  2. I received $40 for $30. I'm not a Stuff Fur Stuff member. I ordered them on the 26th of November and received them on I believe the 4th of December.

I actually tried to cancel them on November 27th (long story) but they did not reply to me until Dec 5th the day after I received them in the mail. They said the couldn't cancel because they had already been shipped. They finally charged my account for them on December 4th.

    vs

Miracle on 34th Street. Original with Maureen O'hara.

My Mom and I always watch this on Thanksgiving.

It was hard to decide because I really enjoy Christmas Vacation

    Home Alone

    vs

A Christmas Carol With George C. Scott

    A Christmas Story

    Elf

I like them both, but I Love when Ralphie looks out the window on Christmas morning and everything is blanketed in snow! Thats what a White Christmas should look like.:yup:

    "Not a Finger!"

    Nightmare Before Christmas

  4. When my dd9 was 3 she had a lisp and that year she wanted a "dump truck and a barbie." However, when she saw Santa something that sounded very profane came out of her mouth-it sounded as though she asked for a "dumb f***ing barbie." Needless to say I received a horrible glare from Santa. I had to bite my lip to stop from laughing.

    :rotflol:

I seriously need to stop taking a sip of my drink when I read posts on here. I almost spit my Coke on my laptop because I was laughing so hard!:yup:

  5. Oh heck no! I can't believe he did that! I would consider reporting him to the police. I know it may seem drastic, but he harassed you at your work place and caused a scene and shouldn't be allowed back in the cafe where you work.

I'm sorry this happened to you. I hope you have a better day.

  6. I just turned in my Angel Tree gifts!:holiday07 I always have soo much fun putting together the presents and then wrappping them up. Now I just need to clean up my wrapping paper mess.

I also donated a bunch of toys to Toys for Tots. My husband said he felt like Santa and our car was his sleigh!:holiday16

Thanks for listing all the great deals and to Target for there 75% off toy celerance!

  7. Like with any job and or career it all depends on the area and the cost of living. My area has a high cost of living, the average single family home in my area is over $500,000, sales tax is 8%, and the schools get a lot of support. It all depends on the area.

I mentioned in another thread that at my Starbucks the coffee gifts even the Christmas Blend coffee are 20% off. They have a set that is A sampler size pack of coffee and chocolates for $7.95 with 20% off the gift will be $6.37 + tax. Its a cute gift and would be nice for a teacher who likes coffee and chocolate.

  8. Oh my, I did not realize people spend that much money on teachers gifts. I would go broke and have no money for my kids Christmas. I hope my kids teachers don't think I am cheap. All the teachers aides (6) will get a little bag with a little hand sanitizer from bath and body works(1.50) each and a chapstick from avon(.69 each) and a picture of my child. The Teachers will get a basket of school supplies (bought when they are on sale at the beginning of the school year) along with some books and a few goodies for them. Does this sound cheap?

I think you gifts sound great! Something personal for the teachers and something for the class. Very nice!
