1. Also, the orange and black Sterilite 18 gallon totes are ringing up 2.48.
2. Halloween at 75% off and most candy at 50% off. Exception: Kraft caramel squares ringing up .49 orig 1.99 making them 75% off. Also, the Mini-Snacks of Sunmaid Raisins (32 mini boxes per bag and scarecrow on front of the bag) are rining up .99 orig 3.99 making them 75% off too. I was just scanning some candy since the sign still read 30% off and was very surprised at those two finds. Everything else was 50%. "Halloween" type candy (body part gummies, gooey eyeballs, pez) were ringing 75% off.
3. Still at 50% here in North DFW.
4. Halloween 50% off today. Scored some miniature Hershey bars for 1.99 and had the $1 off 2 bags coupon, so not a bad deal. Went to several different stores today (WalMart, Target and CVS) and everywhere was picked over. Figured I better buy now for Christmas goodie bags instead of waiting to see if anything is left at 75%.
5. Halloween in North DFW at 50% with the exception of candy. That is 30% off. (Across the street at Wally World, all Halloween candy was 50%). Dollar spot cleared out. Resetting for Christmas stuff this morning. Broke down and bought the Westinghouse TV I was stalking. They had 6 last Thursday, and all were gone this morning except one that was tucked behind another model. Decent reviews (mostly 3 our of 5 stars). I bought it for my bedroom. If anyone has one, would appreciate your thoughts. ###008090763 26" Westinghouse LCD HDTV Model: SK26H640G was $299.99 now 218.98
6. Hubby and I are going to a Halloween party and he is going as the Wolf in Grandma's clothing. We needed a sleeping gown to finish the costume and didn't want to drop a lot of money (as the mask, wolf hands, etc. has already pushed me into the red), so went to Sears last night and picked up a 3X (hubby is 6'2'' and 220) flannel sleeping gown for 16.99 on sale then I stumbled upon a pair of really cute capris for 4.99 for me, so after the coupon, we only had to pay $11.90! Thanks so much for posting this deal!!
7. ###Bath towels, hand towels, bath rugs, bath accessories at 75% today. Make sure to check the tags. Some of the 30% and 50% were thrown in with the 75% off items. Signs were for 30%. There were markdown teams everywhere! I overheard one young lady saying that they needed to hurry as they had 2 hours left and had only marked half the store. ###Rachel Ray lunchboxes 75% ###Lunch totes w/bottle carrier 75% ###PSP Star Wars Battlefront Elite Squadron 9.98 was 19.99 ###PSP Army of Two The 40th Day 7.48 was 29.99 ###Various Party supplies (candy necklaces, paper army masks, etc) 75% off ###Various wrapping paper, bows and tissue 75% (mostly pink and wedding theme)
8. Try scanning some of the dollar items (usually located in bins). Got dishtowels, 3 pack dish clothes, hand towels, bendy straws, 3 pack plastic cups with seaside type designs and all the back to school type items (dog paperclips, cat paperclips, highlighters, 2 pack carbiner clips, etc) for 90% off. Everything was ringing .09. Also found small bags of goldfish crackers originally .99 ringing .09 each. Expiration dates are 12/11/10.
9. Too funny! Whenever I get something at 90% off, the 75% sales seem a little too pricey for my taste!! I am so glad to see others were able to find some hidden treasures. If you didn't, don't give up! Holidays are coming, and the clearances always get really interesting.
10. Found the large count (6-8 count) RubberMaid Take A Longs marked down 90% today at CVS. Not marked, but were in an unusual space (not with the other food storage containers) so I scanned them and was pleasantly surprised. I know that I saw coupons in the paper (maybe last Sunday?) which would have been really sweet, but I didn't clip mine. Oh well, still happy with the purchase. Containers were originally 5.99, got them for .59 and the drink bottles were .63, originally 6.39. Also, the candy was .09 (90% off .99).
11. Went yesterday, and the promo they have going now for buy 2 video games get one free also applies. You can buy the clearance games, get additional 25% off and get one of the same or lesser value free. The Allen TRU still had a decent selection of games left for PSP, PS2, Wii and DS platforms.
12. School supplies are 50% off here. Also found the large boxes of fruit snacks (20 count) w/Scooby and SpongeBob on the front for 50% off. The snack cups (cheese crackers, teddy grahams, etc) were 50% off, making them .49 and the large boxes of Rice Crispy treats (16 count) were ringing up 50% off too. Miscellaneous Rubbermaid storage/food containers also half off.

