  1. The order changes from year to year, depending on the ads and times the stores open. But we hit: Meijer Kohl's Target Walmart Toys R Us Best Buy Staples the mall (I usually hit that on my home in the evening. I like to people watch)
  2. I want to research some of the tvs in the ad, but when I look up those model numbers, they don't seem to exist on Sears website. Anyone have a better way for me to research them?
  3. There is so much I love about it. It's time spent with my sister. We both love to shop! I love the anticipation of the deals right before the doors open. It's that start of the christmas season. I love the music, decorations. I love the whole experience of Black Friday!
  4. Line cutters are my biggest pet peeve. I swear every year I try not to let them bug me that much. But every year they really do zap my christmas spirit.
  5. Possibly a tv. Depends on how good the deal is.
  6. It is true. I happened to be at Target tonight and the employee ringing me up had left out an employee FAQ about Black Friday. So of course I casually read it without her noticing. :) From 5am - noon (so yes they are opening at 5am) any customer that spends $100 will get a $10 gift card.
  7. My fur kid always gets a gift and a stocking on christmas. :) This year she is getting a new doggie bed. :)
  8. I usually try to have everything wrapped by the time of our yearly christmas party. It's nice to have things wrapped and looking pretty under the tree. This year the party is a bit earlier then normal (Dec 5th), so I'm going to have to push to get things done early!:)
  9. I make my cards. I've already started buying up my supplies to make them for this year. Hoping to start making them beginning of Nov and get them in the mail the week after Thanksgiving. :)
  10. My first Black Friday with my sister was my most memorable. She had no clue what to expect on BF. So she was so surprised when I told her we had to go get in line at 2am. We were one of the first few to Kohl's that year. We stood around and she thought it was dumb of us to be there at early and then more and more people started showing up. Finally she said she was glad to be so close to the front of the line. Once the doors opened up people went everywhere. That surprised her as well at the hurry everyone was in. After Kohl's we went to Target to stand in line for their doors to open. She was prepared this time. LOL! And we have been BF shopping together ever since. :)
  11. It has been me and my sister for the last three years. This will be our fourth year BF shopping together.
  12. I won last year. I loved wearing my shirt out on BF. I had quite a few comments on it. :) Can't remember what the contest was that I won in.
  13. Everyone loved the GottaDeal BF shirt. So many compliments on it. Started off at Kohl's and was the first one at the jewlery counter. Good thing, cause they only had one of the necklace I was buying. Grabbed some toys and a few of the cheap blankets. Was out of the store by 4:30. Headed over to Meijer, was able to get most of my shopping done and then waited by the still wrapped door-busters. At 5 everyone dived in, it was crazy! But I did get the pizza cooker I needed. Checked out by 5:15. Headed over to Bed Bath & Beyond. My sister and I were the first ones there, so we started a line outside the door. They actually opened their doors early for us!! They were not suppost to open till 6, but we were out the door by 5:40!! Then we headed over to Circuit City. Wow, what a mess. No employees to help direct. Lines for audio, games, computers, and then one normal checkout line that also included rebates, online pick up, and returns. It was such a mess. But my sister got the universal remote she needed. Next was TRU. Got what we need there too. Longest line we were at all morning, but itseemed to move pretty fast. Then we hit Walmart for a few items. Was surprised to see alot of the non-electronic door busters still around. So we picked up some more stuff. Stopped for breakfast at Tim Hortons. Then hit our last few stops. Target, Micheal's, and Bath & Body Works. I got everything I needed, so it was a good BF!
  14. First stop is Kohl's, gonna get in line at 3am. After that is Meijer. Then over to Bed, Bath, Beyond. Then to Target. Then I am going home for a nap. LOL!
  15. Target puts everything out. Once it is gone, it is gone. They don't really have time to restock throughout the day.

    Associate Q&A's

Where do you go to line up for tickets for the jewlery department?
  17. I have never been at Meijer exactly when the sales start. Are things in pallets and then we have to wait to things at 5am? Would trees be on pallets or would they be in the seasonal section? 50% off is the best deal I have seen so far on Black Friday.
  18. Thanks for the heads up! I guess I will be racing to get a ticket quickly!!
  19. To tell you the truth I don't know. This is the first year that I am buying jewerly at Kohl's. I am usually one of the first 20 or so in line that morning outside the store, so I owuld hope that I could get to the jewerly counter pretty quick. I may have to do some recon and ask them how the Kohl's by me handles it.
  20. There is a beautiful diamond necklace that I am getting for my mom. My sister is running over to the games. We both usually pick up one of the nice blankets on sale. I might get some pjs from there as well. :) Also need to do some recon on the watches that will be on sale.
  21. I am sending my boyfriend out to get two papers on Thanksgiving. I don't want to miss any of the ads! And any doubles are good to have on hand in the car, just in case.
  22. Speaking from experience, there probably won't be alot left by Saturday anyways.
  23. This is why I hit Kohl's first every year. 4am, done by 5am, then on to Target which is in the same plaza for their 6am opening. I can't wait!
  24. We are having a party for about 15 people. What would be a good meal to serve for 15 people? I don't have the largest of kitchens to be cooking in . And I don't want to do turkey cause our party is about a week and a half after Thanksgiving. Any suggestions?
