  1. Haha....ain't that the truth!! And the sad part of it is, those are usually in the main aisle at my store, so to get anywhere I've always had to cut through the clothes or find alternate ways of getting around.
  2. I just got back from my last minute thanksgiving dinner trip, but while I was there I made my way through the toys section and came upon 2 associates talking. I asked them where they thought the $88 barbie jeeps would be, and neither one of them had a clue. They went on and on about how Wal-mart had hired the same security company that does events such as the Super Bowl, and that 52 security officers would be in our store. They said that they thought tickets would be handed out for everything. However, while checking out the cashier said that tickets would only be handed out for the big items, like tv's, cameras, etc. So I'm not sure that even then employees at my store have any idea how this will be handled. I'm thinking it's probably going to be a disaster. So good luck to all of you that will be braving the chaos. I'll be right there with you!!!!
  3. This sized scooter isn't made for 6 or 8 year olds. Matter of fact, anything with a 6V battery in it isn't made for that age group. If you want something for those kids, then find something with at least a 12V battery or possibly even gas powered.

    Emerson TV

My advice is spend the extra $100 and get a Vizio. They're awesome!!!
  5. The USPS doesn't forward "junk mail" because the mailer gets a special discounted rate. So the cost of forwarding isn't included.
  6. I use FireFox and it comes up just fine. Our map has 10 items listed and they're all on the location map as well. There are no GPS units on there. There are 4 tv's, 3 laptops, a camera, a camcorder and the Blu-ray player.
  7. Yay!! My map is there. I just wish they listed where a lot of the other stuff will be located. Last year, the DVD's were in apparel, and the PJ's were in the food section. They remodeled our store this summer, so God only knows where they'll decide to put this stuff this year.
  8. As long as you're not expecting $20 pajamas for $3 they're ok. I bought several pairs for my daughters last year and they've held up just fine. They are sized a couple of sizes small, and are made out of a t-shirt type material. We don't live in an extremely cold climate, so the heaviness of the material really doesn't matter to me. I'll be grabbing several again this year as my girls have outgrown last years.
  9. Thanks OP.....my dd 5 saw the commercial for this the other night and said "Mommy, I gotta have that movie!!!" We have all the rest of the Air Bud & buddies movies so of course I have to get this one.
  10. Our Walmart has 2 different brands for $.40/lb. Smaller turkeys (up to about 13lbs) are Jenni-O brand and larger turkeys (in the 20+ lb range) are an off brand called Round Hill. I snagged 2 of the smaller ones yesterday, but there were only about 6 when I got mine. However, there were still plenty of the larger ones. We also have a 2 per person limit.
  11. I believe that it will draw a crowd. And yes people line up early at TRU. So if you're looking to score one of those I'd definitely show up early and plan on waiting a while.
  12. My DD will be 5 next month. I figure she'll be rough on it. So I didn't spring for the DSi, and bought the DS Lite instead. So I guess it just depends on how old he is and if he'll actually take care of it.
  13. Walmart has batteries in their Black Friday ad 2 for $5.00
  14. The ad scan I've got (which is much clearer and readable than the one posted) says eME627
  15. Hello fellow Mountaineer!! I bought my Vizio 32" at Walmart late spring for $350. I love my Vizio and if you've got the means, I would definitely recommend going with a better brand. Anything I've ever owned (cd players, vcr, and tv) that had emerson anywhere on it has been crap. JMO.
  16. LOL!!! That's funny!!! Thanks Brad for all that you and your staff do for us year after year. I'm happy that you guys are getting this much exposure.
  17. It really depends on what you'll be using it for. I personally just got a Dell with an Intel Dual-Core Processor, 4GB RAM, 300GB Hard Drive for $400 without a monitor, but I already had my 22" LG LCD, so I didn't need one.
  18. I think that's what the previous poster was saying. That their child was 18 months when purchased and it will probably last until their 3 1/2 - 4 years old. I too am in the market for this for my DD. I have searched walmart.com as well as the power wheels website and I can't seem to find it anywhere. So if anybody has any info, it would greatly be appreciated.
  19. I have played both Rockband and Guitar Hero. We played them both on a PS3 at a family member's house before we decided which to buy. We bought Guitar Hero World Tour for Wii, and my DD5 absolutely loves it. She plays it as often as I will let her...lol!
  20. Are you even attempting to imply that shopping is the reason for crime? I have been forced to work holidays and hours that I wasn't happy about working and I've never worked retail. That was working for the Postal Service. So does that mean that we can also say that crime is a result of mail delivery? LOL!!!!
  21. I have 4 on one week, but the rest are 1 or 2 in a week.
  22. I've been looking for reviews on this camera as well. Does anybody out there know anything?
  23. 4 miles sounds ridiculous to me....especially since it specifically states the "market area"....I stopped in my local Target this morning and asked the Guest Services associate about their price matching policy and she told me that they would match every competitor ad that we receive in our local paper...and some of those stores are definitely more than 4 miles away.