16. Hit a second Target (Park in Plano) this afternoon and scored the rocks with solar lights!! So happy! I'm lovin' my solar lights that I scored from last summer's clearance and never thought I'd be able to score the floodlights. They had about 7 boxes left after I picked up a couple. ###009110084 Solar Rock Floodlights 12.48 was 49.99 They also had a TON of rakes in various sizes and loads of backpacks at 75% off. Almost didn't stop . . . but so glad I did!!
17. ###Garden 75% ###Back to School 75% (with the exception of calculators-still 30%) ###Camping 50% (saw tents and canopies) Got some great deals today. Lawn fertilizers, bug repellent, drip trays, hoses, fire ant killer, .03 folders, binders, .32 glue sticks (2 packs), manilla paper, 10 pack bic pens for a quarter. North Garland still had quite a bit left. Brown dollar spot was also 50% at this location.
18. I would give it a try. My Mother was visiting from Florida over the summer and had some print out with her name at my local CVS and gave them to me. I used them without a problem. I used them in conjunction with my CVS ExtraCare card and the clerk took them no problem. Don't remember if they beeped, so not sure if she had to "override" the system. Maybe if you have a clerk that knows you, that might help? Good Luck. I feel less of a sting when I'm forking out money for my prescriptions and get a gift card worth a few $$!
19. BTS still 50% here, but most of it was stacked in carts. Everything was a mess and there were a few halloween baskets out. So, figuring they will either be salvaging the school supplies or taking them in back to mark down and relocate/condense the isles. Hoping for the latter! Domestics holding at 30%. Pool supplies finally dropped to 50%. Broke down and picked up the 11.5 ft pole. ###091110592 11.5 foot tele pole 14.48 was 28.99 Lots of markdowns in ladies clothing. Bathing suits were 50% to 75% off.
20. Went to another CVS this morning and found Nerf guns for 75% off and all the Toy Story 3 toys were 75% as well. Anyone interested in Ben 10 and Iron Man, they were also 75% off. So glad I stopped by! Knocked out some serious Christmas shopping today.
21. Thanks for the heads up on clearance! Been waiting to see when it would go 75%. Not nearly as much this year, but still managed to get the Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce (.57), Lawry's marinating sauce (.82), Vlasic Dills (.82) and Weber Grill seasonings (.49). Also found the topsy turvey tomato plants for 2.49. I got tons of stuff last year at 90% off, but none of the stores are stocked like they were last summer, so didn't want to wait. Walked out with 4 stuffed bags for 14 dollars and change, so pretty happy.:)
22. My sons started rotating classes in 3rd grade, so I've had to buy for a minimum of 6 teachers each year plus I always buy for PE, library, computer, music and administration. Last year, I even bought for the cafeteria staff. So I try really hard to shop early and stretch my money. I had this idea a couple of years ago, and it was a big hit. If you have a Michaels close by, they always carry a great selection of calendars for only a buck. Two years ago, they had M & M's calendars for $1, so I bought 18 calendars and a couple bags of snack size M & M's (If you can hit Walmart after Halloween, the candy will be 50% off and some of the M & M's will not have the Halloween theme printed on them, but you have to look). The bags of candy contained about 15 snack packs of M & M's, so two bags was all I needed. I used some pretty ribbon and tied the pack of M & M's onto the calendar, slightly cinching them in the center (kind of looked like a bow tie). Great bang for the buck and useful all year round! If you're REALLY patient and have the time, you could even use the 40% coupons Michaels has in the Sunday paper to get the calendars for .60, but you can only use one per customer and my Michaels is pretty strict about their coupon policy. I didn't have the tenacity for that, but it would save you a little more moola. Good Luck!
23. Tons of red tags everywhere I looked today, except electronics. Nothing at 75%, but there are lots of things I will be watching. Stocked up on the frozen fruit (at 50% off too). If you are buying the frozen foods, make sure to check the expiration date. I always check my items and quite a few of them in the freezers had expiration dates of May and June of this year! ###patio lights 30% ###patio furniture 50% ###lawn and garden chemicals 30% ###exercise items (dumbbells, gloves, mats) 30% ###backpacks 50% ###swim toys 30% ###pool accessories 30% ###radio flyer wagon 30% ###domestics 30% ###topsy turvey tomato plant kit 4.98 was 9.99 (50%)
24. Scored the Amana 3 burner grill last year on September 16th for 75%. Around here, the middle of September is usually when the remaining summer items and grills get marked. I agree that it takes vigilance . . . and a little luck never hurt! Hope you get one.
