I have been picking up small items throughout the year. My goal every year is to be done by BF, but my main hurdle is whether or not I can come up with good ideas. The shopping list is really coming along so I am looking forward to those ads

November 1st seems to be the real start for me.

RiteAid usually has little tins of Nivea hand cream 2 or3/$1.00. My daughters and SIL's all love them!

I already have a few gifts. Can't wait till everything is in full swing!

Our family is VERY hard on vacuums! I have had two Orecks over the past twenty years. Many times they were treated more like shop vacs due to multiple home renovations, but like the energizer bunny, they kept on ticking They are especially good on wood and tile floors, a feature that is hard to find in a vacuum. During that time frame I have also had numerous "cheapie" secondary vacuums, none lasted very long. One of our cheapies was a bagless which I did find very effective on pet hair. I went to go check out the Shark at Sam's Club. I ran into a lady who cleans homes and swears by the Shark. Said she has all of her clients buy one. I have had mine for about six months and couldn't be more pleased. While it can be a bit ungainly at times, it really does do a great job. I know the Dyson gets great reviews as well, but I can't imagine it working any better, especially for the huge price difference.

A belated update for Brad that the shirt I won arrived safely, thanks again! I guess I should be extra grateful I didn't order anything this year. I hope everyone whose orders were messed up gets everything straightened out!

I did think about trying to take pics of the HD ad, but I figured Brad probably couldn't post them due to the HD Lawyer letter I was dying to see if they would have a 7.5 ft tree on sale, which they do for $79.99. I am pretty sure it is the same one as last year. All other trees are 20% off. I am not sure why they treated this like a state secret as I didn't any "buy one bolt, get the rest of the store free" type deals . When I was in there today I did tell the very nice lady at the Customer Service desk they should release their ad next year as they are going to lose money. Many of us already have our shopping planned and won't spend nearly as much time/money as we might have.

A lucky co-worker had all of the ads delivered to her this morning. She doesn't even subscribe to the newspaper! Thankfully she brought them for me to look at as well. Finally got to see the Home Depot ad

I am just wondering why Home Depot is holding back this late in the game.

Are we going to have to wait to see their ad in print?

They are very picky about their price match policy. I just tried getting a price match adjustment for a Target.com order as stated on their website. Purchased item on Monday, and today it is on sale for 40% off. Since discount is not reflected until you add it to your cart, they will not adjust the price! Now Target will pay to pack and ship another heavy order and I will return the one I bought Monday. Crazy on their part cause it is costing them a lot more money than just giving me the price adjustment

I believe I read that you can now stack up to four coupon codes/KC. One of the most generous policies around!

Home Depot, Lowes, JoAnn's and Amazon for movies and games.

1) After adding in shopping for two birthdays perhaps $600 2) I refuse to got out Thanksgiving Day but will make up for it on BF. We will visit perhaps 10 stores. 3) Online shopping will most likely be less than last year. That will be mainly due to the fact that many items on our list are too large/expensive to ship. Nonetheless, my UPS delivery guy will still be getting a good workout this season!!

I am still anxiously waiting for Home Depot and Macy's. Of course the ones I want to see most are among the last to be released!

The past two years the Macy's ad has been out really early. Last year it was out Oct 23rd. Anxiously waiting!

Have used fake trees for a very long time now, much easier to deal with. Home Depot usually has a great deal on BF. That was where I got my new one last year.
