use her SUV. But this year she has a solaris, which is not very big. But it is still bigger then my tiny Sunfire.
Hopefully, we can get everything into the car!!
I wear lots of layers. Good comfortable sneakers, jeans, t-shirt, long-sleave shirt, jacket, gloves, hat, scarf. Once inside, I start shedding layers. It gets warm inside the stores really quick!
I love real trees. Normally that was all I ever got. But this year I moved in with my BF and he is deathly alergic to pine! So, for the first time ever I have to find a fake tree that I actually like.
We have tried to set a limit, but we both tend to go over it anyways. This christmas we haven't really set a limit. But we are usually a little over the $100 mark or a bit over in years past.
I have tried to have a budget, but I always end up going over it. There are just too many good deals out there. This year I am not even setting a budget. I know better from past years.
-Write a tagline or phrase for Gottadeal.com
-Write why you need a shirt
-Print a gottadeal.com logo out and go to the store that is your first stop on BF and take a picture.
-Make a gottadeal christmas ornament and post a picture
-Any type of trivia contest (those that get the answers write are put into a raffle for the shirt)
I wonder if any of their pre-lit christmas trees will be on sale. I have been eyeing them a little bit this year. And am hoping they will be on sale on BF.
This is my third year in a row. I did once a few years back and thought it wasn't worth it. Tried it again and decided that there are too many good deals to pass up!! :)
My biggest pet peeve is the line jumpers/cutters. I get up early to get the great deals. I hate seeing people sit in their car or stand across the street, just waiting for the doors to open and then rush the door.
I was very dissappointed in the Target by me last year. They made no effort to stop these line cutters.
It is just me and my sister that go out. No one else is as crazy as us. My sister's husband is talking about going with us, but we keep warning him that he has to keep up if he is going to tag along.
We are serious shoppers.
My sister and I always go over our plan of attack on T-Day. We figure out what time we are meeting, what stores, etc. The morning of we meet up grab hot chocolate (for me), coffee (for her), and a quick breakfast. Then we head out and stand in line waiting for whatever store we plan to hit first (it varies from year to year).
