  1. I would be upset too. I used to work in a deli and make food like that. Sometimes when you get those really much larger pieces they need more time to cook. Its hard when you make a large batch to catch them all but most of the time the cooking is done right. they are supposed to take the thermometer and stick a buch of strips through it to check for doneness....however they will not hit them all. We always check the biggest, fatest ones first when we eat out for that very reason. Glad no one became ill and the store is refunding your money.
  2. Snowed in with the blizzard last night. the wind chill is -32 this morning. To cold to even snow blow outside. We decided its a stay home watch movies, wrap gifts, and watch football. tomorrow its suppose to be 8 and sunny....but then dip down and crappy weather all over again!
  3. I know that I would be really mad as well. In the same breathe I never shop at Km art they are TERRIBLE with having things in stock...it got to the point I NEVER shop there. I used to try and get gameboy games on special at this time of year, they where always out of the games. So what your saying about how its not in stock really is no surprise to me. I think over time people will stop shopping there because they do that and well they will not longer be a retailer. They would be gone if Sears was not with them. Good Luck and I don't blame you a bit for being mad !
  4. I thought everything was going to be fine we all stood around and waited. They started to pull plastic off some of the Mega blocks. The next thing you know the people start pulling at the plastic and I reached in to grab a pink leapster and myself, a girl who was about 10, and a few others where thrown to the ground. The people behind us basiclly used us a floor mat! I hung onto the the item in my hand with all I had. Someone was yelling there is a kid in here, I thought ya she is with me!!!!!!!!!! They knocked the display to the ground when they knocked us to the ground as well. I have never been in anything like that in my years of doing this ( 12 years). i think the girl was ok, I had someone walk on my leg and about knock my glasses off. The register I was at broke down and it took me a hour to check out! I think the crowd was bigger for one of 2 reasons....atleast at the store I was at. 1.the bargins where really great 2. the economy is what it is now OR BOTH Some lady I met in line was tackled to the ground more or less she said. She got the last XBox and someone tried to take it. She held on, lost her shoe, and had her arm stepped on. Someone else had a computer in her cart she went to grab something, and while she turned her back some took off with her cart!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope everyone else had a good shopping day and got there needs and wants!!!!:)
  5. We are cooking ours in the oven as usual. I have dressing, greenbean casserole, rolls, mash potato, gravy, pie, cranberry sauce, lettuce salad....plus whatever snacks that are out while the bird cooks!!! Steph

  9. we have a 50 inch samsung and love it in our living room, we get a lot of compliments on it so I know it is a good tv.
  10. that dvd player stinks , we picked one up . It hooks up fine but then after that dvds will not play none of the controls work on it. I brought mine back and am going to hunt for a better one even if its a bit more money.
  11. I am now leaning toward the 40inch I think that was listed, or maybe it was a 42inch. I wondered if its the one in the store I have seen or not. I thought about grabbing it and PA it but I am worried if its not the one then I am out of luck !
  12. Any idea if this TV may be in the store yet or if its a good tv. we are looking for one for our room , to hang on the wall. thanks in advance steph
  13. If you do not find it for less , let me add that we have that Disney sing it. My girls LOVE it they play it all the time so it will be worth the cost in the end. Even my son who is 12 does it with them, it's really funny to watch him try and sing Hanna songs. Good luck in your hunt! Steph
  14. I went today to see if it would be out on the shelf, and it was not. Has anyone seen this to know if it is made well? Kids & Santa

My dd who is 6 was at school ,and every week there is a special person. When it was my dd week in Sept. she wanted mom and dad to be santa she thought that would be sooo awesome. Someone at school told her last week there is no santa. She came home all mad about it , and her sister who is 9 got involved. She told her ( she still believes) "They are liars! There is a santa I SAW him last year." I said, you did? She said," Yes I know it was him, he had on the big santa suit, those boots and a beard as white as snow." he came in our room and checked if we where awake or not so she closed her eyes fast." She said I heard him down stairs in the livingroom and he made a ho ho ho sound" My dd6 was like WOW!!!!!!!!! I thought holy cow isn't her mind creative!!!!!!!!!!! I told dd9 to keep that story to herself, because there are always kids who don't believe so to keep it under her hat. I think she is going to struggle NOT believeing after that. He brother who is 12 giggles and shakes his head. We have our older child help with shopping, hiding gifts, wrapping etc he thinks its more fun then believing in santa now. the key is to keep it fun when they know. I like the idea if there is no sibling to help with help someone else by being there santa.
  18. I know all those popcorn things seems nuts really. Reminds me of the bathrobes at WM for some reason. The list seems really well.....not that great so far hopefully it will get better!
  19. This maybe kind of boring but what about a certificate to get a manicure attach some polish to it as well. I know where I am at alot of salons have sales on certificates at this time of year. Seems you did a great job on what you have so far.
  20. long sleeve shirt , jacket, gloves with hand warmers, ear muffs, scarf, jeans , socks. Once I get through the first store I take off the jacket and toss on a sweatshirt because i get so warm. I will play my xmas cd in the car as well.
  21. my dh could careless about my bf trips. He knows that is my day with my friend who loves it as much as me. Our son who is 12 will go again this year. I say find a buddy to go with you , if she does not want to go. If she does go she may complain about it the entire time she is with you. steph
  22. my dh waits until the day before to buy for me so needless to say I do ok but usually not get a BIG want. He hates crowds... This year we bougt a together gift...resided out home , and garage along with 10 new windows and did a partial new roof. That was our major Xmas gift it needed to get done so it made the most sense when it cost that much to consider it THE GIFT and a few samll things will still come our way I am sure.
  23. I usually am stressed but this year I planned really well. I stashed away 2,000.00 for the season for Xmas and for my heat bill because they talk how high it will be soon. I have actuaully buckled down and did alot of my shopping. I think its work alot better when you stash money away every month then when its time to shop you have it and it does not interfere with the holiday's
